should we quit working on it? Give the guys so slack.. they are really trying to make a great Rebellion conversion. It won't revolutionize the gameplay or anything, but it is certainly fun and there's still quite a few surprises in there. Patience will be rewarded with a solid beta that everyone can enjoy. Demands to rush it will only make the team mad.

Weird sounds like something is missing in the packages? (As to the Yuuzhan Vong, you'll have to read the New Jedi Order series of books. Most people seem to really like the series or really hate it. I have to admit, I'm a big fan of the series.. not so much for the Vong, but the great writing and characters. Get past the intro - Vector Prime, go straight to the meat in Star by Star. )

Didn't care for Balance Point either. It didn't deserve its status as an NJO hardback. Did it really have a semi-paramount point? I don't even remember any happenings that were important besides Nom Anor mucking around... You know... Lumiya is about as much a spoiler for Legacy as the Yuuzhan Vong are for NJO. You just know its coming

Nice specs. Why 64-bit Vista though? It doesn't gain you anything except using the 4 GB memory.. and you're not likely to even use that much memory.

We read Lord of the Flies... and then watched The Simpsons version. The Simpsons is great if you can get some of the references throughout it.

I just want to say I had the same problem. The new PLANETPACK.Big seems to fix it, so indeed it is requried --- Perhaps someone at Celebration IV can plug Warlords? Do a nice poster page with some screenshots, high-quality inks... Something like a poster for a regular game by LucasArts Maybe it would get some interest hehe. If you happen to run a booth at any convention, putting up a poster to Warlords would be really cool...

Ah is our server issues? Or you mean the server code in general? Did we ever get things working? I thought it did when we moved the CGI scripts around.. but I haven't seen what else you've tried

Eville has said he's not going to worry about balance so much. This isn't a "X unit is countered by Y unit" game. Rather, it is the most amount of units from the SW world, much like Total Annihilation and its mods. So in this way, you won't see each group has a specific counterpart unit in any other group. Not to discourage you. You are free to work on any elements "like in other RTS" games. There have been projects to do it, but that just makes it like any other RTS...

Actually, I've only just played the first 200 days last night. We have worked on several issues that needed to be fixed with the installer. Other bugs come about that we are discussing as well. Patience, it will be out when it is ready

I remember at one point, the idea was raised to do a sorta "community TC" Perhaps this can inspire someone to put all the cards together, with some nice balance and character background -- ala not everyone is a Dark Jedi Lord Starfighter Ace Starship Captain General... Most of the active card editors are working on parts of Reloaded, it would probably have to take someone with more free time to work on it.

Sadly Thrawn has been mostly under Zahn's control. His background has been hinted in a number of short stories, he has a bit with Vader in a Zahn/Stackpole short story but I believe Thrawn's scenes were still all done by Zahn. But Zahn has given a number of characters for other authors to use and really expand the SW universe. Mara Jade, Rogue Squadron, the Solo twins (though they don't feature prominantly until the Jedi Academy books), the name Coruscant of course.. The only character to match Thrawn as an enemy leader in recent books would possibly be Shedao Shai. He was the Yuuzhan Vong commander who tried to learn from Elegos A'Kla. Sadly he didn't get many military victories and only was in two books.

For the YJK series, I've read Jedi Shadow. I haven't seen Jedi Sunrise in my local store.. so I haven't ever gotten it. I like the series, esp since the characters are important for NJO, but I would never buy the books seperately. I'll wait to get my hands on the compilations. I have looked for Turtledove's World War and Colonization series before in my local store, but haven't seen them. The only one I've read is Homeward Bound, and that's more a standalone .. but it is a more recent book. I'll get those series one of these days.
