  1. the battlestations program works, it just works too well! It cuts off rotation, sub-light movement and hyperdrive. I want to allow it to rotate.
  2. Given that 2 Jedi were running like sissies from like 2 Destroyers, Obi-Wan was captured by one and they have personal shield generators, I tend to think that any one droideka is greater than any one clone, intelligence or not. It makes you wonder why a standard stormtrooper unit doesn't include Droidekas that pop up the shields and fire away while the troopers stand behind them, sniping at enemies from behind the shields
  3. I don't see the background for the Rebs in strategy.dll. Any ideas where it could be?
  4. I want to make a stationary ship, but I want it to be able to rotate on its axis. This ship will have 3,000 turbolasers in front and a 200 recharge time, but only a 35 range. I want it to be able to rotate in battle, but not move or go into hyperspace. How can I go about doing this?
  5. 'fraid not. She's from West Virginia with a red and white uniform
  6. Plus, droidekas are far more powerful than a clone trooper. You'd think that they'd keep them around.
  7. thanks. I love MSpaint
  8. 80 2-front battles in EaW is far better than 200 images with one battlefront in rebellion. Now its just unreasonable to use the number of planets in Rebellion to say its better than EaW. On the same note though, I think Rebellion will be more fun to play in quick settings. I really like giving missions to the characters and you can't do that in EaW. Or name ships. Cain, please lobby to let us name ships....
  9. gratz. My sister is a band geek too, and she just finished up the season.
  10. nice. How big is it compared to, say, an ISD?
  11. If you want to tinker with this idea, there are several 3d game makers that you could use to work on it
  12. If you're a MGS/Splinter Cell/whatever fan, this would probably be a dream come true. As a solid RPG/SRPG fan, I can't say that I'd find it appealing. However, given what you described, I'd say that it would be a very successful game if it were made
  13. I want to completely replace the rebel symbol with the logo for the Pangalactic Federation. How do I change the picture that Rebed loads onto the bitmap for the character backgrounds? Thanks
  14. If you're just starting out, don't try to fight the Star Destroyers (ISDs) with your ships. Instead send people like Han Solo and Chewbacca on sabotage missions to get rid of them. The corvettes are really only useful for defeating starfighters. When you first get Mon Calamari Cruisers, you have a chance at beating the ISD. Load it with X-wings and you should be able to win. If you're assaulting planets, stop and use diplmacy instead. The AI doesn't move fast enough to outrace you on easy. Piett, Jerjerrod, Bin Essada, and Vader are excellent diplomats. While you get the hang of tactical combat, go ahead and use the "uber fleet" strategy. Put all of your ships in one fleet and take Coruscant on a HQ only victory. Once you get the hang of that, try several smaller fleets. You're still learning. Take it slow and don't be afraid to be cheap
  15. well, its official. I decided to put up and order some. The way I figure it, its not really human so what does it matter? I'll let you know how it tastes
  16. Good question! If you're playing as the Benevolent, saintly Empire, then IMP22 is your man. If you're playing as the evil Terrorist Alliance, then C-3PO is the guy.
  17. Welcome to the forums! I advise you to let your agent handle the building by right clicking him and selecting "Manage Production." That will help you while you figure things out!
  18. I can just see the commercial now. Cannibal son: Mommy, what's for dinner? Cannibal mom: Its Hufu, the human meat alternative! I just pop it in the oven and before you know it, we get the sweet sweet taste of real human meat! ::cannibal son takes a big bite and has a smile on his face:: Yum! It tastes like REAL enemy tribesmen! ::cannibal Dad comes home, dragging a corpse:: Honey, I brought home an enemy high priest! We'll eat great tonight! Cannibal mom: Throw it out, honey! We're already eating well--with Hufu!! ::all members of the cannibal family look at the camera and give a thumbs up as the Hufu logo bounces on the screen::
  19. Not without the source code, I'm afraid
  20. Its also a play on the Japanese name for "elder", meaning the name is something akin to "Admiral Toguro the elder"
  21. My girlfriend and I are attending a costume party. If I can find the parts, I'm going as Walnut from Phantom Brave. She's going as the healer class. I figure most of you haven't played these great Ps2 strategy RPGs. If you like grid-based strategy games, I suggest checking them out
  22. They didn't know he was a sith, but he was an enemy. After all, he was convincing planets to leave the alliance that the council was sworn to protect. They considered him more of a Robert E. Lee than an Adolph Hitler. Edit: For Tofu's memory problem: TOGURO ANI TOGURO ANI TOGURO ANI oh screw it. Just call me Ani.
  23. I found a random site called "Genesis3d" which is an open-source gaming engine. It's a 3d gaming engine, and from the screenshots it was used to make 3d adventure games in real time. However, since its open source it could be configured to do whatever you wanted it to, right? Another thing is this modeller, which I think looks really cool http://www.koppfolio.com/3D/iModeller.jpg You take pictures and it transforms it into a 3d model! Now all those star wars toys we have can be used again! ...I'm not the only one with star wars toys, am I? http://www.genesis3d.com/ http://imodeller.com/en/order/?webshop
  24. lol, actually my 20th birthday was on the 15th of October
  25. Granted that Dooku was a "known enemy", but that alone doesn't screw up the plans. Since the clones can take out the regular Jedi and council members, it really comes down to Palpy eliminating Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Windu. I agree that the droid armies might have killed Obi-Wan on Naboo because the power station wouldn't have been destroyed. He couldn't defeat 2 Droidekas, even during AoTC, so he probably would have died. If not, Dooku could assassinate him outright on Geonosis. A Dooku/Grievous combo would destroy Windu, so even without Anakin, it would be possible for Palpy to take control. Anakin may have caused some confusion in the council, but it wasn't crucial to Palpy's plan the way the creation of the Clone Army was.
