Of all the places... If you were to name the two most vulnerable cities to hurricanes, guess which ones top the list. New Orleans, Lousiana and Galveston, Texas. I guess nature is going to try and take them both out in one season...

TIE Defender>Tie Agressor>TIE Advanced> TIE Interce

Sorry to say, the Tie Defender is not equipped with Proton Torpedoes... It has concussion missile tubes but no torps. -
Satellites going against the rotation of the earth do exist, but most of them are recon satellites due to the extra expense of launching a satellite with that orbit.

Well, in Episode III all the more sinister leaders of the Seperatists are dead. Grievous, Dooku, and the Viceroy of the Trade Federation. It makes sense that as the Rebellion got started they assimilated the remnants of the seperatists, after all they're both fighting the corruption that the Republic has become. They're war aims may be different but much of their political thinking remains the same.

Well, I suppose the fact that Mohammad waged a war might have something to do with the violent nature of fundamentalist islam. Then again one of his wives was a christian... how confusing. Also Koran is actually a valid spelling, as well as Qur'an. Most of the time I've seen translations its been spelled Koran.

Type of troopers for the imperials and rebels
Stellar_Magic replied to Jmaster3265's topic in EAW General Discussion
Those packs the Sandtroopers carry are more like a field survival pack, all the cooling equipment and filters are supposably built into the armor suit itself. Also, the squad leader with the Blastech T-21 carries a backpack generator for his weapon. -
Its a Massive Multiplayer game that exists in its own little universe. There's about a small galaxy's worth of star systems in the game, thousands of individual planets, tons of different types of ships, and every bit of it is waged in space. It's fun, you can hunt pirates (Both NPC and Player), be a pirate, a bounty hunter, a miner, a frieghter, a manufacturing guru, lead a corporation or alliance, form gangs... Basically this is what Star Wars Galaxies should have been (If we ignore completely the ground based part of star wars.) I've been playing it for a couple days and its got beautiful graphics, and realistic distances between the planets, asteroids, and stars (Which is remedied by FTL propulsion, it be cool if they could stick some relativistic effects in the game). The download is free, then you pay 12 bucks a month to play... My laundry bill is more then that! Go ahead and try it, just google EVE Online.

What was it Nitche sp? said... "Fellow Creators the Creator seeks, not mindless masses..." My personal belief is as follows, God creates a universe based on natural laws designed for the propogation and development of advanced intelligent beings capable of thinking for themselves. God delivers prophets and messengers to guide the races to moral thought and once there removes himself and allows them to develop on their own.

Rapora Wars: The Cycle of the Force (Subplot RPG)
Stellar_Magic replied to Stellar_Magic's topic in Role Playing - 1
With a blast of pseudomotion the Savla Claw of Revelation dropped out of hyperspace and instantly disappeared. It hurtled down to the planet, completely unseen, but not unsensed. To those jedi on the surface a cold sense descended, a quite dread, but they sensed nothing more. -
Rapora Wars: Stand Firm (Subplot RPG)

On the ground of Garos IV the GFFA troops waited behind their hardened bunkers as they watched the Rapora deploy before them. Thousands upon thousands of Droideka'kar war droids, Kar'Vanel crew droids, and Kar'Vanel'kar commandos. Behind the line of droids were the Rapora themselves, armed with plasma carbines, lightblades, and sabers they waited as the nanoreplicators assembled their heavier equipment. General Vien Snub watched the enemy through his electrobinoculars and smiled, "Are the weapons issued?" "Yes sir, the Pulse Disruptors are out." Lieutenant Colonel Bria Derlin answered from behind him, "I'm still not so sure about these new armaments." Vien nodded, "I understand your concerns, but the sonic pulse disruptor is one of the few weapons I can think off that will render the Rapora's utilization of lightsabers, useless." Bria bit her lip against the retort that sat at the tip of her tongue. Sullustant engineers had been working on the technology since the civil war, and only now had they produced working models, the first of which were going to be field tested right here. Instead she lifted her own electrobinoculars to watch the enemy. "Our troops are ready?" "Yes sir," Derlin answered. "Then give the order to commence the attack," Vien answered swiftly. In the trenchworks the GFFA infantry charged their disruptors and rushed out of the cover of their bunkers. Merr-Sonn PLX missiles crisscrossed the air hunting targets. The Rapora quickly awoke to the fact that they were under attack, and instantly abandoned the wait for their heavy equipment, instead they hastily formed themselves up as infantry, just as the GFFA forces began to engage the droids. The SPD-1As which the troops had been issued were stunningly effective, with a maximumn range roughly equal to the Blastech E-11s they'd been trained with they quickly managed to take down a number of the Droideka'kar war droids. The power of each blast was like a laser cannon when it hit an unshielded portion of its targets, but even against the shielded Droidekas the weapons inflicted damage. The shield would often turn the charged portion of the blast but allow the sonic waves from the bolt to pass through the shield unmolested. These waves would litterally rattle the target's molecules to a state where they broke apart into their component parts, but even then many of the droid's held fast, suffering blast after blast of damage. The GFFA attack quickly faltered, the Raporan droids were to good to match with even their own sides numerical superiority. The tide quickly changed as the Rapora got organized and began an envelopment. The GFFA retreat quickly turned into route back to the brestworks from wince they came. -

The Timeless One frowned at the holographic image before him, "I know this Ardar. I have no time to waste with you, report only to your immediate superiors from now on." With a flick of the wrist he shut the projector down and glared at the space where the image had been. * * * Commodore Athien's task force dropped out of hyperspace before Epsilon Base. Slowly Athien glanced at the comm and awaited word from Admiral Hirotek as to how successful he had been. -

Excuse me, the VSD I and Lancer frigate remain important units. The VSD 1 is the ultimate in orbital bombardment and missile assaults. Nothing can come close to the Lancer as a dedicated antistarfighter platform... -
SW Empire at War: Reality of Rebellion Mod

Well, I was actually planning on keeping all the new units for the game and adding some additional ships. As for who gets what ship... I'm thinking about making it so that ship types aren't linked to factions but are linked to worlds. So, if you're the rebellion and you capture Kuat you could build KDY facilities and perhaps even eventually ISDs. I'm also thinking that I'll make it so that any unit below Destroyer class can be purchased on the "Black Market" at highly inflated prices or you can capture the planet where the corporation that produces the unit is based (Corellia for CEC units, Kuat for KDY units, and Fondor for Rendili StarDrive units), construct some corporate buildings from KDY or CEC (Enabled by the possession of each world) and start churning them out yourself (A much cheaper option). -
You see him in a standard Imperial Uniform earlier onboard the Executor.

Rapora Wars: The Yaathkree Afair (Subplot RPG)

Calra slipped into the quarters they'd aquired, her legs trembling slightly, a subtle outward sign of the nervousness that plagued her. She glanced over at Councilor Valar, her heart beating all the faster. The last thing they needed were a pair of Jedi working against them. Valar's eyes studied her for a moment, "What did you see Calra?" "The Skywalkers are here." "Indeed?" Valar smiled, his teeth gleaming in the light. Then he stood and stepped to the door, "Come now Calra." "Councilor..." Calra began to say. "The Skywalkers are a dangerous foe, that is true. They are also an honorable foe," Valar grinned at her, "Come on." * * * Mara paced the room as Ben plugged R2 into the corner recharger. She glanced over to Luke and shook her head, "I don't like it." "I don't much like it either Mara, but the Imperials are our allies. We should at least help each other in unraveling the mytstery of the Rapora." Luke glanced at Ben, "Come on, its time for bed." "Dad!" Ben replied instantly, "Its only..." "Late," Mara cut him off, "We're not going to be running on Ossus time here. Go to bed." "Alright," Ben said in a huff. He shuffled off to the room that had been given to him. Luke sighed as the door shut behind his son, "How many bugs?" "Too many," Mara replied quietly as her eyes swept the room. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Luke's eyes flicked across the room. He had a bad feeling about what was going on. Mara opened the door and immediately froze with shock. She was starring face to face with a pair of rapora. Her jaw worked without uttering a sound for a moment before the Rapora spoke, "Masters Skywalker. I'm surprised that the council would be able to dispatch two such promiment jedi considering the state of the war." "We came of our own volition," Luke said quietly. "As do we all," The Rapora replied quietly, "I came here to speak of matters of peace, not war." He smiled as Mara and Luke exchanged glances, "You know as I do that the Rapora lack of the population to subjugate your Alliance, but at the same time we possess the power to wipe out your people." "What exactly are you saying," Mara asked quietly. Then she straightened visibly, "Are you threatening to kill us all in order to keep your meager gains?" "They only seem meager to you," Valar smiled as he turned away from them, "I'll be sure to the tell the timeless one that his old apprentice is as sharp as ever." He glanced at the second Rapora, "Come Calra." The Rapora smiled again, "You always were a sharp one Jade." -

Technically virgin births are possible, but the resulting child is always genetically identical to the mother, therefore a boy being from a virgin birth is scientifically impossible.
