  1. Trejiuvanat looks around and closes doors and windows. His heart is beating violently. One name drives terror in his mind. Zoot. Zoot. The FAQ sectin could be filled with the questions that have been asked around. There are Pucho's questtions around, editing questions, newbie questions and we have answered them...
  2. Yeah, it's frustrating when your battles consist of ten ISD versus a whole fleet a crappy bulk transports two escort carrier, half loaded, and two or three ocrvettes.
  3. I think no one writes in the FAQ because we most of the people that had questions simply put it as a new forum topic. Or it may be for Zoot's reputation. I wouldn't write anythign to fill the FAQ because of that cat...
  4. No, actually they simply bounced out of the battle. No. The book says that Hobbie crashes his Snowspeeder into the cockpit of the AT-AT. Hobbie survives, as does Veers, he loses his legs and rejects robotic implants. He chooses his repulsor carriage over that, and is treated more like a strategist far away from the battle. I'll quote the Essential Guide: "During the battle of Hith, Genereal Veers completely routed an entrenched enemy with minimal imperial loss of life. One of the casualties, however, was nearly Veershimself, when a snowspeeder rammed into the head of Blizzard One, Veers's command AT-AT. The General managed to throw himself into the neck corridor just before impact, but suffered severe injure to his legs."
  5. Nothing could happen on Krall. That was something Iulan S'Tor firmly believed. Krall was the homeworld of Iulan Stora his grand-uncle. he had visited the planet before. Fair beaches and forest everything teeming with life. A sanctuary of the Force much like Endor. So when his A-Wing dropped out of hyperspace he felt a soothing feeling coming fromt he planet. "Immortal, remain decloaked. The sensors we use while cloak may serve well in dogfights. But for scanning the surface they aren't that good. Any sign of danger and we cloak and get out of here. Five, you know this place. Lead the way." Luke Skywalker ordered. "Yes, sir." The mission details had been sketchy. Elvis had mentioned that there were rumors of a strange meteor crashing on the planet. Given the Outbound Jedi description of a Yuuzhan Vong ships a strange meteor seemed to fit that description. Elvis had trusted them to find it by chance, which had resulted in Luke's comment of there being no luck or chance. Only the Force. Iulan thought that it would be pretty hard for Elvis to work with a dozen Jedi. Well, eleven and a Jedi wannabe, which was in it's own way very dangerous. "Immortal, Elvis said that the meteor probably had crashed near the poles, looking for it in ice should be easier." Luke commented. "Five, nine here. I have its location." Iulor noted. "Yes, good." Iulan said not sure of how the elder man had known. "Reach out Iulan, you'll sense a black spot in the Force, a void. That is characteristic for the Yuuzhan Vong." Iulor said, as if reading his thought. Iulan lead Luke and the rest of the squadron to the position Iulro had pinpointed. Luke and Iulan's Two Flight did a flew more flyovers while the squadron landed. Luke, meanwhile put a call on Elvis. "Elvis, we have found the ship, small, warship class. Corvette analog. Some of the Immortals are oging to check it out." "Good, i will send a ship to retrieve it." Luke clicked the transmission off. The Republic didn't have enough money to run that many relays from Krall to Clak'Dor. "Lead, five here. New ship in orbit. Star Destroyer." "Yes, Immortals get back to your ships, let's draw the imps away from the Vong ship." Luke ordered. "Lead, Five. You might want to put a call for Elvis. There are more ships coming in." Luke checked his scopes and didn't doubt of putting another call for Elvis. OOC: It's time for our Imperials to react.
  6. Essential Guide says that Veers was crippled after Hobbie crashed his Snowspeeder into Blizzard 1, he wound up on a repulsorlift carriage. he and his troops were planetside on Endor, and his ties to VAder didn't favor him after the Endor Debacle. He served under Clone Palpy and died in the battle for Governor Beltane's fortress on Balmorra. Flennic could do, but again it is much like Rogriss we need pics.
  7. A stormtrooper straightens at the mention of security personnel Sorry sir, we were posing for the rest of the pictures. The falsh blinded us for a few seconds. You know how stormtrooper helmets are like. But please no reevaluation...
  8. These guys can fly. Iulan thought for himself as he focused on the simulation. Elvis had insisted on the X and E-Wing simulators. Bad thing was that they hadn't faced any Yuuzhan Vong starfighters until now. Which meant to run Immortal Squad thourgh standard simulations. Each flight had had prodigious results in the dreaded Korolev mission, missions with changing objectives and conditions hadn't prov a challenge at all. And flying, well, they had taken on wing of TIE Interceptors and had lowered the numbers of enemies down to twenty with only three losses for the Immortals. Now the sim consisted in facing the three flights in an all against all situation, all flights in X-Wings. Luke lead One Flight, Iulan Two Flight, and Iulor Grandad Three Flight. His Jedi training was proceedig well enough, with the Caamasi he felt an omnipresent soothing peace around him, which helped him on most exercises. He had learnt to move small objects and expand his "sphere of responsibilty." FOcus. That was Elegae. "Two Flight on me. We'll go head-to-head agaisnt Three FLight. Dual bursts, keep shields leveled." Iulan ordered. SOme fighter from One FLight swarmed around. Iulan's finger rested on his trigger as his newly developed danger sense kicked in. He reacted and evaded to the left as a burst from Luke's X-wing heated the space he had just been. Iulan that his flight had started the head-to head against Iulor targeted Luke. He sped towards him as the simulator turned black, and his cockpit opened. In the intensely lit simulator room. General Elvis Miggell stood tall. "We have a mission for you." He lead the immortal to a briefing room. The holoprjector came to life and focuse on a planet Iulan already knew. Krall. ...
  9. Rjiuvan Shai's heart was pounding violently, today would be the first conquest in the name of Yun-Yuuzhan. He felt the deccelaration of the Dovin Basals as the yorik coral warship exited dark space. The world below him was a lush green world. Few clouds covered it and the azure seas could be seen from orbit. "We are here. Glory fo the Gods." Shedao Shai cried. "Yun Yuuzhan, we offer you the world of Endor for your protection in the void. May you ever be the greatest of all the gods." Endor, the green forest moon looked at the Yuuzhan Vong Legacy of Torment, ignoring the fate that awaited. "Does Endor have any local species?" That was Marteh, the priest of Yun-Yammka. "Small Ewoks, unworthy of sacrifice to the Great." Rjiuvan replied. Shedao nodded his agreement. "Instead of slaves, we give to the Gods a planet to be shaped in the manner of the gods. Endor, where thee greatest infidel victory was achieved, will become a tribute to the Yuuzhan VOng." Rjiuvan barked an order to another warrior at the bridge. From the warship a jellylike missile was shot to the surface upon impact a dark stain appeared on the surface, and eventually it began to grow. MEanwhile the warship continued on the orbit. The bugs then reformed on a white dagger shaped object. It was almost of the size of the LEgacy of Torment. "The heresy of techonology," Marteh cried. "Capture the occupants of that craft, and allow me to sacrifice them to the Yuuzhan Vong. Shedao barked another order and the ship moved to engage, coralskippers already leaving the warship. A world for Yun-Yuuzhan, a triumph for Yum-Yammka. This galaxy would crumble. OOC: The vong will engage an ISD, might be the Imps or Rebs. Up to you.
  10. The Rebellion gained on support after the atrocities Palpatine committed, Bail Organa took his chunk of Alderaanians in the Alliance after the Ghorman Massacre, Bel Iblis put his Corellia group teogther after he was almost killed for denouncing Palpy's anti-alien agenda. Order is the basis for all governments, an anarchic government could only work under the stresses of survival. The Rebels attacked that order, they were a rebellion not a revolution, they attacked just to disturb the order, not to create a new governemnt out of it. Tehy did, yes, but it collapsed in less than twenty years. The way the New Order was applied isn't right either, it existed only with the suppression of the many just to keep very few above the level. Humans are susceptible to corruption, very much so. A democracy, is as Evaders said, the rule of the demagogue, the one that has the mob behind him. The Roman Republic worked better, it had its senate but iin times of crisis a dictator( the original term not the totalitarian connotation) ruled. He was to be kept in chack by a fellow dictator) The Weimarer republic had also the Aticle 48 that allowed the President to gain emergency powers in times of crisis, he could also dissolve the senate( Where have I heard this?). Bad thing is that most of the people that wind up in politics are the ones with ambitions to rule, the ones that have a moral knowledge of the power they could wield simply escape from the responsibility of that choices away from politics. So the ones that wind up ruling are the ones that are corrupted and power-hungry. Evaders, you said that the countries want culture, technology and help from the U.S, but most third-world countries do only because they didn't have another choice. Since the discovert of America and the start of european colonialism the countries of Asia, Latinamerica, and Africa have known little independence, first under the control of their europeans masters, and after the independence under the control of the strongest economy, in teh 20th century the U.S. Specially, after WWII there was no order emanating from Europe, Germany wrecked, England liccking its wounds, the French had been scared to hell after the Blitzkriege. The U.S. had a isolationist phase, then it turned outwards and now it was at the peak of its economic expansionism, the Free-Trada Areas and such other alliances only serve to strengthen the powerful countries. I doubt anyone in the u.S will buy latinamerican goods, which exist in relatively small amounts, while U.S. good fill the latinamerican markets. The culture comes hand in hand with the dollar, Costa Rican TV has started to transmit lots and lots of U.S series, our national feeling is getting lost. Technology isn't produced here locally so that we have to buy it, and it leads us again to the economic invasion. Even if Costa Rica has an INTEL chip fabric they are sent to the u.s and then sent back at a very high price. Some countries take the help of the u.s because its the only way they have to survive, the ALianza por el Progreso, was an initiative to send food to the small children of third-world countries, mother-milk alternatives included. It was gladly accepted, although it was later proved that the food didn't have enough proteins for the brains of small children to grow well. A way to keep kids dumb and prevent an eventual new strength in the area? Or just an inexpensive way to gain a high moral ground? Europeans didn't do anything, but the u.S did do something, whether it was for our good, is redoubtable. The Sojwet did a few ideologic incursions, but the CIA sabotaged their efforts, by provding arms to anti-worker-movemnt guerrillas or paramilitaries. I'm sorry if it sounds like I stand agaisnt the U.S., it isn't meant to. I just describe the situation as it is lived here and Latinamerica in general. I've nothing against the u.s, nor the Europeans, but I'd rather have Latinamerica isolate itself for a while, while it works to repair itself after being robbed by so many different countries (Part of the english treasure (gold) comes from stolen spanish gold that costed the lives of so many native americans (aztecs, maya, incas, etc.)). Latinamerican countries hail different hereos as liberators, my ho`pe is that eventually they will find someone to hail as the Unifier...
  11. Yeah, Luke's probably the driver of the little golf cart. I can drive anything. Skywalker & Sons, Golf Club. Visit us. Corellian Run, 4.5 parsecs down from Duro. Imperials and Rebels welcome. Yuuzhan Vong without amphistaffs. Sith Lords are VIP.
  12. Weird that the post is twice. I agree with Elvis on the Thrawn novels, partly I guess it's because there was always left some little tid-bit that needed an explanation. now I wonder about Thrawn's defeat, but bofore of that I used to wonder a lot about the beckon call luke found on the dagobah, and look it was solved in the hand of thrawn books. In survivor's quest we'll porbably learn more about the clone wars, and probably more thrawn, c'baoth, wayland, spaarti, jorg car'das and hopefully the civilization he destroyed. and there is always the hijarna issue... and how that damn hard black stone wound up on Nirauan. Thrawn with an SSD, I guess he would have thought that the rebels thought it would be the spearhead of his operation, so they would have wound up chasing it all over space, and no matter what wedgie's boys did with it, it wouldn't have mattered to the overall scheme. Perhaps he would have sent it to the unknown regions.
  13. Stop shaking, Jahled. The answer it's easy. Use rubber gloves to avoid shocking yourself when starting the computer. No, that wasn't your question. You have to use Resource Hacker, and open the strategy.dll, in the bitmaps folder go to the entries 902 and 903. Yo u might wanto copy the existing dll, and open it in photohop or paint shop pro to keep the size. As for the images, i used pics form the nasa page too and had no problem scaling them down and making them for 256 colors. The actual imafge you may use as first slot which is when the GID is off, the picture that is to be used when the GID is on, you may blur a little. To replace them in the DLL simply right click on the resource you want to replace. Then select the file which you want to have have, then fill the other slots. In RebEd You used to be able to do it with one of the different versions from the DLLEntries.txt. I'll look for it, and I could mail it to you, if you can't do it the other way.
  14. Rjiuvan Shai stood next to his brother on the bridge of the Legacy of Torment. For hundred of years, had the Yuuzhan VOng traveled in teh void. At last his generation would be the first to see the gift of the Gods. A galaxy for them to conquer and colonize. The dream of a New Yuuzhan'tar would soon become a reality. Rjiuvan barked a laughter as the vessel deccelerated, and the first stars of a new galaxy became clear to the Yuuzhan VOng. Bugs from various glow intensities accomodated themselves to match the star pattern of this new sector of space. The commander Sheado Shai touched a villip to communicate with their advance agent, a Yuuzhan Vong that was sent before the fleet, he was supposed to gather information on the residents of the galaxy. Thanks to him the Yuuzhan VOng, knew which way to enter the galaxy. In a corner where three powers collided. A Republic, an Empire something called Ssi-Ruuk. There were oppposition was the weakest. This glaaxy would fall, to the Yuuzhan VOng. "Glory to Yum-Yammka." All the Yuuzhan Vong called in unison as the bugs recreated a planet few lightyears away from here. OOC: Guess who's here? It's the Vong, apparently our Jedi masters didn't know that they were coming so soon. Vonduun crab armor isn't that uncomfortable. My yammosk brains works pretty good. I made them come from Bakura, not Tatooine. That means that the REbel isn't in the best position to defend their allies, nor are the imps. The Ssi-Ruuk are probably already dead at the hand of the Chiss. And since the imp don't know that the VOng are there, they can't conjure up the chiss. Well, maybe my miniyammosk brain, wasn't working that good.
  15. Costa Rica was once known for provide the best quality cacao of the world. Yummmmmmmmm... There's still some around, only that we don't export it anymore. Since we will eventually wind up having alternate personalities. I think I would become a Vong already, I won't stop being Iulan, though. Rjiuvan Shai Warrior Legacy of Torment
  16. I just remembered that Veers was still around, not in his best shape, but he was still around for the Thrawn era.
  17. Vortezx, she did help the planet but she didn't actually provide the Rebels with anything... A pre-JK would do, but we could give him force abilities, yet to be fully trained by luke. Gaeriel Captison... TRejiuvanat scrolls and looks at his list, he thought he had included her. Oops I thought she was in the list, sorry. Don't know about Thanas, though. He would only work as a command char. Rogriss that would be an interesting char. He would be much like Pellaeon though, high lead, and diplo, but it would be fun to have him along. If we had pictures of those minor guys, the warlords, krennel, the guy from the Pentastar allignement, we would have an easier time for the imp list... Turr Phenir? I don't know, perhaps Maarek Stele, instead, (He was a TIE pilot, and a Hand).
  18. Yep, I, Jedi. It's funny him almost outwitting the first Lord of the Sith. "I checked New Republic Law. Property claimst are abandoned well shy of four millenia. As a result, I've filled a claim for this place, and now it's mine. I'd love to have you stick arouns, but your statue is right where the wife will want the entertainment center. You understand, don't you?
  19. Ah, It should be up to Remnant, not Destiny's way. I think it should start off with ROTJ not ANH, the Galactic Civil WAr did render some ships almost obselete... The Dreadnaught, Thrawn hunted the Katana Fleet, because he needed cap ships badly, the Dreadnaught weren-t that bad and they had the advantage of being almost wholly automatized, not too metion the fleet was composed of 200 ships. The Medium Transport too, was already obsolete, Leia herself stated that the ships used by the Rebellion were almost relics from the Clone Wars. One years or so after Endor, the Imps developed better fighter, they also inverted in bigger capital ship hulls. The Rebels as they gained more supported gained more means to produce better ships, five years after Endor, they had a relatively modern fleet. Assault Frigates and all...
  20. Villians, each new book has portrayed new villian i, I had wondered which of them had the strongest and more lasting impression on each of us. I personally vote Thrawn he was the only one who actually managed to put the Rep on its knees, while following another secret agenda at the time. The way he was portrayed was also very nice, ever seen from another perspective added mystery to him. I`m still wondering about Heir to the Empire page 175, his only failure out at the Fringes, the civ he wound up destroying....

  22. Yes, its pretty hard dealing iwth that. YOu might want to check the unofficial NJO page, they used to keep an essential guide on the vong, and a bestiary. I don-t know if it-s still beign updated. Anyway here is the link. http://unjoh.com
  23. Follow-up on the story, enjoy it: “I’m sorry, Reliqy.” Corran heard himself say, but somehow words were missing. Words like, I failed your father. The young Caamasi female nodded understandingly. “No, Corran, you were always so strong. My father spoke vastly about you. You speak as if you blame yourself for his death, something that happened too long ago. This war has made the people mature faster, to understand better the actions of martyrs, because all of us are martyrs. All of us are sacrificing something, I sacrificed unwillingly my father. You are now separated from your family, as is General Antilles. Many lost their home. I lost my father two years ago, but even then I knew about you and that you would commit yourself to honor the memory of my father.” Corran wanted to speak but his mind was locked on the words that her young mouth had spoken. She continued, “My father shared with me some Memnii. Although Memnii are not supposed to last over two generation my father managed to give me the memory of the death of your grandfather. I saw then how my great-uncle dealt with the death of a good friend. Too, my father shared with me the memory of your first meeting on Kerilt, and some other moments on Khuiumin. He held you in high regard, as a Jedi and as a friend. I learnt a while ago about your actions at Ithor, I had wanted to speak with you, for it seemed as if you were troubled about Elegos’s death, and I too would dishonor his memory if I let you slide to the dark side.” Corran looked at the floor realizing for the first time the effects of his actions and Elegos’s death from another perspective. His heart ached with the pain and preoccupation that he had caused others, he felt like he had not felt himself years ago. Truly ashamed. He heard Wedge apologizing and leaving. Something of other duties was all that got through his mind. “Reliqy. I don’t know what to say, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for you. For all the preoccupation I caused you, I admit I did things that still keep me awake at night. Figuring out the whys. Most of them are related to your father’s death. Years ago it was your father who helped me find myself. After his death I felt I lost part of myself, and I turned reckless and, well, I challenged Shedao Shai in the name of your father. I allowed myself to be guiding by taunts and my own feral instincts. I wanted blood. And blood I got, the blood of Ithor. Sorry.” He extended his hand. Then he hugged Reliqy. For a long minute he held her. Thorugh the Force he sensed her emotions now cleared, focused. At the same time, though the death of her father immersing her in endurable pain. “The ghost of my father may rest in peace now.” Reliqy said. Corran wanted to speak more with her but he through a look at the chrono in the wall and remembered his duties as a member of Rogue Squadron. “Reliqy I’ve to go. There are duties I must attend, I will speak with you tomorrow.” Reliqy nodded. “Tomorrow then.” She allowed herself a smile, as did Corran in return. Corran turned waved her bye and vanished in the maze of corridors of the Mon Mothma. Corran lay on his bed in his shared quarters. Despite his rank he had to share quarters with another pilot. At first Corran had joked about having to be with a kid that would ask him to tell fairy tales about the time pilots battled things such as TIEs, Imperial Star Destroyers, and the occasional world destroying weapon. Instead Corran shared quarters with a younger pilot that wanted to remember with him about the time when they battled such opponents. In the far side of the big room Colonel Gavin Darklighter slept placidly. He was dreaming he was sure of that. But it was something surreal like a memory of a past life. Once he had known that Jedi rarely dream so when he found himself on a bright, arid world and with his lightsaber in his hand, he had to wonder how he got there. Oh no this sounds too much like that dream. He was wearing his emerald Jedi tunic, something he had not worn for a long time. Even so he did not feel out of place. Nor did the Caamasi and the human, each of them on one side. Oh no, I having that nightmare of my grandfather’s death again. It wasn’t until then that Corran realized that he wasn’t his grandfather. Instead he was himself. He looked again on each side. On his left stood with a purple tunic Reliqy A’Kla. She held a blaster in her hand, something that struck him as odd considering the vows for pacifism. On his right was the young female he came to know as Red. Although no longer as young as in those years she still possessed the redbladed lightsaber. Her face was no longer concealed by the cortosis ore mask, instead her calm look watched silently at her opponents. The arena they were in was occupied by boxes and some sheds. Corran had too look around to familiarize himself with the surrounding. The most interesting thing, though was exactly ahead of them. Yuuzhan Vong. In his dream and in the Memnii Elegos shared with him Nejaa Halcyon had faced Sith apprentices, and Jedi trainees perverted by Sith teachings. Now Corran had to face beings that were utterly devoid of the Force. Their tallest warrior stepped forward and spoke, “Surrender now. The Warmaster appreciates courage, he may grant you a honorable death if you lay your weapons down like warriors worthy enough for a sacrifice for Yun-Yuuzhan.” “All truths from the Vong are lies, like their gods.” Red spat at the warrior. The warrior let an inhuman growl out. Still Corran felt no fear. “Wisdom comes from the gods. You reject the Truth, because you reject the gods. You reject life.” Reliqy made one shy step ahead. “Wisdom comes from life. Not from the worship of gods.” The warrior looked at the Caamasi. “Then you are un-wise, for you mock life with your technology,” he barked a laughter, that rang in Corran’s ears. That’s the top second worst sound I ever heard, second only to Exar Kun’s laughter. Knowing Kun as he did, Corran knew what to say. “You accuse us of mocking life with our technology, but I say that you mock life. You claim we know nothing of life, but it is because we learnt to let life flow unaltered, or altered at a minimum. Life is what molds us. You instead mold life in a vague imitation of your gods. It is you and your species that continue to feed the lie of life as a tool to be altered instead of a force that binds everything.” Corran finished his tone of voice turning defiant and putting as much emphasis as possible to sting the Vong with his words. He succeeded. The warrior let out a frenzy warcry before launching himself ahead his trio of warriors. Corran knew he had to act, he was a Jedi, his duty was to defend and protect. Therefore he ignited his silver blade and blocked the amphistaff of the Yuuzhan Vong warrior. While the alien was a lot taller than he was, at least half a meter, but he was not as quick and agile as Corran. Instead of blocking with the lightsaber Corran evaded his slashes by sliding away. He had hoped to get the Vong angrier and perhaps distract one of the other warriors. Through the Force Corran felt Red come up with strategies to defeat the warrior. He felt her strain and her anger at those who dared to invade her world for she was the Saarai-kaar. As well he felt the effect that Reliqy left in the Force. He had observed earlier that she had a blaster in the hand, but he was wrong. It was no blaster but a weapon that would make a stormtrooper rifle pale against it. The tall warrior against took his amphistaff and prepared to attack Corran with it. In the last second though, the warrior turned his body one-eighty-degrees. And threw his amphistaff at Reliqy. Corran threw his lightsaber away and extended his hands helplessly at her. He hated himself for his lack of telekinetic powers, while he could not take the amphistaff he could gather the air around Reliqy and create an invisible wall, or he could move any object in the path of the amphistaff. The amphistaff flew on, everything turned slower. His thoughts raced. He heard himself let out a desperate cry. Reliqy reacted, her head turned to the path of the amphistaff, her face wearing the Caamasi look of submission. The amphistaff hit her in the chest. The tall warrior barked a laugh, as cruel and lifeless as their presence in the Force. Once Luke Skywalker said that the power of anger might enable his telekinesis. He felt the surge of anger flow thorugh him. He extended his right hand at the warrior. He drew the air away from him. He stopped the air in his lungs until it began to freeze. Then at last Corran let out with his left a storm of blue lightning. Everything then began to burn with blue fire, the Vong, Red, Reliqy’s body, the arena. He thought he saw the ghost of his father murmuring words of disapproval and disappointment. The inferno grew beyond his horizon everything left behind turned into ashes and dust. Smoking debris and destroyed bodies were left behind. Corran felt despair, he had actually let himself to the dark side. He knew not what to do, alone isolated by a bubble of Force power Corran contemplated the waste around him. The last thing he saw was the face of Exar Kun nodding at him. His eyes burned red and grew with more intensity until all became white. He felt a hand on his shoulder, yelling at him. “Corran!” Corran blinked stupidly until the shape of Gavin Darklighter materialized above him. He was still lying on his bed in the Mon Mothma, lightyears away from Susefsvi, and his nightmare of Yuuzhan Vong and Exar Kun. He breathed heavily, and Gavin sat at the feet of his bed, Corran reincorporated and sat next to him. “I had a nightmare,” Corran said. Gavin snorted, “I realized that.” Gavin turned his face to him. “What was it about?” Corran passed his hand on his hair. “I, well, I was on Susefsvi. You remember Susefsvi? Yes, good. Anyway I was there, with Reliqy and one native to the planet and we were attacked by Vong. Not a fleet but a group of four warriors. I kinda got crazy and destroyed everything with Force lightning.” Gavin shivered, imagining his friend destroying everything in a frenzy of hatred. “But it was only a bad dream. Right?” Corran let his head down. Strand of hair fell down on his face. “I don’t know. It might have been a vision, but again the future is morphable. I may or may not get crazy if circumstances differ.” Gavin nodded gravely. “Corran look at yourself, the last time I heard that tone of voice and attitude was back then when I was a young pilot looking at the great galaxy with the eyes of a farmboy. Corran you are a man reaching middle age. You are past that talking, look at me. I’m scolding you as if you were a child. You are a Jedi, Corran and most important of all is that you are my friend, I trust you. I trust you to take the right path when that dark side speaks with you, again. Luke told me about your battle with Exar Kun. You have defeated it, I’m sure that neither Kun nor the Vong will make you take that path.” Corran looked at Gavin and felt some of the dismay disappear. He even managed a faint smile. “Colonel, I-” “Request granted.” Gavin interrupted. “I understand you will need a vehicle for your journey to Susefsvi, I will grant you leave for an indefinite time. Will that do, Colonel?” Corran scratched his chin. “Well you might restore Coruscant and stop the alien threat in the mean time. Oh, and perhaps rebuild Alderaan, and bring Anakin Solo back.” Gavin smiled. “I’ll do what I can.” “Thanks.”
  24. The site's more likely to be gone for good. Too bad it was pretty useful. Sorry, I should have checked first if the link worked. You can search for the summaries in google.com or you can see if the reviews of theforce.net do help you. They are review not summaries...
  25. Iulan reassessed the knowledge he just acquired... He had thought that he knew what the war was about, instead there he was now learning of another factor in the ruthless war. SWarriors, a race of warrrior, to be precisie, violent and unrestrainable. The Empire commited brutalities to fortify its philosophy of ruling by fear or force. Now a race that considered violence its lifestyle. Iulan said nothing and looked at an empty point in space. After few heartbeats, he turned to Elvis. "From where will this Yuuzhan Vong eb coming?" "From beyond Bakura?" Elvis answered "They will be probably taking advantage of out scarce deployment of fleets there. With the Ssi-Ruuk almost destroyed, no one considered that region a priority in the war agaisnt the Empire." Wedge offered. Luke too, drew nearer. "Our war agisnt Thrawn is fought in the mid Rim, in the SLice. Our main fleet is dispersed along the main trade routes trying to prevent the Imps from shutting intersteallar trade down. This fleet was currenlty the only one attacking Imperial space, Yaga Minor and Satirnaynia is too far from everywhere to prove of military value, the task force was parted in three. One remained near Yaga minor to make sure the Imps don't get cocky. Your is here on Tatooine, we deem it a safe place, while we find a way to devote more resources to repel the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the last one wass upposed to join you, but today it was slaughtered by Thrawn." Iulan nodded. "How strong are those VOng?" Iulan asked fearing whatever answering was to be given. "Too strong, if the galaxy were unprepared half the galaxy would fall within a year, Coruscant thre or four months later." Brandad said. "Anyway, I want to teach you how to touch the Force. In my times a twelve Jedi, and twelve fighters were enough to drive any enemy home. Let's hope that fourty-eight fighter and twelve Jedi manage to pull the trick." "Yes, sir." Iulan smiled, the man sounded so confident of victory, but without arrogance. It was again the feeling of age that showed in the body of the Jedi. "Does our squadron have a name?" Iulan asked. "Immortal Squadron." Luke said. "Welcome to it, Immortal Five." Brandad nodded. Iulan looked at Elvis. "Transfer granted, I guess I'll have to find a way to tell Zag and your squadmates that you won't be flying iwth them any longer." Elvis shrugged. "This meeting is dismissed." Luke said. "Iulan has learnt of too much in too short notice. You need to go to rest. Brandad, I still wish to discuss some things with you, the rest of you find something useful to do." "Now, if we only had a cantina built-in in this sector of the ship," one of the Jedi lamented. "We might not have it," Wedge said with a growing smug tone in his voice. "But I know of a certain general that does have some bottles of Whyren's around." "Oh such a forbidden pleasure, it had been decades since I tasted that." Another Jedi added. "WE are on duty, gents." Elvis said. "I do want to discuss other thign with you. Admiral Ackbar will have my head as a decoration for his aquarium if we don't prepare a report on VOng tactics. After that we can have the Whyren's". Luke and Grandad left first, and Wedge, Elvis and the Jedi remained in the room, the holoprjector now humming into life, they started to consider waht move could an invader follow once arriving in the galaxy. The JEdi already knowing something of their tactics began to color purple dots corewards." Iulan found that more interesting than sleep, and he would have remained, had Elvis not ordered him to go to his room at once. He left thorugh the corridors we walked earlier and found himself ever caressing the smooth form of the lightsaber. OOC: Oooooooooooooooh!!!! Way to go, Elvis. That was some unexpected plot development. Now that hadn't even crosse my mind.
