  1. Did you see the part about resizing in my old model tutorial ? There I explained, that you have to resize the models to the actual size it has in the game. The XWA models are usually several times bigger than the whole tactical screen in Rebellion When you resized it and when it's at the center of the x,y and z axis in your 3D prog, then you can export it to 3ds and convert it with the 3ds2x tool from my site, with the command-line parameters I used in my tutorial. That should give a usable model in Rebellion Once you've done that, search for a post here, where I talk about uv-mapping. That's how you create textures for the models.
  2. You said it dude, so far nobody else sent me voice recordings.
  3. Haven't tried yet. I'm still playing Neverwinter Nights for two months now
  4. Umm, you should rather convert them with the opt23ds tool form darksaber's (darksaber.freeserve.co.uk or something. Google knows )
  5. Well, when I get a DVD writer on Saturday, I'll make sort of an ultimate installation dvd with everything I need to set up my pc. This one will be bootable (Nero, for example has that option) and it'll have all the nifty things, like my Partition Magic Dos-version to set up any of my pcs with just this one disc Cause I got a feeling, that my notebook will require some severe maintenance. It sometimes freezes up, or reboots while actually booting
  6. Maybe you can rig something with Macromedia' Flashplayer. After playing that fightgames with the stickman, I don't think programming a two-dimensional spacebattle is beyond the capabilities of that language.
  7. Who were you ?
  8. Ah, the sorrows of youth Had one of those, when I was playing the way of the exploding fist 2 and International Karate on my C-64. But that faded shortly thereafter.
  9. Ok.Kaja Yanar is a very popular half-turkish, half-arabian comedian in Germany with an own show called "Was kuckst Du ?" (translation: whaddaya looking at ?). Reading your nickname reminded me of him
  10. Sharing our knowledge and our insanity is something we're very delighted to do again and again
  11. Sounds goooood A Xenomporph inside Superman ? Must've starved to death, when it was trying to hatch, eh ?
  12. ME ? Hmm, as I said before I skipped that one, but since my 98SE CD was also bootable I'm surprised, that the one from ME isn't.

    Korriban

You know what they say: It's a big galaxy Hey, only another 50 posts and I'm the next Warlord here
  14. Sure, but for what game ? Rebellion runs on every machine I know. Except Linux/Unix/Solaris/.../Win 3.x
  15. When you write a new post you might notice the buttons above the box where you write your text into. The second to the left is called Img. You just click it once, insert an URL and click on it another time to close the tag. Although you shouldn't do that at all. We had serious problems months ago with too much "live" pictures posted. Try inserting a hyperlink rather. You can use the following format: link text goes here
  16. We all started this way But next time, ohhh yes there will be one, trust me, you can set the Bios to boot from the CD and insert your WinXP cd, which is also bootable. Although if you want to have your harddrive running under Fat32, you'd still either need to format it from DOS or use Partition Magic on a working PC with your hdd. My 120GB one was formatted in under 3 mins that way, I could've bitten my arse for not having thought of that years ago.
  17. Well, this is Gank's resort. But I'd advise you to phrase anything you might want to ask him in a more polite way
  18. Sure, but they'd have to be rescaled, retextured and shouldn't have more than 10,000 polygons, which I fear is the problem with most of these models
  19. Thanks, I'm also currently working on a version of the Action IV (the Nartistue). Btw, you don't happen to be ... ummm related to a certain Kaja Yanar ?
  20. I think I've heard of that one before. I think there even was a Batman Vs Alien comic. Also the one, where he partnered up with Spawn was quite cool

    Korriban

The big map from the DeAgostini Fact files also backs up Paul's directions. There Korriban is just "right" of Yavin & Toprawa and above Nam Chorios. About 5 times the distance between Yavin and Korriban lies Elom and about the same distance and a bit north is the Corporate Sector. Didn't you have the Fact files map, Scath ? I think you once posted a link to the Dutch version of it. Does that map differ from the one on Nav-computer.com ? If so, I didn't notice any discrepancies.
  22. Thanks Actually this is the first model I released, that uses a texture map. If you use vakundok's bmp converter to change one of the bin files back you'll see what I mean
  23. As always, on my site and on swr's download section MasterJojo, my pleasure
  24. Hmm, I've never played Rebellion online before, cause of my chronic lack of money, but it should work easier than with GameSpy. When you've both connected to the internet, open up a Dos Box (Start-Programs-Accessoirs-command prompt) and type ipconfig. This will give you two sets of Ips (if you got a network card as well). One is the local ip and the other is your online-ip. The online one is the one that, whoever's playing server needs to give to the one being the client. The client just enters that IP and should land on the server's machine. If you're one dial-up (also on DSL), then the online IP will be different each time you connect to the net. Happy playing !
