[mandalorian nuthugger] Get it right! It goes "My back packs', got jets! Im Boba, the Fett!!" [/mandalorian nuthugger]

Yes. Im not as bad on the net, but in real life, I could drive the pope insane.
-
Well, if you avoid the comments section of each of the vids, it wont matter. But, they tend to be loudmouthed, obnoxious, vile people. Its like a second home for me.
-
A very funny one, if you can handle some of the pople that frequent it. It has tons of hilarious videos on it.
-
Im saorry, but seing this video makes me smile for many reasons. The main one being that whoever made it had the balls to mock Boba Fett... http://www.big-boys.com/articles/galaxies1.html

Well, I was overly immpressed with this final installment. Lucas, I think, redeemed himself greatly with this movie. Granted, some scenes were very out of place, and the whole midichlorians schtick should have been fired right out the window, but you cant expect perfection from the man who created Jar Jar. On that note, I was happy to only have seen Jar Jar in one scene, and he never spoke. That was wonderful!!
-
I am going to the movie with the lowest opf possible expectations, hoping to be pleasently surprised. But I fear the odds of that are about the as good as the odds of Jar Jar ever being intelligent.

OOC: I have always been serious!!! *nods his head like a bobblehead doll* IC: Deep in space, near the Mantell system, Captain Ivak sat in the bridge of his warship, the Warriors' Rage, and carefully watched the holgram before him. It startled him when he had received the message, he had been under strict orders for communication silence unless absolutely necessary. But what startled him even more, was the man speaking to him from the hologram. Stanging barely six inches tall, but still a commanding figure, was Grand Admiral Thrawn. "Attention Mandalorian vessels. No doubt you are aware of the battle for Ord Mantell, and how the forces allied against the Reporan Emperium there have suffered grave losses. I will be leading a large force to the planet in an attempt to break the blockade to retreive not only my forces, but also the GFFA, Imperial, and Mandalorain forces also trapped there. While I do not forsee any major catastrophes in the making, I wish to have your vessels on standbye if we require your assistance. If needed, I will contact you." the hologram said, then vanished. Ivak had tried to trace the messages origins, but his comm officer had simply told him that the message seemed to have originated in the ship itself. Ivak had no idea how that was possible, but he had decided not to let it bother him. What did bother him was the fact that Thrawn had known that the mandalorians had warships in the area. While he knew it shouldn't have, considering the fact that it was Thrawn, ivak knew that most of the warships near the Mantell system had arrived only days before. and had been jumping randomly through space since then, to prevent enemy ships from locating them. "Captain, we are receiving a transmission, high priority, from the flagship." a comm officer said, and Ivak nodded. More than likely it was orders about if they were going to do what Thrawn had requested. "Let me see it." he ordered, and the script appeared on a small moniter at his chair. He read through it, and nodded. "Alright. We have a change of orders. We will continue to jump randomly, but we must be prepared to assist Thrawn if he requests it. Bring the vessel to high alert." he said, and he received a hail of acknowledgements from around the bridge. Ivak sat back and ponderd to himself carefully, wondering if the warfleet was finally going to enter this war in force. If so, he had no doubt that if it came to that, this war was going far worse than he had thought.

Well, having nothing better to do, I would be more than willing to be the PR guy for the game, and the site!! Ill write up a FAQ of what were are aiming to do, but to do that i will need some more info about goals for the game. I was bored at work, so I came up with some basic questions which will help outline the game somewhat. - We already know the game is free, but will donations to keep the game running be welcome? - Can you sell/trade supplies/troops/vessels to other players if need be, even members of the opposing factions? -Will there be an open market to sell such things on? - Can Independents sell to all factions directly, regardless of who they started out as? - Do the space and ground battle run like they did in SW Rebellion, or will there be a new system for them? - If you choose to become an Independent, will there be a seperate rank system for you and other independents, or will it be the same as your original factions? - Can you Tax worlds under your control? If so, will taxes being to high cause them to go into revolution? Will to many military untis cause revolution? - If you have a lack of funds and/or supplies to keep your vessels and facilities running, will they simply degrade over time, or will they simply be destroyed until you are back under "budget"? These are what I have for now, and will help in the creation of a general FAQ for the game, along with what you have already informed us of. -

Simply put: WOW. This game has a level of commitment needed that is astounding. You are going to need a very dedicated team to even attempt to pull this off. But by the looks of it, you have a very good start already. But you did mention privateer. Does this mean I can just be a pirate, and pillage the spacelanes as I see fit? Or would I still have top be part of a faction? If I could be a straight out pirate, I would quite every other game I play just to play this game. Sadly, I cannot help develope the gamedue to a severe lack of usefull computer skills, unless you need people just to offer thoughts, and perhaps point out parts of the game that will take away from the overall funability of the game. -
Well, it would be interesting, thats for sure. But the problems with pulling that off would make it far to difficult. That, and we have a hard enough time keeping the Repora RP going, and thats not even close to being done yet.

ok, this isn't about Rebellion, but it is about Star Wars Role playing. The campaign we just ended today has been going on for several months. All of us were either smugglers, pirates, or hired thugs. After a few months of romp-stomping just about everything our GM through at us, we grew some rather large egos. So we decided that the ciminal organisation we were building needed the biggest, baddest, most completely horrid base of operations we could get our dirty little hands on. So what to we decide to do? Go to Kuat, and hijack the Super Star Destroyer they are building. Now, to do this, we had to do several things. First off, deal with the Imperial fleet, and the horrid amount of defence stations. To deal with them, we get the awesome idea of using slicers to take command of the defence stations, and programming them to fire on the Imperial vessels at a certain point in time. We get that all set up, dealing with those two problems. Next, we have the gournd based fighter units. To deal with these pesky little bastards, we hire mercenaries to basically blow them up. All of them. Astoundingly, we find mercs crazy enough to do it, stupid enough to realize that they wont live long enough to get off the planet, so we wont have top pay them. Perfect. Finally, we need a massive distraction to make everyone look away from the vessel we are trying to steal. Enter the disgruntled Kuat workers themselves, who for the most part have no love for the empire. We find out that they are more than willing to set charges all over the shipyards to blast them all into scrap metal for us. Which works out, becuase then people will think we are trying to save the ship. Perfect. So, we get aboard the vessel, and find it delightfully empty of people. We send the signal that sets off all the charges on the planet, blasted several TIE wings into the next galaxy. Then, we send the signal which orders the defence stations to turn on the Star Destroyers. Needless to say, the Imperial fleet was not happy to get sucker punched like that. The basically went to town on the stations, resulting in massive casualties all around. Finally, we set off the charges all over the yards. beautiful lightshow, Im willing to bet. As the yards, and countless incomplete vessels, are being turned into a new asteroid belt, we decide its time to leave. So we fire up the engine of Ol' Betsy. (yes, that is what we decided to name the ship.) We pulled out of the yards, and high tailed it for deep space. By the time the remaining imperial fleet figured out that the SSD was no longer in their hands, we were to far away for them to stop us. We began celebrating, thinking we just pulled off the biggest heist of all time, and screwing the empire while doing it. Well, much to our annoyance, something had slipped past us. The Executor was due in that very day to begin some minor repairs. With it, were several Star Destroyers. Even worse, they exited hyperspace in front of us. Not good. End result, Ol' Besty got turned into scrap rather handily by the imperials. Our chars, who had tried to escape via starfighters, were all captured. And as for punishment, not only did Vader throw our hides out of the closest airlock, he had all of our chars freinds, families, pets, cohorts, bookies, ect. ect. killed in just about the same fashion. It was an effective purge of our existance. So now the question is, should we try this again in our next campaign, or should we just go all out and hijack the Death Star instead?

Grand Moffs came a dime a dozen. Sith lords were two of a kind. Vader beats Tarkin.

We are getting ready to evacuate now. The Repora won the ground war, but only after taking massive casualties. So it will be over soon. The grand finale will be, by far, the best going away present ever though. I cant wait.

Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith Script

The thought of either one of them playing Han makes me shuddder.... -
Ilos sat and watched the sensor reports stroll in slowly. They had been waiting for nearly four hours now, his entire force at high alert. He had sent Sabre squadron out on recon runs to several nearbye systems, in hopes of finding vagaari vessels for his fleet to attack. So far, all but one of the groups had come back, with nothing to report. But one pair of fighters was still out there. And they were overdue. Ilos was beginning to worry now, he couldnt afford to lose any more of Sabre squadron, especially since the pilots were on loan to him. Around him, the bridge was as silent as he was. Everyone knew the importance of this mission, and knew that failure of any sort was not an option. Suddenly, two small blips appeared on the long range sensors, and Ilos smiled. He wasnt happy that they were late, but he was happy that they had come back alive. He stood up from his command chair, and walked over to the communications array. But as he did so, his sensor officer suddenly looked over at him and spoke. "Admiral, we have a dozen enemy contacts entering the system. Sensors indicate they are all of Vagaari design, and are powering up their weapons." he said, and Ilos nodded. "So they want to fight? Well then, lets see what they can do. Order Sabres seven and Eight to get back to the fleet as full speed. Tell them to drop sheild if they need to. And open a channel to the Vagaari. I wish to speak with them." Ilos said, and his communications officer smiled and nodded. He knew what the admiral was about to try. And if it didnt work, they lready had a short jump plotted out that would get them away from any battles they didnt want to fight. "Channel open Admiral." the officer said, and Ilos nodded. if this worked, all the vagaari vessels would here him, and whatever weas said to him. So he had to do this right. He had a feeling he would only get one shot at it. "Attention Vagaari vessels. This is Admiral Hirotek of the GFFA. I wish to speak to you of a certain matter that is of great importance to both yourselves, and to the GFFA." he said, but before he could continue, a snarling voice came over the comm. "You will immeditaly surrender your ships, and prepare to be boarded. Any resistance will result in your destruction." the voice said, and Ilos sighed. This wasnt going to be as easy as he had hoped. *************************************************** As Seryk flew with the remnents of the mandalorian army, he wondered how thye were going to get off the planet. The Repora had the planet blockaded with enough vessels to prevent a normal evacuation. And he knew that the one cruiser Fett had in reserve was no where near enough to break the blockade without getting blasted into scrap. But at the moment, that was the least of hius problems. Right now, getting away from the reporan behind him was. Around him, other Mandalorians thought the same thing. But along with that, was the thoughts of defeat. They had been defeated in open battle, something that had only happened a handfull of times in their entire history. But they had never been routed like they had been today. They had been defeated soundly by an enemy that was far more dangerous, for more deadly than any they had ever faced. But even after defeat, the Mandalorians were happy. They had found the one thing their race had always wanted. An enemy that proved to be a challenge. Soon, they were within the range of the bases' defensive weapons, and the remaining mandalorians landed quickly and began to set up new positions within the rocky formations that surrounded the base. If the Repora followed them this far, they would find that cornered mandalorians were a far more dangerous foe than ones they had fought before.

Dont worry Stellar, just think of it as a chance to start fresh. As for the forces over Adumar, Ioor was in command, and they consisted of the Guardian, the Harbringer, and twelve Raveger class destroyers. And more than likely a horde of support ships. More than enough to tke on the Vagaari forces, but the Reporan vessels will cause some problems....
