  1. I hate you. and I will top that!
  2. I suggested the Bulwark earlier... -Sigh- I guess a suggestion just isn't a suggestion until a webmaster says it. I feel so insignificant. -bawls-
  3. Want the cheat strategy? 1 SSD, 1 SD2, 1 VSD2, 3 Strike Cruisers, loaded with tie-d's. Alternatively, 1 Bulwark, 1 Dauntless, 1 Liberator, 3 Assault Frigates, X-wings on each. When the enemy fleet blockades a planet, you save the game, and wait to see which planet it goes to next. Then you load the game and move your fleet there before the enemy fleet does. Just a cheat strategy but you wanted more.
  4. Yeah I agree with Evaders. I usually have 25 planets or so with 10+ Shipyards on it pumping out Star Destroyers daily. Lots of fun.
  5. I uhh don't understand the question
  6. Take a look at the "Biggest Fleet" thread I made, read my fleet and then see if that answers your question.
  7. If you use RebED you can lower the construction costs and it will build faster.
  8. DAMNIT I wish the AI would do that for me. I would just build like 5000 X-wings and 5000 y-wings and 5000 a-wings and 5000 b-wings and have a fun ole' battle. My AI always ends up with like 5 Star destroyers, spread out and SOMETIMES when I put the game on fast mode and don't do anything for a thousand days (To give the AI a headstart) they manage an SSD...
  9. No I usually just get like 4 ship researchers, and send them on a mission together, if one is a traitor the mission will be failed. Then I send each one to research at a different planet in the same sector. Then the mission will be failed of the one researcher, but I can keep sending him on the mission, which contributes to the research gained. That way the traitors are working for me.
  10. Want to know a way that will pose a challenge and take time? Send a small fleet to one of your systems, and bombard yourself. General or civilian bombardment. Then the planets will go to the empire. Then you send Han Solo or Chewbacca on missions to sabotage the stuff there, thus increasing their combat ratings and then you can send them to Coruscant and because they aren't force users the emporer won't detect them.
  11. group benefits are the same as with diplomacy. Your research goes faster, at least I expect as much. Although if one of the researchers is a traitor then the mission will be failed repeatedly and that bugs like all hell.
  12. Also, the death star is great for planetery bombardments when you are trying to get rid of shields. Instead of blowing the planet up simply render it defenseless. Plus didn't you pay attention to Grand Moff Tarkin in ANH? Fear will keep the local systems in order.
  13. I don't quite remember, but I think that if you don't research you get the Super Star Destroyer or the Bulwark on Day 2000, or 1000 one of the two...
  14. I was writing a post under the newbie board and thought of this thread. So how big was your biggest fleet? I remember my biggest fleet because I had a game going for 5000 days or so. I don't remember specifics but heres a rough view. 150+ Corvettes 200+ Corellian Gunships 100+ Dreadnaughts 200+ Bulk Cruisers 100+ Medium Transports 100+ Alliance Fighter Carriers (All stocked full with B-Wings) 50+ Bulwarks 50+ Dauntless Cruisers 100+ Liberator Cruisers 1 CCSS(Whatever) frigate 20+ Assault Frigates 50+ Bulk Transports (All Stocked with Wookies) Yeah thats about it. I had to scrap all of my shipyards, shields, LNR's, construction depots, and training facilities to manage it all. And I had no defenses on any of my planets, they were all part of the fleet. I remember I engaged the empire and they had like 2 stardestroyers in the end... It sucked. Imagine the AI with a fleet of equal size, that would have been a cool battle.
  15. Use the rebel's version of the SSD, the Bulwark. That settles assault disputes rather quickly. That or a shit load corvettes... Which made me realize something...
  16. Well I disagree with Nero! You don't take out the interdictor first, if your fleet gets its ass kicked then it is well deserved! Have you not ever heard the phrase by Stephen King? Control what you can maggots, everything else can have a flying fuck at you, and if you go down, go down with your guns blazing! Yeah go down with your guns blazing XD. Naw I'm just kidding around.
  17. I was playing the computer one time as the empire maximum difficulty, and the rebels had Yago Minor Ghorman in the Sesswenna sector. About 150 days in I had Corfai and the other planets, when all of a sudden a natural disaster occurs on Corfai, destroying the 4 mines, 6 refineries, the orbital shipyards I had there and so on. So then about 15 days later the rebels invade corfai, I lose all of the sesswenna sector, and Palpatine gets captured on Sviveren(sp). Then because I lose so many resources the AI scraps my Star destroyer at Coruscant, and half of the fighters there. I still won mind you, but it kind of pissed me off... Fucking natural disasters.
  18. Yeah the Chewbacca defense is my favorite... "This is Chewbacca, and Chewbacca lives on the planet Kashyyyk... Now that does not make sense. And if that does not make sense then you must acquit."
  19. Wow I just realized people were posting on this thread... So how does a thread about raiding ships turn into one about Mandalorians and Darth Bane?
  20. Yeah good question. I don't get it either.
  21. I was really looking forward to some Victory Destroyers bombarding Naboo and seeing Jar Jar die... Guess I'll have to settle for that picture, which is very pleasing to the eyes.
  22. I have to agree with Trej now. After seeing the movie I think the force lightning makes more sense, but I still like the idea of dark side consumption.
  23. XD My backpack has jets, my name is boba fett... Thats awesome
  24. Picture this you start off, lots of fun scenery and nifty looking graphics, all is blissful and all is well... -Fourteen Hours later- Congratulations you have gotten your first experience box in Pistols, only 28 hours to the second box yippie! -Fifty Hours later- Congratulations you have mastered the 4 initial pistols boxes, now for the eighteen advanced ones. -Six hours later- Congratulations you have bought a speeder, now all you need to do is play for 100 more hours to pay for maintenance on it for a whole 30 minutes worth of use... -10 Minutes later- ... CD has a bad run in with a hammer, and for the life of me window's can't find the files for it... hmmm Thats basically what happened when I played it. I got to like pistoleer 3-1-1-4 and then like Commando 1-1-3-1 and then I realized I was tired of finding a nice spawn location, making a macro and then going to sleep to get my experience... The game is AWFUL terrible, you could easily say that the game is what created the headache, avoid the game if possible. If you are going for an RP try... crap whats it called Guild Wars or something... I can't remember the name, but it is supposed to be some revolutionary game in Rping. That or get PlanetSide I enjoyed that one.
  25. That doesn't explain what you guys are going to do about the "Star Wars" in the name... Won't Lucas Arts blow a head gaskit over it if they find out?
