Good question. Based on Epi II, there doesn`t seem to be any one thing driving him to the dark side. I think Lucas was trying to show that in Epi II, but all I saw was a spoilt teenager that needed a good kick in the ass... However I would guess that the theme that will come out in Epi III is the whole part about Obi Wan not giving him his due. You`ll notice Palpy is already stroking his ego in Epi II. My guess is Doku is going to get wacked and then replaced by Anakin.

I`ve played all the Baldur`s Gate games, as well as Icewind Dale I and II. Now I`m starting Neverwinter Nights. Played tons of Age of Empires. Great game. Got Age of Mythology a while back and it is quite cool. Excellent graphics.

Scathane, can you be more specific. I`ve played the rebels a hundred times and never noticed Luke making that statement, so it must be a specific series of events that kicks off that statement. Of course, he always starts on Tattoine so I have to move him eventually. When Luke is on Tattoine and I move him to another planet, he just says `you got it`. If I send him on a mission he just says `right away`. Thanks.

Then I learned how to: move prisonners train jedi figure out why my chars were turning traitor use decoys how research worked... You get the picture. Now of course, I do know everything about the game. Well, I think I do...

If you go to the troop panel it will tell you at the top. For a planet with high morale, it will be zero. Otherwise, it runs from1 to 12. 12 means you're probably in uprising.

I've never played on the Zone before. Does it allow you to save games to continue later like IP games, or do you have to finish the game in one shot?

What Scathane says. Cookies can also be used to determine browsing patterns, so I suppose that is a form of privacy invasion. I realize that they can't be used to access any information on my hard drive. My main concern with cookies is that they are used by corporations to try and track our behaviour on the Web. I only allow cookies from trusted sites, like this one! For example, my SWR cookie ensures that I don't have to log on every time. BTW Wormie, I was not critiziting you in anyway, it was just an observation that I thought it odd that KFC would even have cookies...

I try to use my chars as much as possible, so I use the idle char option a lot. Got to keep those buggers busy.

Glandry dude, what the hell are you talkng about? Well, in essence, he's saying that since you changed your icon his cookie blocker blocked a cookie from KFC... Wormie, I use a tool called Cookie Pal to help control the cookies that end up on my PC. Everytime a website tries to stick a cookie on my PC, I get a pop up to either block it or accept it. The first time I logged into SWR and you had your new Colonel logo, KFC tried to stick a cookie on my PC. BTW KFC = Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Well, to be realistic, if Palpatine was willing to exterminate every single Gungan on Naboo, some backwater little planet in the middle of nowhere, what is the likelyhood that he would have tolerated a bunch of Ewoks within walking distance of his DS Shield Generator. Maybe he was getting mellow in his old age, but for someone who can foresee so many things, he should have been paying more attention to his back yard. Sometimes I get the feeling that Lucas was just a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing, and didn't pay a lot of attention to the actual story and whether or not it made sense. There are many examples that just don't sync up from one movie to the other, like Obi Wan saying he was trained by Yoda, when in fact it was Qui Gon, or like that whole thing with keeping the force in balance (see other thread). Oh well, Leia in slave clothes...

That ending sucks big time. The only thing ewoks are good for is the BBQ. NO WAY they could have beaten stormtroopers. Same thing with the space battle. I can see the rebels sabotaging the shield generator and destroying the the Death Star. But no way their fleet or ground forces should have survived...

Tóuche! Again, the explanation reveals to be far simplier then the complicated problem had it seem. But, seriously, the number of good-vs-evil Jedi seems much more even then in the times of the Old Republic... which kind-of reminds me of destructive construction - destroy to build... that sort of thing. If this is true, then we might be looking at a Jedi massacre in Episode III... Something I wouldn't mind at all... Oh, there will be a masacre! The metaclorians (sp) will be flying all over the place. I expect to see Obi Wan, Anikan (Now Darth), and Yoda left standing. Maybe a few others.

Sounds reasonable to me. Use the Corvettes and the Carrier to take out the Ties then go after the ISD. Use the X-Wings right away on the ISD. I'd bet on the Rebels with this match up.

I don't think this is called the 'final battle', but there are special events when Leia confronts Vader or Palpatine. If she realizes she has the force (Luke told her), then she gets pretty good force increases as well. Leia and Luke have the potential to become the strongest chars in the game.

Dude, this is indeed a problem. Against the computer its ok, because the AI is too stupid to go after Luke. But it sounds like your friend knows what he's doing. Taking Luke out early is a good strategy if you are the imperials. One thing you can try is to keep him very mobile. Don't use him for missions where he is on one planet for a long period of time, like diplomacy or incite/subdue uprrising. Put him on a fleet with some good troops and a general and use him for sabotage missions until he goes to Dagobath.

Oh oh, there goes my theory about Canadians being the rebels. Well, it does get cold enough here to turn blue...
