Yes,. tjat was a very, very, very bad day. Thankfully, life has gotten much better since then. New car, new place, new job. IOt was if life decided to throw all that junk at me at once, and let me have the reat of the year or so off.

You could use the Mandalorian fleet also, Im sure they would love a chance to try their hand at pounding Reporan naval vessels.
-
What, the chase were Boba knocked it out with darts filled with a nerve agent after the Repora failed to penetrate his cortosis lined robes with a lightsaber?
-
To find or not to find. That's the dilema.

This game still has a massive following, much larger than most people realise. A freind of mine actually calls it "The number one Star Wars game for those that know it exists." As for buying it, lucasarts still has copies (which is good, because mine is still MIA), Ebay has copies, and there are a few other places to get copies of the game, but lets not get into that. -
Very nice man. Thats awesome. Now get to posting!! *pokes Mad in the head with a gaffi stick*

Seryk watched as the newest wave of Reporan warriors charged at them. He could tell this was not going to be good. Their lines were already spread thin as it was. By the looks of things, they would be lucky to make it out of this alive. But before he could continue his thought, the warriors were upon them. Seryk waited for another second, then activated his lightsaber, much to the surprise of the warrior he had targeted. That surprise allowed him to strike first, a luky blow that severed the beasts arm. As the warrior screamed in pain, Seryk shoved the blade into its nmouth, silencing it. But before he could move on to the next target, he was bowled over by the falling body of a mandalorian. As he stood back up, another warrior decided to take advantage of his mometary lack of defence, and attacked him, launching a brutal assault of lightsaber attacks. Seryk defended as best he could, but found that his skills were no match for this warriors. Seryk quickly began to fall back, as did the rest of the line. They were being overwhelmed, both by the sheer numbers of warriors they now faced, and by their skill. As they slowly fell back, many mandalorians died, but Seryk was happy to still hear the screams of dying repora. Suddenly, Seryk felt a sharp pain in his side, and he screamed in agony. He fell to the ground, and looked up to see a warrior standing over him, its double bladed lightsaber pointed at his head. "You, warrior, are differnt from the rest of your brethern. You have the force as your ally. It is to bad that today, it failed you." the warrior said, and Seryk watched as it raised it weapon to deliver the final blow. But before the warrior could strike, Seryk made a subconcious decision. Survival by any means necessary. In a heartbeat, he reached down inside of himself, and grabbed at all the anger he had hidden from the world. Anger at the vong for killing his father. Anger at himself for not dying with him. Anger at the Repora for starting yet another war. And once he had it firmly in the grip of his mind, he unleashed it. The warrior never saw the strike coming. Seryk lashed out at him with the force, knocking the beast off of its feet. Before it could even begin to recover, Seryk was on him, driving his lightsaber into the warriors gullet. The warrior screamed, an agonizing sound that reverborated throughout Serykls body. It jerked Seryk back to his sences, just enough to hear Fett through the commlink. "All troops, retreat. Fall back to the main group. All reserve units to the front lines. Alpha group, you may strike at will." was all he heard, all he needed to hear. He activated his rocket pack, and blasted off from the feild, along with the rest of the surviving mandalorians. They moved quickly, faster than the repora could follow them. Once they reached the main lines, they landed, and were quickly joined by the few troops that Fett had left in reserve. Seryk could tell that this was going to be their final stand in this battle. But then the thought occured to him of what everything Fett had said. he had no idea who alpha group was, or where they were. ********************************************** OOC: Everyone, meet Alpha group, Mandalores commandos. IC: Jarhiss smiled as he heard the order. He had been waiting for several hours in the forests behind the enemy lines, wanting to do nothing more than strike at them. But he knew he had to wait. But finally the waiting was over. He and his companions had been tracking a Skirmish group for some time now, just waiting for the chance to strike. He lept from tree to tree silently, the sound dampner on his arm reducing any noise he made to something less that a whispher of the wind. The ysalamiri on his back prevented him from being seen through the force. And his advanced armor was light, so light that it felt like a second set of clothes. But heavy armor wasnt needed for him. His prey would die before thay had a chance top attack him. Once all of the Alpha members were in position, they fell from teh trees ino the enemy formation. The vagaari group Consisted entirely of infantry, and was designed to detect flanking manuvers by enemy forces, not stop elite commando units. Before the Vaagari even knew what was goin on, the commandoes had begun massacring them. Vibroblades slahed through armor like it was paper, and silenced slug throwers peirced the armor of the enemy troops that had been granted such things. Even the two Repora leading the group were caught off gaurd, and fell quickly. Jorhiss looked around, happy to see that none of his men had perished. Not that he had expected any to. A quick count brought the total of enemy dead to almost eighty. A very poor ratio, even for the Vagaari troops. He smiled, and then motioned with his had. Silently, the nine commandoes lept back into the trees, intent on finding more targets. He knew his actions would not win this battle. But, it would be a silent vengeance for those that had already fallen.

Wow, lots of stories of bad days. I think its time to share my worst day that I can recall clearly. Mind you, this all happens in one 24 hour period. I wake up at the buttcrack of noon, as per usual, and start getting ready for work. naturally, Im a little hung over, but no big deal (this comes into play later). As I work on finding my boots, I notice an odd smell coming from the kitchen. I go in there to find that one of my roomates had decided to cook last night, but hadnt pulled the pan off the stove, or turned it off, ruining my only cooking pot. This did not make me happy at all. But I decided I 2would just add it to his rent, no big deal. So I finally find my boots under the couch, and discover that someone had decided that spilling beer all over them would be a good idea. So they reaked of beer. But I figure 'Hey, my boss will understand', as he was sleeping still in the room next to mine. So I put my boots on and go wake my boss up, and we leave for work. On the way to work, I suddenly noticed the flashing lights behind me. Not good. I pull over, and they pull up behind me. Really not good. The officer gets out of his vehicle, and I see that its my ex-girlfreinds father, and suddenly get the feeling that I was abou to get screwed hard. And naturally, i was right. Now remember, I am hung over, and the smell of beer is wafting from my boots. So the beginning of the conversation goes like this. "Have you been drinking?" "I was last night." "So why do you reek of beer now?" "Someone poured beer all over my boots" Ill let you figure out how the rest of the conversation went. After a quick sobriety test, which i easily passed, he pulled out the breathalizer. I failed. Off to jail I went!! As for my boss, he, in his drunken state, drove my car to work. Cops never even questioned him. Well, I have to sit in the drunk tank for twelve hours. i figure "hey, I can get some sleep!'. So I fall alseep. Less than an hour later, who is tossed in the tank but my boss. How did he get caught? Its pretty easy, when the car in parked inside the livivng room of a house. Thats right, he hit a house with my car. Needless to say, I was furious. But I figure "Hey, the car is fully insured, and I wanted to get rid fo it anyways. insurance will pay for all the damages, and a new car." So I fall asleep, wondering how my boos was going to explain why we were both in jail. I wake up finally, and get let out. I go home, expecting to find an emty house. Which is good, becuase I wanted to play loud, angry music. But I get home to find the door unlocked. Interesting. I go inside, and see my current girlfriends shoes on the floor. I figure she stopped in to make me some food. Then I notice her shirt on the couch. Along with her pants. Now Im confused, but I bet you can see where this is heading. I then hear noise in the bathroom, and wak in there to investigate. in the shower I find my girlfreind, and some guy I dont know. I was immediatly filled with the dark side, and let loose my anger upon them. Well, I ended up back in jail with a broken nose, happy with the fact that my now ex-girlfreind was going to be have mental images of me and her boy-toy getting into a brawl in the bathroom. Im not happy with the fact that I was going to lose the damage deposit on the house, due to the new hole I was forced to install in the wall of the bathroom using my head (hence the borken nose). I sat there for a good three hours, and then find out that my boss had bailed me out. As it turns out, lover boy had a broken arm and three cracked ribs, and she had sprained her foot trying to escape the bathroom. All of which made me happy. After he bails me out, We go home to clean up the now trashed bathroom. Once that is done, I go uptown, and hire the best lawyer I can afford, because I knew i was going to need one. In the end though, things didnt turn out to bad. The DWI got thrown out when the judge found out the officer had no reason to pull mo over other than "suspicious driving", which is a big no-no where I live. As for the assault charges they threw at me, they got thrown out due to the fact that lover boy had the same charges thrown at him, and the judge figured they would just cancell each other out. My insurance did cover all the damage done tot he house, and the money from the car paid for my lawyer. My Ex, however, was charged with breaking and entering, since I told the police that she didnt have a key to my house, which she actually did, but couldnt prove, since she left it in her pants, which I happily had thrown into the trash. She ended up with a hefty fine, lots of probation, and had to pay for all the damage caused to my house from the fight, since her breaking in just to cheat on me was the direct cause of it all. Alll in all though, that was one really crappy day.

I can testify to the addictiveness of MMORPGs, having played DAoC since it came out. I play that game on a daily basis, and at one time had five accounts for it. Thankfully, Im down to one account now, much cheaper that way.

Welcome, fellow fan of the gmae known as rebellion!!! It is always good to have new members, especially ones that actually post!!! Hopefully you stay with us for a long time, and give us valuable insight into anything star wars!!!!

After carefull consideration, much deliberation, and some drinking (Im starting my two days off after 13 in a row), I decided that the Nebulon-B was my choice. Why, you ask? Simple. You can get them early on in the game, and the moment you get them they have a habit of becoming essential ships in your starting fleets. Later on, they make a good ship to build on the cheap for a quick boost of a fleet, as they are capable of taking on starfighters with relative ease, and they can take a beating from heavier ships before they go away. Also, three or Four of them can give even a Mark II SD enough of a problem to make sure that at best it limps away from a fight. Five of them can take down a MArk II and most of its fighters, making it a good ship to have in a defensive fleet. That, and the name is cool. Say it with me now. Nebulon-B. Neb-U-Lon-Beeeeee........

Nope, cant think of any other way to cuase a major panic. Short of blasting Denon out of existance just for the fun of it, along with the GFFA leaders. By the way, what kind of force would I find over Adumar? I think I may have the Mandalorians attack it to test out their fleet.
-
The comment that a major member of the UDA will die? Why Thrawn? He is like the PIMP of Star Wars!!!!! But if Garrik can ge that new Eclipse running, and get it a crew in time, combine that with the Imperious and whatever Thrawn brings in, and yes, the Repora will have one hell of a fight on their hands. Perhaps it is time for the Mandalorians to finally enter the space theatre is full force also. They have had more than anough time to ready the fleet. Dont think Mantell would be a good entrance for them however though. Perhaps a temorary liberation of Adumar to finish evacuating it?

Seryk watched, a look of astonishment hidden by his helmet, as the reporan warriors broke and ran. He joined in with the cheers that rose up amognst the ranks of mandalorians. Suddenly, it looked as if they just might win this fight. Then he saw them. From the line of trees marched more troops. But through the force, and with his own eyes, he could tell these were seasoned warriors. The battle was not yet over. Not even close. As the cheers died down, he looked around, and noted the many mandalorian bodies that lay scattered. Thankfully, it seemed to him that even more Repora had died in the fight, but the mandalorians were dwindeling in numbers. This was not looking good to him at all. "Seryk, these are fierce warriors you face. Are you sure you are ready for this?" a voice suddenly said, and Seryk looked about, searching for the source of the voice. But no one was looking at him, nor did anyone else seem to hear the voice. "Of course he is ready. If he was not, do you think he would be foolish enough to face them?" rang out another voice, this one he recognized as his grandmother. As Seryk wondered what was going on, his surroundings began to waver, then change to the bleak landscape of Tatooine. He turned quickly, and saw standing behind him the blue image of his grandmother, but also the image of an older man. His dark brown hair was tied back into a braid, and his light blue eyes held in them a fierce determination. After a moment, it dawned on Seryk who he was seeing. "So, you recognize me? Thats good. I figured you would ask me who I was, and all that nonsence. Good to see you have some brains in your head." his grandfather said, and his grandmother turned to him, a frown on her face. "He found our home, didnt he? That alone proves his intelligence, and the fact that he is on that world proves his bravery. I told you he was a spitting image of you." she said, and his grandfather laughed. "Please tell me this is important, if not, I have a battle to fight." Seryk snapped, and his grandparents turned back to him. "Control your anger Seryk, such things lead to the dark side." his grandmother said, and his grandfather nodded in agreement. "Listen to her Seryk. I have seen what the dark side can do to people. It is not a pleasent site. As for what we are doing, we are just making sure you know what you are getting into. After what happened to your father, we were surprised that you would simply run off an join a war like this one." his grandfather said, and Seryk nodded. "I am doing what is right. What's wrong with that?" he asked, and his grandfather shrugged. "Nothing is wrong with it. But are you doing it just because it is the right thing to do? Or are you doing it for other reasons?" his grandfather asked, and Seryk shook his head. "No other reason. What other reason would there be?" he asked, and his grandmother smiled. "There are many reasons to go and fight a war. A quest for glory, a want of power, a search for vengeance, all of these have been reasons for war. none of them good reasons. And all of them lead to the dark side." his grandmother quipped, and Seryk thought about it for a moment, but then shook his head. "While you have a point, none of those reasons would suit me. I fight because it is the right thing to do." he said, and his grandmother nodded. "I will not disagree with you on that, but this battle, on this world. Is this the right time to fight? Are you sure you can win? Or are you just throwing yourself into it because everyon else thinks its right? You felt those warriors through the force. They have years of experiance, both in combat and the force. Are you sure that now is your time to fight?" his grandmother asked, and Seryk stopped to think. While he had trained for many year in hand to hand combat, he skill in the force was lacking severely. And compared to many of the mandalorians that were on the planet, he had never finished his training. All in all, he was heavily outmatched by just about everyone around him. "Wether I am ready or not for this battle, I can't just leave. We need all the warriors we can get for this fight." he said, and his grandfather smiled. "Even in the face of death, he stands his ground, and he uses wisdom as his reason. Flawed reason, but reason nonetheless." his grandfather said, and his grandmother nodded. "Seryk, you will live through this fight. I have seen that much. But know this, the fights ahead of you will be much worse. Not just for the galaxy as a whole, but for you in particular. Hold true to who you are, and never forget where you came from." his grandmother said, and Seryk got a puzzled look on his face. He was about to ask what she meant, when her whispy form vanished. "Seryk, a little advice for you. Sometimes you most valuable weapon, is not the one in your hand, but the ones in your enemies." his grandfather said, and then his form also disapeared. Suddenly, Seryk was back on the battle feild, and it seemed like only a moment had passed. He looked around again, and saw that the mandalorians were re-forming thier lines to confront the next wave of warriors. Seryk joined them, and pondered for a moment about what his grandfather had said before he vanished. But he tossed the thought aside, knowing he had more important things to worry about. The repora were advancing.

I have no idea. We have to wait for stellar to post to find out what exactly is going on.
-
Im actually guessing it wont be garrick that saves everyone. Personally, i dont think you would want your forces to have to try and take on what the Repora have in orbit.
-
soooooo........ anyone going to post?
-
Maybe the old AT-ATs, but Im willing to bet these have heavier armor than the ones of ages past. That, and they have the range to be far enough back from the ground troops to not really have to worry about them quite yet.
-
Hey now, I smashed my opponents with turbolasers, even Reporan infantry should fear those babies. My mandalorains are gonna get whooped something fierce though, if my thinking is correct.

Read I, Jedi. The lightsaber Corran builds uses synthesized gems, and one of them burns out in the middle of a fight. Not good.

Actually, Daala realised that she couldnt win the war with just a few battles. What she was trying to accomplish was a massive psychological strike at the heart of the republic, hence the reason she leveled Khomm, that one artsy-fartsy world, and then launched an attack at the Jedi Acedemy. If she had succeeded, the Republic would have been in shock. Follow that up by spreading out her forces and smashing a few shipyards, and her forces would have presented a very real threat once again, as limited as they were. But sadly, her attempts were ended with a patheticly ubsurd loss over Yavin. -
Without getting too imature, I think Leia was using the lightsabers for a little more than just Jedi-stuff, if you know what I mean.... That's probably why she needed a new one to fight this weeks new villian. Nah, she could just wash it off after every use, to hide the evidence from Han.

Considering the limited resources Thrawn was given to work with, 200 dreadnaughts that need such a small crew would be a major break for either side. And considering the fact that neither side had an exceptionally huge fleet (despite what people think after reading the NJO series), it makes 200 dreadnaughts even more important. As for the EU as a whole, some book we could have done without. Most of them having to do with Luke and/or Jedi. That stupid book where he was chasing down Callista, and the book with Hethrir in it are two prime examples. I actually thouth the black fleet crisis was a good series, but it could have donewithout the whole 'Luke looking for mommy' bit. Granted, the Teljkon Vegabond did seem to be filler, but it gave us something else to be interested in. As for the 'books without imperial villians are boring' arguement, which I have read on many websites, I think that having a few non-imperial villians is a good thing. It shows that there are more threats out there than the empire, and that not everyone joined one side or the other. People seem to forget about the Hapan Empire and the Corperate sector occasionally, even though they do play major roles in the galaxy, albight usually in the backround. -
Leia has had red, green, orange, and yellow lightsabers. I assume she keeps using synthesized jems, and they simply burn out. Either that, or she just loses alot of lightsabers. As for me, I would wanta bright pink lightsaber, to annoy the hell out of my enemies with. Combine that with a putrid mix a pee yellow and bright green polka-dotted robes, and I would be the most hidious looking sith in the galaxy!

Seryk watched as the Reporan droids and walkers that had survived the massive bombardment from the now destoryed cruiser were struck with the wave of ion blasts. Now there was an opening. A small one, but one that he could not afford to let past. He stood back up, and quickly rallied the remaining Mandalorian troops and vehicles into a hasitly formed battle line. And with a loud yell, they charged at the enemy troops. Without the walkersand droid'ekas with them, the remaining reporan ground troops had lost a major edge in the battle, and the Mandalorians made quick work of their weakened foes. The ramining mandlorian hover tanks quickly opened fire, devestating the few remaining reporan walkers which were now without their sheilds. The walkers fell quickly, reporan warriorsscattering to avoid the explosions that they knew would follow. The heavy mandalorian battlesuits opened up with their anti-infantry cannons, laying waste to the reporan droids that still stood, quickly decimating them. Then the Repora, realising that they were doomed, turned and charged at the mandalorians, determined to take as many of them with them as possible. The mandlorians, long wanting to shed the blood of this dangerous foe, gladly met them in open combat, eager to see who was best. ******************************************** Fett stared at his sensors carefully, and began to let loose a long string of the strongest curses he could think of in ever language he knew. Katarn standing next to him, winced at the ones he understood, knowing that he didnt want to know about the ones that he could not understand. "Blasted repora are bringing down more of their capitol ships. Without air support, they are going to blast our lines into nothing." Fett said, and Kyle frowned. "Do you have anymore vessels in orbit?" he asked, and Fett shook his head. "No, the Wolfsbane was the only one I could openly contact, theother vessel is for our evacuation. Assuming we live that long, that is." he said, and Katarn frowned at this comment. "You doubt that we will?" he asked, and Fett nodded. "Unless Solo has a warfleet parked nearbye, the Repora arejust going to bombard us into oblivion. And there isnt a thingwe can do about it now." he said, and Katarn slowly nodded, suddenly realising that there was a good chance that they would never make it off this planet. "Sir, those firewalkers are on the move, heading towards the GFFA lines." a mandalorian suddenly yelled out,and Fett nodded. "Well, I think I may have a few weapons that the GFFA can use against them. Order a squad of troopers to take some HDC's to the GFFA lines. Those might work. If not, at least we can say we tried." Fett ordered, anda mandalorian nodded. Kyle looked over to Fett, a puzzled look on his face. "What in the name of the force are HDCs?" he asked, and Fett looked over to him. "Those firewalker creatures appear to be immune to fire and normal energy weapons. Normal energy weapons use heat anda small explosion to cause damage. These use an energy discharge to simply disintigrate the target at a molecular level. No heat involved." he said, and Katarn got a horrified look on his face. "Disruptor cannons? You have disruptor cannons? Even the empire outlawed those things! And thats saying something!" Katarn yelled, but Fett simply shrugged. "We never followed the laws of the empire, so we didnt really care. Besides, we would normally use them to bring down magnetically sealed doors. Although they might work for this." Fett said, and katarnsimply stared back at him. He knew that he shouldprotest more, but he also know that desperate times called for desperate measures. But he had to wonder if things were truelly getting so desperate that the some of the cruelest weapons ever created were warranted. **********************************************8 Ilos stared at his datapad, and smiled. Repairs to the Stormshore were moving along at a steady pace, and the ship would be ready to leave drydock soon. The rest of his fleet was already repaired and ready for combat. And his forces had been supplemented by the remaining vessels of the Adumarian defence fleet. All told, that left him with a trio of Star Destoryers, a bothan assualt cruiser, and half a dozen smaller vessels. A much smaller force than when he had started out, but still enough to cause havoc if he used it correctly. But hopefully Athien would continue working with him, and her vessels would complemnt his in firepower. Then he could get backto work disrupting the Reporan supply lines. As Ilos sat there, his comm system beeped, and he tapped a button. A hologram appeared in front of him of a familiar face. Ilos smiled, and suddenly felt the wirght on his shoulderslighten slightly. "Athien, you are back. How went your mission?" he asked, and Athien smiled. "Well, I have some good knews, some more good news, and some bad news. But we should discuss it in person. Perhaps over dinner?" she asked, and Ilos nodded. "Of course. I also have somegood news to report. But we shall discuss ot over dinner. Im sure you will need to be debriefed before anything else." he said, and Athien nodded. "Yes. I will meet you afterwards. We have a lot of work to do." she said, and the hologram vanished. Ilos leaned back in his chair, the smileon his face never waivering. He wondered to himself what all of her knews would consist of. He just hopedthe bad knews wouldnt outweigh the good. They needed some luck on their side, and luck was becoming more scarce as the days went by. ************************************************* OOC: Old enemies begun anew? IC: Deep in the core of the galaxy, far from even the few spacelanes that are known to pass through the severe cluster of start, black holes, and nebulas, a small star floated through space, having found safe harbor in a small stable section of space. Around this world floated a sereies of planets, all but one of the dead worlds devoid of life. But one world held life, and it was on this world that refugees of a lost war had found peace. On the run from the fleets of the New Republic, they had stumbled across this world entirely by accident, and had decided to stay here, thinking it would be a safe place to hide. Originally, the colonists had thought that eventually they couldlaunch a renewed assault on the Republic, but finally realised that they did not have the manpower to even make a nuisance of themselves. So thay had stayed hidded, and decided instead to build a world for their children to live on, one that would remain hidden from the turmoils of the rest of the galaxy. To defend the world, they had used a peice of technology that the ressurectoed emperor had intoruced to the galaxy, the World Devestator. Releasing the two of them that they had upon of of the dead worlds orbiting the star, the colonists had managed to build several more of the massive vessels, and then had turned them to building a massive fleet of automated starfighters, enough to simply overwhelm any fleet sent at them. But they also fabricated buildings for the colonists and their familes as they werebrough in from the rest of the galaxy. As had been a hard, but peacefull existance thus far. One thay had hoped would last forever. On the colonized world, the leader of the colonists slept, her bed filled with rare feathers from birds of the world. Her people had allowed her this one luxury on this world, for having helped them as much as she had. But to her, it was simply a memory of more comfterable times, when teh galaxy had been a different place. There had been nights when she hated the bed, but she had accepted it the gift it was meant to be. But this night, her bed brought her little peace. She had recieved a communication earlier in the week, one that had shaken her to the core of her being. The communication had been short, and to the point. "You served me faithfully and without doubt in the mighty Empire, andcontinued to serve me after me death. Now it is time for you to once again serve me. If you do so faithfully, andwithout question, you will be greatly rewarded. If you refuse, you will wish you and your people had died at the hands of the rebels. I await your responce." the man had said. She wished they had never received the message, she wished the core of the galaxy would have swallowed it up,never to have made it to her world. Her people had known peace for over a dozen years now. She had no idea how she could just throw them back into the war, especially after thay had managed to avoid the war against the vong. Slowly, the elderly woman rose from her bed, and made her way overto her closet. She opened it, and stared at teh Imperial uniform that hung there, as if waiting for her to once again take up arms for her Emperor. At one point she may have, without question. But now, she had a family. She had married, and had children to worry about. Children that she did not want to witness the horrors that war eventually brought. But she did not know how to avoid the call of her former master. Not without risking the livesof all the people that had come to trust her. The woman walked back to her bed, and sat down. Beside her, her husband slept peacefully, not knowing that the fate of their world now hung in the balance. Slowly, she laid back down, and tried to sleep. But every time she closed her eyes, she saw the face of the emperor, staring at her relentlessly. When sleepfinallycameto her, her dreamswere filled with the horrors she had seen in the civil war, and what would happen if a war was brought to her world. In her sleep, the old woman cried.

Rapora Wars: The Yaathkree Afair (Subplot RPG)
BadSamaritan replied to Stellar_Magic's topic in Role Playing - 1
OOC: YAY!! I can post today! IC: Eklesh sat in his quarters, and carefully read the reports that were laid out in front of him. With the arrival of the skywalkers, almost every major government involved in the war had a representative here. He was beginning to wonder what was taking the Chiss and UDA so long in sending people. But he heoped thay wouldnt. So many parties would make the deal much more difficult than it already was. To many parties getting involved would only cause more problems. Asd Eklesh sat there, his intercomm chimes at him twice, announcing the arrival of his security captain. He sighed, and wondered what was going wrong now. They were already having problems with the force dampening feild, its energy consumption was enourmous. But he refused to lower it, considering the damage that fool Durron had caused a decade ago. He trusted the skywalkers notto be proplematic, itwas the Repora he was worried about. He knew just enough about them to know they were about as trust worthy as his people were. "Come in." he said, and he nodded as his captain of security entered the room. He still found it strangeto have a human running his security, but he was the best money could by. "President, I will keep this quick. Here are the latest recordings from all of the conversations that the delegates have had. But those can wait. This is far more important." he said, and he slippeda small datapad to Eklesh. Eklesh took the pad,and read the breif report. The look on his face went from one of boredom to one of concern. "Are you certain this is correct? Not some fluke? you know that sensor has caused us problems in the past." He asked cautiously, but his security advisor shook his head. "No, I ran several diagnostics myself. The readings are correct. It entered the range of our sensors several hours ago, and has held steady at those coordinates since." he said, and the president slowly nodded. "So they want us to know they are there then. Any idea as to who they are?" he asked, but the captian simply shook his head. "Unfortunetly, no. The gravitronic sensors can give us general massof the vessel, but since it is cloaked, we cant really tell who it is. But I can say one thing for certain, it is not from any of the governments that already have people here. Doingsomethinglike this would violate the deal." he said, and Eklesh nodded. "Very true. Which leaves what, the UDA or the chiss?" he asked, and the captain nodded. "Basically. But since the chiss are scattered along with their military, I doubt they would waste such a valuable vessel on something like spying on a diplomatic mission. So more than likely it is the UDA." he said, and Eklesh nodded. But Eklesh noted the slight glimmer in the mans eye, and frowned. "You know something that you arent telling me, Dont you?" he asked, and the captain stared at him for a moment, then sighed. "Yes, but unfortunetly I cannot tell you what that is." he said, and Eklesh sneered. "You will if you value your job, along with your life." Eklesh barked, but the captian stood his ground. "With all due repect sir, if I do tell you, I would be safer in the hands of the Repora than I would be enywhere else. And even thenI would not be safe." he said, and Eklesh stared at him for a moment. But he then decided that some secrets were best kept as secrets. "Alright, I will trust you for now. But know this. The moment I decide that that vessel may compromise me in the deal, either you will tell me what you know, or I will execute you myself, and my fleet will blast it to pieces. Understood?" he asked, and the captain nodded. "Yes sir. But trust me when I say they will stay out of it unless they themselves are threatened. If it is who I think it may be, that is." he said, and he turned to walkout of the room. Eklesh watched him walk for a few moments, and then sighed. He was beginning to wonder if maybe he should have just kept his people out of this whole mess to begin with. But it was to latefor that. For now, he just had to make the best out of this whole situation that he could. He picked up the other reports, and beganlooking through them, carefully reading over what all the delegates had been discussing, looking for ways to take as much ashe could from all of them, andgiveback as little as possible. Butmore and more, itwas looking that no matter what, his people in the long run would be receiving the short end of the stick. And that did not make him happy. OOC: Dont worry about the cloaked ship for now, its simply an observer, and will leave everyone alone.
