  1. Well, my friend, it was that or this: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QQCZAp0Tm4eKqt*jqX45tdzZOUWGDVeLTLaBHzYM*6savbQmL2dQuBgNlY5m*bzdocXw5Gx8s6ayD!bhi4DD0eQKAccVWF*TWrPrQI9Id0w/float.gif ***AGHAAAAAAAAAAA....I thought that was the toilet door.....**** Good luck up there buddy. Edity: Which reminds me... ***US Airforce Mandalorian redefines the word 'mellow,' top brass taking note***

  3. No worries dude. Obviously, crossed wires!

  5. San Antonian US Airforce Rebellion fanatic struggles with basic training... *The story behind that is quite good too (pilot leaves plane idling with brakes off and manages to total about 3 aircraft including this one).
  6. The European debate rages on... Edit:...A bad day on Hoth
  7. Given we're a small community, one good way of meeting up with people and having a chat is to plan it in advance. For example; lets all meet up at 20:00 hours gmt tonight!
  8. As you see I have sad as a first word "Exactly" which means I AGREE. So don't start to feel your self offended when I ad a second fact to yours. All I said is that you are right and that... Ho sorry I forgot that a "beautiful wilderness" is more important than fabulous temples, a few hundreds American, English and Iranians soldiers, a few towns and the hole population of a country. Personally I can' see why we shoaled favours a “beautiful wilderness to all of that. Oh and for your first fact, I think even me, if I was a very high member of the US army, would have said so: ask for an investigation and clam that people should know what has happened, but just if every thing is discovered. It is much easier then, because people think you are for them. Any one can change sides and blame some one ell like the pore soldiers that goes in prison for ONE year (as you said, but sorry, I don't think that is enough) at your place. Oh and if he was really the bad one, why does he go in prison just for ONE year. Come one it doesn’t holed, or he has done that one his one will, and then 1 year is nothing compeer to the crime. Or he has received orders and we tolled him to be quiet and he will have a great life after a small year of prison (if you see what I mean.) Now I am not affirming nay thing, I am just saying what I think and what I understand from what is in the Swiss news. I just hope I haven't "slice up their paragraphs get your facts right" too much and that I haven't "Please don't quote me in future and then go off on a subject which had nothing to do with what I was originally saying " given you the occasion of putting that phrase again. But sorry for quoting you if you don't like it, I will try to avoid doing it. Editted by Trejiuvanat. Editted the Quotes. Well your last line has taken the edge of my dim view of you. If you had bothered to think about my original post and got to the end of it, before you started quoting lines here and there out of context as an excuse to express your own views, you might have realized I have a very cynical view of all this Iraq crap, and the effect all this oil-dependancy is doing to the world. But my guess is that your a student and more prepared to talk loudly about life as if you know all about it when you're still at school. And after all I said about badly quoting me you do it again and imply I think it's ok to devestate a country in preferance to beautiful wilderness. Fool. Oh and how dare you. I hate all the destruction to human and environmental life western society's dependance on oil is doing. I would like something left for my kid's grandchildren to enjoy other than societies ripped apart my conflict and a planet seriously screwed because of the greed and foolishness of not just men like George Bush (he's an easy target) but the multitude of other business men running the economies of the modern world; your home-country as well. No one has got any moral high ground above anybody else. It's all a load of bollocks. Whilst Bush and Blair invade Iraq; European industry invests in Burma, dodgy Arab regimes in the Middle East, etc; just because it's not on your newsscreens it doesn't mean a abuses of human right's and dignity are not happening. Go and speak to a Tibetan forcably sterilized by the Chinese-invaders; whose 'economic miricle' the western world has been guilty of aiding with a blind eye to systematic huiman-abuses. Or how much Swiss money is investwed in Syria who gasses their Kurdish people and whose state makes racist anti-jewish TV programes depicting Jewish people as child-eaters. This is an age of madness. IAALOB. Don't quote me in future. You don't read what you'r quoting from.
  9. What do you mean "freedom to expose abuses" no one would have known about the torturing of this Iraqis in that prison if they hadn’t been a like in the armies high quarters. It was going to continue with the support of the CIA or would have been stopped and hidden for at least 50 years. Not to say that the French government did differently during WW I but that isn’t freedom. With out mentioning the outrageous Guantanamo and the secret prisoners that were captured in Afghanistan during the War but that ARN'T war prisoners, all of that to avoid the Geneva’s Convention to apply. Right, before you quote people and slice up their paragraphs get your facts right. I don't know what planet you're from but haven't you noticed the media outrage concerning Cuba and that Iraqi prison? There's also the small matter of one US soldier being jailed for a year for his part and Ms England presently on trial. Day after day I read news articles by journalists or politicians wanting to press the issue of how people are treated at these places. So what's you point concerning my statement of freedom and liberty? Me no comprehend. What you've said makes no sense in connection with what you coquoted me on. Suggestion: Read a newspaper. Exactly so why is Bush saying that this is a crusade against the bad, that we are supported by good. That "God will lead our hands". My God have we went back to the time of kings and Moslems castles. To the Spanish inquisitions and all of that. Next thing is every body that hasn’t been to church will be fined. Come one, these times when an Arab is good dead or converted to Catholics (in that case there is a new section: owner of petrol fields) are finished, we are supposed to be tolerant and open to other religion. The worst is that the "bad ones" chef says the same thing that the "good ones" chef says. I now that France isn’t better with there new rules. Again, please don't quote me and waffle off onto something with nothing to do with the quote. My stsatement has nothing to do with what comes out of George Bush's gob concerning his own spiritual beliefs. It rather obviosly addressed the stupidity of someone with fanatical religious beliefs pre4pared to blow themselves up along with a few innocent passers by; in the name of version of god. What about all the reserves in California and in Alaska? Is it that Americans want to us there on reserves in last like that they will be the only ones having petrol? Or is it because Family Bush and the rest of his friends don't have any fields over there? Yeah well keep your voice down because if you read the papers you would know that Bush is trying to oil Alaska which is what we don't want for god's sake! We don't want to many more Exxon disasters spoiling a rather beautiful wilderness do we?? Please don't quote me in future and then go off on a subject which had nothing to do with what I was orginally saying. Editted by Trejiuvanat, so the quotes don't get too confusing.

  12. ***bangs head on keyboard*** George Bush; despite the fact I don't see eye-to-eye with his policies is not some dark angel anymore than other world leaders. The French blew up a Greenpeace ship in New Zealand killing some bloke a couple of years ago, and went ahead with nuclear tests in defiance of global outrage. Their opposition to the war in Iraq was quite simply because of their own economic interests which they would loose out on when unable to trade with a butcher and complete tosser like Saddam Hussain, which they appear to have enjoying for years. Big moral ground boys. Lecture America and the UK not about your concerns for the welfare of the Iraqi peiople. For morals you have had not much when the despot was in power. My cousen lives in southern France, and before the war expressed genuine concern about the economic effects of a war for the region around him. The majority of Muslim regimes don't seem to understand the concept of human rights and torture (not that the US or the UK seem to.. though at least our countries have the liberty and freedom to expose abuses... ), these Islamic insurgents in Iraq all of a sudden seem to have forgotten how their Islamic fellow-brothers might not want to get blown to oblivion in one of their car bombs; because I am sick of hearing Muslim people talking about the sanctity of their fellow Muslims. Evident in Iraq at the moment. Obviously. Thanks. So that also makes non-muslims less in the eyes of them and their interpretation of their God. Sorry to brake the news lads, but God isn't going to be anymore Muslim than it is Christian, Pagan, Hindu, or whatever. They might find themselves very acountable for their wicked crimes against people standing outside churches or bus stops or whatever following their rather pathetic suicides. Anyway, Iraq was bound to happen. The west needs a stable supply of it's oil. Hussain wasn't playing ball, and that's that. It's a crap excuse for a war and so much disruption and pain for the Iraqi people, but it's nothing new. There's always a reason for a war. There always has been. Years ago it was the civilizations in the Middle East flexing their muscle and giving other people grief. It's like a game of Go. I wish I had been born a bit of lichen in a cave, it's not just Michael Moore or George Bush that make me cringe; it's five thousand years of human history. ***Sigh*** Prepares to be quoted and ripped apart...
  13. No I didn't dude! Eek! Good to you about Jin btw!
  14. Not worthy a new thread... but: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TwAAAJ0YbgmaaQiQpF2FxhAEipdAfhOeHiy9R6qG6*TDw6egeIini5KDDgvTQKnthGaadwBvJm6VpTv1xhz8Sc1fJwGwpvHsM8Z*7kEljaaEO5o1W!oKeA/Tyson_trowel.jpg ..me as lots of Pepsi across my monitor and up my nose...

  17. Good stuff. Our Imperial doctorine of dictatorship and oppression is finally getting through! It also works wonders to let the rebel vermin have an entire sector because it enables you to civilian-bombard with impunity. Who cares if they hate you when an entire sector hasn't got one mine or refinery to aid the scum. It also lessons the chances of you suffering natural disasters. And if you want to win, leave those systems with 7 construction yards and 5 training facilities alone. They're useless without any maintenance points to build anything with. **Pushes a few rebel captives into a glass cube full of piranha beetles to enjoy breakfast**

  19. Speaking nonsense this is. The 'British Army' at Dunkirk was an expeditionary force sent to France in 1939, and wasn't exlusively British at the time of the evacuation. Their were soldiers from the occupied nations all over Europe present. It wasn't even a British Army. The British Navy ruled the waves. With the help of the the United States supplying the UK with destroyers on a lease aggreement, the Royal Navy overcame everything the Germans through at us, including the destruction of 800 u-boats. The German Navy was largly dismantled to provide coastal defense batteries in Norway following one of Hitler's 'enlightened' desisions. The German Blitzkrieg across Europe owed it's success to General Heinz Guderian, who was without doubt the finest exponent of armoured warfare the 20th century has produced; his operations terrified his own commanders! Again, Hitler screwed up by retiring him following a tactical withdrawl in 1942. It could be argued that his oversight was using 60-ton tanks. They needed a hell of a lot of petrol. Hence Germany's eventual downfall.
  20. I think that the Star Wars Technical Commentaries web-site is a prime example of StaR Wars over-kill, finely balanced with gibberish. In other words it's full of crap. Just my own humble oppinion.
  21. There are none given it was one of the ships 'invented' for the game... ..that shouldn't stop the creative process however... so good luck dude!
  22. I disagree. I think our Star Wars mythos has been absolutely ruined by outsider writers, spawning myths like how crap the TIE fighter is for example. Ben refers to the one they encounter nearing the Death Star 'as only a short-range fighter,' meaning the Empire had far more advanced fighters than the 'antiques,' on display at Yavin.... The Suncrusher, Devestators, 12 mile long Eclipses... Star Wars has got stupid... I just want to see GL reclaim his vision from all the c-rate authors trashing the SW universe with dodgy-stuff..... save perhaps for Zahn, who wrote a largly sensible series of books.
  23. Gosh! Well my Texan-friend, that has to be the best post I have ever read here or anywhere concerning Star Wars. It has revolutionized my evening. I am in your honor for the information. Stunned. But happy... http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RwDVAmIWsUAuQ5jO7CRMgVlOzkfRENPCjvQoiLm5RwWk4k7rD10UHYz5HpKD5H*QdoxnF*YvBaiK2EtGnL4Ct7bkFXc5d5CooL0!CSIFg6I/stupidposts.gif ...err....only kidding! Woo to you sir!
  24. Surfing the web... finding stuff... and figuring if it made me laugh (and occassionally spit tea/water/lager whatever across a monitor) it might amuse the dudes here... I had to apologize to my tutor today when I found that last one.... apparently I laughed 'to loudly.' Such are the joys of life ah!
