  1. I like Rebellion Reloaded.
  2. OK, it's easy. Go ahead and start the battle. Beat him up good and when you're sure you can win and you want to simulate from that point on, click on the "battle options" button, it's the purple circle, then click on the >>l button to simulate the rest of the battle. You can see this button on page 151 of the manual.

    Help!

Hey Alpha, I'm Canadian, and it is our fault. Rebellion is really a cheap way for Canada (have you seen what our dollar is worth lately...) way to train strategic and tactical experts in order to take over the galaxy. Kinda like that movie "The Last Starfighter".
  4. Hey, I'm real happy the forums are back up!! I've been off the game for a while, but a couple of weekends ago I rented Empire Strikes back, and before the tape had rewinded I was starting up a game of Rebellion!!
  5. I only build defenses on planets where I have important production facilities, like shipyards, training facilities or contruction yards. For those planets, I put 2 gencores and either 9 Sullustan or 3 Dark Trooper regiments, to prevent sabotage. That's it. The rest gets nothing. Sure the AI comes along now and then to bomb or sometimes assault the planet, but I keep a decent sized fleet in each sector and just bomb those poor bastards the AI dropped on my planet. This helps keep maximum maintenance free for attack fleets. I used to play super defensive, now I play super offensive.
  6. This is what I do when I'm playing online. We never simulate the battle. A large part of the game is being able fight these battles. You may be in a losing situation, but if you play out the battle you should generally be able to take out some caps. When the AI simulates, you tend to lose everything and only take out a few fighters. Also, you can always target the gravity well ship then get the hell out of there if you want to preserve your fleet. Once one of you have disabled all of the other's ships, you can always simulate at that point to avoid wasting time in "mopping up".
  7. Another thing that is fun... When I play as the alliance, I like to take over Coruscant early in the game and install my Rebel base there. Hehehe.
  8. Ultimately, what technique do you use to find the rebel base? Fun for me is using RebEd to make the opponent strong enough to be able to beat me. It's been too long since I lost a game...
  9. Hey Ulitmately Demise, if you want the AI to build a death star, just use RebEd, go into galaxy mapper, and set each system to an importance of "high" and as "colonized". The AI builds at least one death start per game, sometimes even more. I've successfully blown it up in fighter attach runs, and once had the chance to have Luke sabotage it. Very cool. The other advantage of this modification is there is a lot more maintenance in the game. Both for you and for the AI. Makes for some kick-ass tactical battles. Nothing like taking on a fleet with 20 SSDs and associated caps and fighters...
