  1. Just make it so that the pirates are "funding" the shipyards and that the are illegaly purchaising illegal vessels. The ships you use should be older, cobbled together ships, fighters should be obscure or patch-work. Look to X-Wing Alliance for ships. Characters will be a challenge, but when in need, make something up.
  2. I didn't think Zsinj cam in until Alliston started writing about Wraith Squadron. I don't think any of his book were actually about Rogue Squadron.
  3. I just checked out your website. You've been a lot of interesting places dinochick, and met a lot of interesting people!
  4. Free trade is inherantly good. Free trade wit hthe US on the otehr hand...
  5. I really hope that there are some community members who are able and willing to help in the project. The addition of a functional Star Wars RTS to gaming would bea great boon, expecially with the RTS games LucasArts has released to date (no need to name names here).
  6. I think it was Peurto Rico iwas thinking of. I agree that most of the continent is controled by the US, though that is because of their unwillingness to play fare. The Free-Trade agreement between Canada and the US is constantly violated by the US, simply because we can sell our stuff for cheaper, making thier economy suffer. If it's not good forthem, than they won't do it, no matter what agreements they've signed.
  7. I've always wanted to visit Switzerland and the surrounding countries, except France (nothing against the French, it just doesn't interest me). I visably shake at the thoughs of the WW II artifacts I could get my hands on over there...
  8. There was a laser that did that?
  9. Yes, I found JK II to be rather easy, with only a smattering of hard spots. I was dissapointed with Dessan.
  10. I think he should aviod making a third trillogy. He would piss off a lot of EU fans because of his disregard for established lore. Frankly, if it happens in the EU, he shouldn't be able to change it because he didn't create it. His vision stopped with RotJ (I know this contradicts what I've siad before, but I'm not talking legally here).
  11. I thought Cosa Rica was controlled by the US, like Panama. Maybe not openly, but perhaps covertly?
  12. Well, here's a picture of the Locks. I think it was taken in the 80's, so bear with me: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/locks.jpg Here's a better image: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/liftlock.jpg This is our "historic" town clock. Not too sure why it's historic, especially since they wanted to tear it down: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/clock.jpg This is the equivalent of Central Perk. It's a pretty nice place to walk, though the mosquitos are bad some times: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/jpark.jpg My University: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/trentu.jpg As you can see, we're not too built up, though the majority of the city is farther past the bottom ofthe image: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/gallery/6.jpg No, it's not Russia, it's Canada in winter: We were recently flooded out here. We were in a state of emergency for about two weeks. Here are some images of that: This is a truck stuck in front of my current place of employment. The water has receeded in this image. The driver had to swim out of the windows: It wasn't as bad as most floods in the world, but over $100 million was done in damage. Don't you just want to book your trip here RIGHT NOW? EDIT: Put urls for the bigger pics. Not all folks have broadband. -Trej
  13. Really, that much? I could send a book to Seul Korea for only $20. After I get my recently-ordered items, I'll see what I can do. Just spend $600 fora sword and gorget. Can't wait until they get here! All the talk about DF got me itching to play it, so I'm DLing itn ow. If it's good (I've never actually played it. Shame on me ) I'll buy it.
  14. Well, my home town isn't quite as impressive, Cain, but it's nice. I'm in Peterborough Ontarion, Canada, a small tourist/retirement (mostly the latter, though). We're most famous for the Lift Locks, the largest hydrolic locks in the world. For those of you who aren't sure what I mean by "locks", I'm talking the nautical kind that you find on rivers. We're not very big, only about 75,000 people, and we're about 45 minutes north-east of Toronto. There are realy only two links I can give you for peterborough. the first is the municipal website: http://www.city.peterborough.on.ca/ The next is the University I'm attending. Imagine me molding the minds of highschool students, teaching history and law. Guess I need to improve my spelling...: http://www.trentu.ca
  15. Romainia, eh? Your town seems quite nice. Maybe after I'm finished university I'll drop by:). Is there a great need for history teachers over there?
  16. I've seen Dark Forces on the jewl-case rotater in my local EB, but it has since dissapeared and I can't find another copy. The same can be said for any of the Rebel Assault games. While I'm not an advocate of downloading copyrighted material, if I can't find it through a retail source, I will download it until I can. I usually use Bit Torrent since it's the safest for users. If I find a copy of Dark Forces in EB again, I'll mail it to you.
  17. The closest thing you'd get to a FF Star Wars game is either KotOR or Galaxies.
  18. I have. My fleet is poised to attack Sluis Van, but without Fishface here, there is no one to lead the rebels... perhaps the Empire will win this one?
  19. When Thrawn returned the New Republic was just starting off (Jacen and Jaina weren't even borne yet) so the Empire still held most of the Galaxy. Also, Thrawn had his secret little empire, The Empire of the Hand, in the Unknown Regions. As for an exact percentage, I can't say. Thrawn is of the Chiss species, who control a large number of systems in the Unkown Regions. Their government is based on houses, or ruling families. I think there are five ruling families, though there are sub-families as well. Each is distinguished by the colouration of its members, and have relatives in every wing of the government, from beurocratic to military. Each family controls ships in the navy, though there is a generic Officer core that commands those ships.
  20. Erm, so is this finished or what?
  21. You could imagine that you weren't controlling the planets you "capture" but managing the black markets there. There is a whole bunch of htings you could do.
  22. I think Rebellion came out in 1996, as windows 95 was in its Plus stages, and windows 98 was to be realeased the next year..
  23. Thrawn would have realized that while SSDs have lots of firepower, they are inherantly weak because of thier size. Their size says "HIT ME, I'M EXPENSIVE!". Most commanders throw them into battle, thinking they will single-handedly win it. Thrawn would have used it sparingly, keeping it out of herms way whenever possible.
  24. The most informative thing I've gained from this is that Cain isn't a geek! He can't be, he as a girlfriend! *SIGH* Perhaps there is a chiss woman out there for me...
  25. Which one, the Spam Corps site, or the one above. I did look at the former (that is, the Spam Corps site), and I look forward to when the clan becomes active!
