  1. It has gotten a bit off track. If it keeps going I'll hijack it and turn it into one of my "Dooku is the strongest SW movie character of all time" arguments
  2. Give me the dewey button. I deserve it.
  3. I was reading comic books
  4. looks like the same game. Sort of like a "Greatest hits" title for Ps2 but without the price cut
  5. If you mean "will they bombard if you have a planetary battery", I think the answer is no. They tend to sabotage it first. As a rule, the AI doesn't do anything that might hurt itself. As for the Death Star, I dont believe that it will destroy a planet. I'm not, however, sure if it will use the superlaser on one of your ships during tactical
  6. You guys work hard. When I decided to do my own TC about this time last year, I thought it would be easy. Boy is it hard! When I look back and see all that I've had to do, replacing models, change a bunch of the interface things (no X-wings and TIEs here, so all those have to go), it wears me out. Then I remembered that while I've been using the models on this site, you all have actually been creating new ones specifically for the game. Your agent is probably animated. You've probably even changed the Rebel logo to the New Republic logo (changing that spinning thing at the opening was SO annoying)! The amount of work that you guys must have put in is incredible. I just wanted to pat you guys on the back and congratulate you for getting as far as you have. Keep up the good work.
  7. Copywrite issues aside, I'd like to see anyone willing to type all that up.
  8. Okay. Looking at my voice files, EMBRIEF is about 30 megs, with Emsprite being 93.4 megs! The average size of a voice file is 1 meg. Any idea of what I can do to compress that down a bit? As for Winrar, I plan on using it once the TC is finished. I'm more concerned about the uncompressed size. 1g is a little too big for this game,
  9. Nice. You forgot the "Firefly class cruiser" used by the, uh, Smuggler's alliance and captained by Malcolm Reynolds, who is an associate of, uh, Han Solo, and appears sometime after the Vong war. Yep. I'm just kidding. I'm actually just anxiously awaiting the Serenity model. In regards to your above models, they're really nice looking. I've been impressed with your work since I saw the Majestic. Very nice model and I'm sure the others will all be the same.
  10. Great job! I can't wait to use the fleet carrier in my game!
  11. This is mostly for the Reloaded team. How large is your project so far? I'm also doing a complete revamp and its currently at 1.05gigs uncompressed, and I still have more voice acting, etc. to go. Is this normal? If not, how can I compress things down? I'm using bitmap files, and sounds recorded in Windows Sound Recorder if that helps.
  12. Under the heroes section I see powers like "sabotage." Are these the missions? Will we get to send Han Solo, for example, to another system to sabotage enemy ships without committing our other forces there? In short, will the mission system be like that of Rebellion?
  13. Looks nice. Looks more like the original strike cruiser picture than the Eidolon Strike Cruiser
  14. yeah. I'd like to see Exar Kun show Darth Maul how to REALLY use a Double Bladed saber
  15. I for one am glad that not all the heroes are Jedi. It adds some flavor to it. Well, not Chewie since he's similar to the Wookiee Warrior, but Leia's invulnerability adds some fun to it, and her sporting blaster is awesome.
  16. Change the music by taking a WAV file and putting it over an existing MDATA file, naming it "MDATA.xxx" instead of "nameofmusictrack.wav." See this post for what MDATA files are what music. http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/postt468.html Edit the character/ship/troop/specforce images with Rebed, available for download on this site under "rebed". Edit the images with Reshacker, which you can download by searching Google for "Reshacker." Using Reshacker, open the strategy.dll file and look under bitmap. You can find and replace the images there. Replace sounds by going into alsprite.dll or emsprite.dll using reshacker and look under WAVE, and you'll find the voices. Hope that helps.
  17. Hello everyone! I want to design a new interface for the Empire to go with my game. However, I'm kind of stuck as to what to do. If any of you are artistic and would like to design an interface for this total conversion, then I'll put your name in the credits if I can use it. Even if you can't, I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what you think a good interface would look like
  18. It should be similar to Rebellion but without some important parts. No giving characters missions, for example. You can't name your ships. Stuff like that. You get ground battles and hero units, though, but you can't get the fun of doing assassination missions
  19. I thought it was closer to bacon than chicken, but if you tried it you might think differently. Anyway, it was kind of disgusting to eat at first, but then we got over it. Not worth the 20 dollars. Just get bacon and pretend its human
  20. I made hufu dumplings from the recipe the site offered. Its sort of like....bacon, I guess.
  21. I'd rather fly into a Star Destroyer from the side than try to get under one and go in that way. Making the hangar on the side was a good choice. I'd rather have an easier time getting my TIE in the ship than worry about canon
  22. What is that ship begind the Star Wars Rebellion logo? Is there a model for it on the site/in development? If not, I might work on it
  23. My objective analysis: The pros of the game: --Jedi class was added due to player demand, but was implemented in such a way as to be balanced. --Classes seem more balanced, the dark trooper is finally fixed from BF1 --The graphics have improved somewhat --The Campaign Mode is fun and engaging --Stamina prevents your character from dodging for long periods of time, adding an element of strategy --Vehicle damage to heavy infantry is fixed. The cons of the game: --No first-person option, and the character can obstruct your vision at times. --AI doesn't use Jedi Heroes --Space was done poorly. The control is awkward and few capital ships are in battle at any given time. --Only 1 AT-AT stage --Recycled maps --Some classes need balance. Clone Commander is overpowered, scout trooper is underpowered. Bothan spy is underpowered. --Too much emphasis on Episode 3. Almost feels like a plug for the DvD release Conclusion: If you've never played Battlefront 1, rent it. If you played and enjoyed BF1, go ahead and get it, you won't be disappointed. If you played BF1 and didn't care for it, go ahead and pass it by; theres not enough new stuff to change your mind.
  24. I think Thrawn is referring more to micromanagement of materials and resources. Since EaW is using a system that avoids resource production, people who like to count numbers may find more of a home in Rebellion than on EaW. Since I get more of a kick out of seeing ships and managing battles/where to fight battles/what to build rather than counting resources, I have my hopes up for this game.
  25. if it automatically turned to the enemy, there'd be no problem. I can turn the sublight to 0 in rebed, but not the hyperdrive. Battlestation cuts off rotation and sublight, too. Right now, if I give up hyperdrive, I have to give up ALL movement
