I found this in another forum and thought that it was pretty awesome. One person makes a wish, then the next person grants it, but in such a way that it isn't really fulfilled. For example, I might write: I wish for a tiger. The next person could say, "Granted, but it's dead," and then make their own wish. The "dead" part is rather lame, and not nearly as creative as it could be. So, let's give this a shot, eh? I wish for Reloaded to be released to the public on the first of July instead of the fourth!

It's always nice to see our members swelling. Has it really been ten years? I thought it was released in '96, but according to the Wikipedia entry it was released in '98.

Ironically enough, I was coming on to remedy that line about Inferno when I found I was too late- I'd put it off too much! I suppose that tells you how much of a geek I am. These kids are a rage of hormones at 13 and 14- there's no way at all that they won't want to be touching as much as possible. The rule can't be enforced, and quite frankly, it's retarded. If someone trips and you give them a helping hand up, is that breaking the rule? What if they just stumbled and you ensure that they don't fall? This is going way too far. (AKA Cool Chris) Open with a view of the car speeding by on a stretch of road, or a series of these shots to make it clear which car is important. Background noise: a radio being tuned. My money says that the guy made it up- Rowling keeps way too tight a lock on the info (She cancelled publishing deals with one group because they weren't shredding their pages into small enough pieces!) for any info that she didn't want released to have leaked out. Now, then, speculation time (If you aren't up to book six, look away!) I think R.A.B. might be more than one person. Currently the only real candidate for that position is Regulus Black, and nothing is known about him except that Sirius thought him to be a twit. Now, then, if R.A.B. is three people each supplying only one initial and working together to explain the "I" we've expanded how many people it can be by quite a bit. One last thing: Anybody think we'll have new animangi among the main characters? Maybe?

Thirty days until the new Harry Potter book is released! Deathly Hallows is looking as though it's going to be quite good, what with how its predecessors were all quite fun and entertaining. At the time of posting (June 21) there are thirty days until the release of the final Harry Potter book. Anyone who wants to voice their theories about where the series will go can feel free to. If you haven't read the first six books, I advise that 1) You do so and 2) You don't read this thread, seeing as it will probably ruin them for you. You have been warned.

There's supposed to be a value that you can crank up to increase the liklihood of that unit being chosen, though I forget entirely what it is and where it is. Back when Xan was still around he mentioned it, saying that it increased the liklihood of certain ships to be produced. It was something like ship value in the naval area, and I imagine that there's a similar option for ground troops.

It actually works just as well to use characters not terribly suited for the mission as decoys- such as those characters who are just about average in all respects, or who were only good for R&D. I've noticed that a lot of the novels in Star Wars have some basis in Rebellion, and so tried out the Zahn approach of using Wedge as a decoy when he would be a terribly obvious backup agent- it works fine. But no, I've no clue as to the exact formula, though I usually use three decoys for one worker, four for two, and almost always the store-bought brand.

Yeah, I meant this year... Actually, my gf and I want to up the ante this year. We want to blow away Jay and Silent Bob from last year with Mario and Princess Toadstool this year. I keep telling her it will be tough to find a dress like that but she wont listen... Hehe- I'm gonna try to one up you. For Halloween I'm going to get one of my friends with me and see if I can't find matching black jackets and ties to go as the Blues Brothers. I'm almost two meters tall, now (Yes, I actually measured myself in metric- something around 1.9, but "almost two meters tall" makes me sound way bigger somehow), so I'll have to be Elwood. Good thing he was always my favorite Blues Brother. Now I just need to learn to play the harmonica....
