  4. It is possible that you've hit the 2GB limit of resources. I believe that could cause Sins to crash Outside the Sins developers, we have no way to debug minidumps. No idea if there will be a solution.
  5. Nice. If they are available as separate mods, I suggest you create an addons folder in the svn repository with some instructions on how to use them. Or if they are meant to be integrated directly into SOGE, make sure we get permission to distribute them.
  6. SOGE is a total conversion mod. That means, no other Sins races. It is only designed to play in a full Star Wars universe, so expect full sounds, maps, logos, and more. It also has additional races (including the Vong and NR in the beta). Note that Requiem uses the same models as SOGE, namely those by SOGE's creator Eville Jedi.
  7. Sins isn't Starcraft... you're not going to find 15 minute skirmishes here. I like the fact that it's a longer strategy game that isn't dependent on how many mouse-clicks you can do in one minute. The larger maps are actually going to make longer games, as your ships will have to travel more. I would stick to the small or medium maps if you intend for short games.

  9. Pretty sure they were turned off for performance issues. With the game trying to calculate all the shield collisions, it just would slow down too much

  14. This patch is probably what you're referencing http://warlords.swrebellion.com/mantis/view.php?id=502 We've tried to make this minidump free, but obviously its hard to track these down. Not much we can do without specifics to test - whether it is a specific ship or ability. Try playing with only specific ships until you nail down the culprit
  15. Sins of a Galactic Empire is the natural evolution of the Warlords mod. The mod for Sins of a Solar Empire (http://www.sinsofasolarempire.com), it is played in one 3D map. However, it is distinctly not HW2's tactical style but a more strategic game, much closer to Rebellion. Being able to zoom in and out of the entire galaxy, it is pretty amazing to watch. Nearly everything can be done in the main interface (only opening separate windows for large information - like research, diplomacy, etc) Nearly all the models have been released for use with other mods. Might want to find Eville's model pack for Empire at War, as many of those mods use his models.

  22. 25 Years of Spectra: Star Wars: Heir to the Empire Wow, nearly 20 years since Heir to the Empire came out. It was a risk, Star Wars franchise was historical. Heir really rocked and started the Expanded Universe train
  23. Ooo I love some of these ideas. Definitely changes the tactics of the game (Always had fun with hyperspace inhibitors... esp those WTF moments in Homeworld where you're being attacked unprepared out of nowhere)
