  1. I've been adding people as requested. Not making a post every time I do it If you're in, you'll see the Beta Testing forum If not, you probably need to confirm your Mantis username Mantis is what we are using for bug tracking, so please register your account here http://warlords.swrebellion.com/mantis/
  2. It should work with 1.05
  3. "SOGE/entity.manifest" is in the mod folder Thanks, but the minidumps are essentially useless for us to debug. They are only readable to the Stardock developers
  4. I'm assuming you're talking about this http://warlords.swrebellion.com/mantis/view.php?id=502 Did you make the change to entity.manifest ?
  5. .60 was basically a rebuild of the mod. It has all the ships and aims for better performance, but it is missing some of the polish like the descriptions. The mod will only go forward from 0.60, so recommend you use that one
  6. I don't know how we're doing NR and YV portraits yet, but if you want to do them... I'll get them in-game
  7. I know Paypal has a credit card option - whether that requires an actual account, I'm not sure. But thanks anyway!
  8. There's a lot that still needs work, as you've noticed. Feel free to go and change them. I know Eville's been super busy and is looking for more help
  9. Eville has a pretty complicated spreadsheet. I'm sure its derived from what is known in canon and others extrapolated based on where ships should follow from other ships.
  10. Early April Fools? Man, that is impressive if it's not a fool
  11. TOR's new class: Sarlacc Enforcer
  12. And it just so happens ... Man arrested at LHC from the future
  13. I personally like an RTS-style menu as well as right-click actions. More options to do things, depending on the user's preferences
  14. I would choose a default option like Move. Makes the most sense to speed up the most-used task.
  15. A black hole hasn't opened up yet. I guess we're okay until the next attempt
  16. Characters and special forces will do missions. Defections are done by the AI, there is no way to trigger a defection. Uprisings are leadership. Sabotage is combat. I forgot the others, but I'm sure someone here can answer.
  17. Ouch, being annoyed by the sound ... and then being annoyed that I don't have electricity because it shorted out. Doh! Stupid trees!
  18. True, Rebellion is deeper. I think the simplicity of Sins helps with its overall simpler UI. Actually, I much prefer that fighters are attached to ships. It makes sense, from a gameplay stance as well as "real life" - fighters need a carrier for support. Lone fighter squadrons (despite the games like X-Wing and Rogue Squadron) would certainly not be the norm in any military conflict. It's not a criticism of your game design any. It's only one guy's opinion. Look forward to seeing what you come up with
  19. Personally, any Rebellion sequel will need to overhaul the outdated UI. It is a big issue to me, bring it into the modern era. I really like Sins of a Solar Empire's UI. It is very clean, strategic zoom in and out of the entire map, drag-and-drop commands, easy Empire tree. Messages don't hog the screen. For those information that absolutely requires a new window (research trees, etc), it lays over and does not stop the view of messages, resources, etc. Sins sets the standard for an intuitive, easy interface. Window-clicking and dialog boxes need to go.
  20. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27765
  21. Besides the models, Notepad (I recommend Notepad++ or other full featured code editor) & Sins modding forums http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/forum/443
  22. Well.. we don't have too many active users. Every once-in-a-while, a Rebellion player comes looking for a game. And we have some people interested in Sins mod. The most activity we get is still in the Randomness thread, a post usually every few days. Can't say there's anything really going on to warrant activity either. Nothing on the horizon besides SW:TOR
  23. Star Wars: Crosscurrent - by Paul S. Kemp - A Review Wow - this one really feels like Star Wars again. This brings us back to the Sith vs Jedi in a good way, connecting both the Jedi/Sith from the KOTOR era with the Jedi Knight series (mainly, just Jaden Korr). Despite the obvious cliche of timetravel, it doesn't try to explain every little detail. The characters actually do something in this book, they feel more heroic and less whiny. Even Jaden and Relin, both struggling with their own issues, continue to do what's right despite the hardships. (Though I'm unsure how Relin's weakness fits in yet) The side characters are all fairly interesting, from Marr the Cerean to the Anzati hunter. It's a fairly short book, but action-packed and fun. Maybe it doesn't introduce anything totally new, but I want to see where this goes. I'd love to see how this evolves, if Kemp gets another stab at a book using these characters.
  24. Balance, textures, icons, research, strings... all correctable. Just takes time. I know I've been busy, I'm sure Eville is too. Anyone with time, want to help?
  25. Sounds like a bad disc, have you tried it on any other system?
