* cough *the name is spelled : M-A-S-K Jarod, if you go to the download section and get my first model replacement tutorial, you can read how I already described it there. While you're there, grab a copy of Resource Hacker as well, you're going to need it

Yeah, just keep it under 10000 and you'll be fine. * shivers * I remember the better part of a year, when I tried to buy that one myself, after Aaron Allston told me, I'd find a pic of Zsinj there. But some months later Trej bought the new essential guide to characters and they had an updated pic of him there. Yeah, I know what you mean. Mine started again today as well, or should've. You'd think it wouldn't be too much to ask for, that they told you one day in advance, that the only class for today will not be held ... At least I remembered my login

Hi, does anyone know of a working plugin (3dsm, milkshape, ... whatever) to convert the HW2 .hod files to 3ds or some other usable format ? After looking high and low I found some plugins for Milkshape, that wouldn't work with my 1.6 version and also not with 1.7

Umm, I appended it to the file, changed the byte at pos 4, but no DS showed up on Coruscant (small galaxy game). I also tried overwriting the bytes after the seed entry text with yours, but I couldn't get it to work, did I overlook something ?

G'day you two Woo, Krytos, that looks certainly cool. I'd make the outermost cannons on the back wings a bit more solid or blocky, that way the game will show them better. Same goes for the side fins on the bridge tower, otherwise it's perfect Were did you get this pic from ? WEG ? To be honest, I've never heard of that ship, except in eville's mod, so I thought the name was non-canon Texturing isn't so hard. With max you can detach the objects, apply a planar uvw map (size has to fit the detached faces) and a uvw unwrap modifier. Then hit the edit button on the uvw unwrap mod, and make a screenshot of the area. Next you load that screenshot (PS would be best) and make that image the bottom layer of your texture image (remember, the power of two resolutions for your pic) with a transparacy of 30-50%. Then you "just" paint your texture over the area, the bottom pic with your screenshot defines your boundaries and makes sure your texture will fit perfectly. Before saving turn off the transparent layer, then add this bitmap as a material and apply it to the detached object. Well, this routine works better for Homeworld For Rebellion, you have to create texture maps, so your single textures will most likely have to be resized to fit on a 512*512 (for example) image. You can rearrange the uvw coordinates with that edit button of the modifier and move them to the right place on the texture map in that window. After you're done with texturing, attach all the separate parts again (use the 2nd option in that dialogue, can't remember it offhand) and you're done. See, easy huh ?

Um, somewhere "above" on a previous page, I wrote the format, that would be best. I think it was stereo, 22050khz, 8bit, mp3 128kbit

Hmm, since I wrote the sourcecode and compiled the battlestations prog, I'm fairly certain, that I didn't make it eccentric. -Are you sure, that you didn't change anything in the Rebellion folder and with the files ? -Do you have an updated virus scanner installed ? -Is anything else behaving weird ? -Is your system running stable ?

Or even better: if they would finance you a state of the art laptop. For ... uh ... efficient working

Just some questions about this site.

* rushes to knock on wood * You don't really mean that, do you ? It's our home, you can't predict disasters like that for the place we virtually live in Oh, and I forgot: welcome to the site -
Patch Released
the_mask replied to Grand_Admiral_Thrawn's topic in Old Star Wars games nobody plays anymore -JI
* considers to finally get this game * bobandrubert, Battlenet ? Oh you mean the online multiplayer platform of Blizzard ? Yeah, too many cheaters there, you're right -
no need to. RebEd seems to look up the registry entries of the game. I've had it installed in a variety of folders over the years, but it always worked
-
Um, I hope I got the question right , so here goes: you can only replace existing units/characters, adding new ones is not possible, sorry.

Hi, if you hover your mouse over the Home link on top of this site you'll see a link to staff & history, that should be what you're looking for. We're indeed all still playing this game, since it's ... let's face it: addictive Although in this case, it led to something good: the development of new mods and other improvements for our beloved game. Stay a while, stay forever -
Hi, you're right. The card space update is only for characters at the moment, since it stems from the time, when I just discovered this technique. Until I can release something more complete you could try to edit the descs yourself with Resource Hacker. If you don't know where the entries are, download the Dll quick reference guide in the RebEd download section here, it's points in the right direction

Oooookay, here goes: Holy Woo ! Let's see, my favourites are the uniqueness of nature line, of course the StarWars pics, the new Golem (cool idea), her face and of course your fair lady Oh yeah, there's a small error in the print\digital section: if you click your way through the pages, one of them will produce a 404 - not found message. You might check the link of that one, otherwise smoking design, keep it up
-
Um, let's see ... the ranks are in the textstra.dll, in the str "folder" and a complete Star Wars galaxy map can be found at http://www.nav-computer.com (site seems to have a slight problem at the moment)

IIRC, the old woman's name wasn't mentioned anywhere, not even sw.com. But thanks to Jahled, I can show you what I meant with Anakin's force ghost. Here you can see, what I meant. Christensen looks more sinister, than kind and at peace. Ok, perhaps he can only do so much acting, but ... Why they erased the eyebrows of Sebastian Shaw is anyone's guess though. Perhaps it adds more to the Humpty-dumpty image
-
Besides, just think of the costs and with who's tax money they'd want to pay for it Nah, this military unit thing better not happen.
-
There was some talk about creating a military unit, much like the NATO, but as I said, I don't see much use innit. The Afro ? Good one I az got de perfect guy for de image on the coins

Hey SOCL, you found your way back here I have only zapped through the dvds yesterday, so I don't know about many of the changes yet, but this is what I can say so far. The '97 Jabba has been replaced by another CG version, although this new one looks more like the puppet in ROTJ (although, what's this green stuff on his back ?) There are NO Naboo N1 fighters in the battle of Yavin, regardless of the rumors from TFN. You don't see Watto at the end of ROTJ, although you see the street before the Naboo palace and hear a Gungan shout 'Wesa free'. BUT: they replaced the ghost of Anakin with .... Hayden I'msuuuuchagoodactor Christensen and his posture is nowhere near the kindness expressed by Sebastian Shaw in the old version. This young Anakin is of course against all continuity, since they show Shaw in the scene, where Vader's helmet comes off. More to come.

Well, some of you have already written, what I would've have, so I'm just adding, what's missing so far We aren't really being ruled by politicians anymore, but by companies and their interests form the basis for what the politicians, their Muppets, if you'll allow me the reference, do in front of a camera. Since these companies all work for their own good, they'll see to it, that they won't lose that much money with currency exchanges ... woops, already happened ..., or with things like trade-laws and such. The most disturbing thing for me is, that you can't really do anything about it, worse: you have to live in the system, play by these rules, so you won't drown (did I mention I don't like politics ? ). So, to summarize my rant : like it or not, it's going to happen, if for the simple reason, that we can't do anything about it. On the bright side, the loss of the view as belonging to this or that nation has its benefits, since as Thrawn already stated, we are all human beings. Well, except for Zoot EDIT: about that supposed new military unit, I'm against it. We already have NATO and UNO and why should you have so much military at all ? Just adding to the military might over and over again hasn't really worked miracles in more recent and not so recent history.

1) Yup 2) Sure 3) Try the cardspace update on my site (url's on the www button in this post) 4) take it easy

* waves a hand at dwr00 * Mask: "There was nothing wrong with the program, it has always worked." dwr00: "There was nothing wrong with the program..." Mind trick ? Aw come on, who would resort to that ?

Nah, just trying to give Thumper a headache with combining a line from Kosh with the structure of a Yoda-like sentence ... Although I do like the color

useless ? So, let's start with the beginning. Is battlestations in a subfolder of your Rebellion dir (like Rebellion\battlestations\ ) ? What does your ini file say ? What exactly in the helpfile is it, that you don't understand ?
