  1. conflict with files, though it should be possible to edit in the sw ships into the campaign
  2. which game options and which map, it might just be a bad combination

I've always felt that the points should be key things like stations or resourcing points (the script could spawn the stations at the beginning or something so the map doesn't need changing) and the stations could be set to give the player some advantage (like calling in more ships or increased refining) what type of platforms would you suggest? its a big jump from the stuff like the heavy launcher and perimeter defense platforms to the XQ I agree, just need some suggestions, if it is civilian platforms I can do those at least in a simple fashion
  4. heh coming off of starfleet battles converted to starwars this is horribly oversimplified I've already started writing my own rule set, unfortunately it needs a computer to organize and calculate hits and damage in any reasonable amount of time

  6. the scales are as follows 1x1 fighters 2x2 corvettes, transports and frigates (millentium falcon - nebulon b) 3x3 destroyers and cruisers (ISD / mon cals) 4x4 SSD
  7. that is actually debatable, the actual quality of the shield generators is unknown, all we do know is that mon cal damage control and shield localization is better, the ISD may have a 'better' shield generator in that it recharges faster or something, though it is known that once it fails there is little if any backup.
  8. wow I never saw the last bit about the abandonment, I assumed they all got stuck in the strategic reserves in the deep core, like around Byss. can you give a reference for that quote (not wookiepedia, I mean official LFL stuff if possible) venators will be dropped from the imperial ship list, and replaced by the Victory II's Republic list will incude the Venator, Victory I and Victory II (I doubt I will add the Venator II simply because it seems to be a hull refit with slightly better shielding at best)

One of the big disconnects in the RPG stats is that the ISD I is about 25% better than the MC-80 stats, however the ISD stats don't figure in the large guns, as soon as that is added the mon cal is significantly out gunned I've added larger weaponry to the mon cals but the issue remains that the gunnery is never supposed to be as good, the mon cals simply have superior shielding and backup systems, I need to readjust the mon cal health and possibly change the fire rate a bit (their weapons work slightly different from the imperial guns)

    the crash is probably due to bad game type code, play warlords deathmatch instead of skirmish only the MC's got knocked down too hard i nthe last round of changes, the main problem is that I redid the weapon balance to bring the imperial guns up to the rebel guns, and the ISDs have a crap load more weapons of heavier calibre

  13. anyone else feel that the effects were really poor qaulity in this episode? and that the escape was completely rushed overall a good episode in general and gives the series some more room to manuver in as well.
  14. hmm I don't recal that, however you might be able to map the joystick to the panning keys, as for orbiting the camera I doubt you can do that since there isn't keys for it.

  18. the only tools you really need are the unfunf big extractor, cfhod and notepad, the rest of the tools are too limited and buggy to be of much use to general editing
  19. I'd wait on ships with ions, I am adjusting those stats, so the lornar will be a lot less powerful in terms of disabling power
  20. its a valid question, but I don't think it should be a problem, try switchign the order of CW.big and patch.big that is important don't need update.zip (i'm deleteing it now)
  21. the enginetrail lines are harmless, the error is probably cropping up because of the ordering of the command line C:\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -mod Planetpack.Big,SWSOUND.Big,SWMUSIC.Big,GENHODS.Big,PLATHODS.Big,IMPHODS.Big,REBHODS.Big,PIRHODS.Big,CORE.Big,FIXES.Big,CW.Big,PATCH.Big -luatrace -hardwareCursor make sure you have all of those files.
  22. I took that down because it was a pain to maintain, I may start it up again in a new format or maybe not.
  23. the video I did was at 1600x 1200 2x AA with shadows on, with fraps taking a half size (800x600) video it's a little laggy but okay, if I lowered the res to 800x600 I could have captured >30 fps
