  1. Worthless is perhaps the wrong word, irritating does it for me.
  2. Nice try man. Hmm, well we need to contact someone who has more authority in these matters. We could go straight to the top: Fomr the Lucas Arts site ATSUKO MATSUMOTO Senior Director Production Services LucasArts, A Lucasfilm Ltd. company If we could contact him we might get further... Although the game was developed by 'Coolhand Interactive', these appear to have gone out of business after producing only Rebellion. We could try and look for information down that sort of line of inquiry with LucasArts.
  3. Lol, great. Although order 69 was perhaps a step too far... NOnetheless ready for the next installment!
  4. I'm not too bothered if Jar Jar makes a tiny cameo, its just extended dialogue, particularly between him and the Child-anakin that irritates me personally.
  5. Remember to put every file you need to transfer in one CD if you are using non-rewritables as you don't want to use more than one. You may as well download all you can fit onto the CD (from SWR) to be honest, you never know when it ight be useful.
  6. Yeah, I did notice a bombardment value for fighters in Rebed, although TIEs, TIE interceptors and A-wings have a vlues of 0 and therefore I assume would not affect bombardment.
  7. Yeah, the books do help explain it. But I was introduced through the BBC audio tapes (yeah that was a few years ago, tapes!) and I got the picture very fast. Movies do generally leave out some of the story when transferred from another source, so that could explain why it was a little hard to get.

  9. It would be increible if it could be pulled off. Of course it might delay Rebellion Reloaded a bit whilst more modding is put into the project!

  11. Ah Tex, the age old philisophical question that haunts the gamer. "Does the AI cheat?". It is similar to the "If a tree falls in the forest woth no one to hear it, does it still make a sound?" question. Trust in the force you must!
  12. EaW being modable will severly expand its life. I had read on one of the external forums moderated by Cain that the Xml it was being coded with was editable in notepad which would help the average person to fiddle with the game values. It may also be a good omen for the possible release of the Rebellion source code, with EaW being more mod friendly there will be little need to so fiercly protect Rebellion. Then again maybe not, but we can hope.
  13. Hmm, you would have to allow for 3d movement, across all three axes... It would be cool but maybe we should just suffice at present with Stellar's new 'Starfighter Simulation' plan and 'Rebellion Reloaded'.

Question for Mad/Mask: I've basically got both Blender and Gmax now, which would it be better to focus on, based on beginner status, usefulness from the persepctive of Rebellion and the compatability (ease of transfer, i.e. not having to relearn it all) with a possible later move to 3dsmax if I decide to invest in it?
  16. Wow, fame! I don't have HW2 and so generally don't comment on the mod but congrats for everyone involved.
  17. The main reason I don;t play SWG is the monthly fee. I just don't think that you should have to pay for a game and then pay by the nose to keep the game working. Plus it doesn't really fit into my sort of style, I play my games when I want to and like to be able to come and go. Obviously if you are paying per month you are complelled to play for that period of time. I like the concept a lot and it sounds kinda cool but I will not pay the monthly fee.

  20. Pirates was great! I remember that... You never did that? I used to have huge fleets mostly of frigates, i'd take the galleons by moving to their rears and raking them until capitulated, then sold them at the nearest friendly port! It is perhaps wishful thinking though.
  21. Was that with just one min and one refinery? That seems to be the only way to test the hypothesis. Yes,but if you have a good mine to refiniery ratio this shouldn't matter. Everything seems to depend in having the optimum ratio, which will theoretically produce the maximum refined and matinence points.
  22. Snatch? I've heard of it from my friends but never seen it, its supposed to be really good. then again I've so much of the dialogue that I can probably recite it off by heart.
  23. I've just had toated french bread with lots of Marmite on top and a class of chocolate milk, plus the mandatory fruit juice, nice and cold.
  24. Have you made any progress with this? I used to like IG2 quite a bit. My only problem was the way that if your fleet was too big one model would represent several ships. HOw would you handle the customisation system for ships?
  25. Ah, a cunning ploy. With mine I just took my nick and made it sound 'gutteral' as it said on the character creation screen. Really? Hmm, time to see how good her colouring in is... Moral support is good!
