OK, if you're Major, you're as good as a squadron leader. So, I guess that means you can have your own starfighter squadron (and of course your own soldier squadron..)

Not Kyp's Dozen, because you're not a Jedi, and not Wraiths.. but something similar to what the Wraiths do, under a different name... sure.

How about Shadow Squadron, i don't think that name has been used before.
