Or maybe worse...maybe it's--it's...a new reality show. 8O 8O

Now, with the 101st Airborne Division here at Fort Campbell returning from Iraq, all I hear night and day is the whine of cargo plane engines and the steady, loud, & annoying thump, thump, thump of helicopter rotors. Woo, the boys are home.

No need to get all bugged-eye about it, Scath, I am back to my old, normal--ARGH! F*CK! SON OF A MOTHERFU--self.
-
WHOA! When did this happen?!
-
Yes, thank you and no problem! No worries! I wonder why. Heh. Did I miss something?
-
Yeah, it's gotta be a bug. ...or maybe it's a feature...
-
Yes, but think of all the advantages we would have. Oops, did I type that outload--I mean...did I type that? Heh heh he--OUCH!
-
Sorry, what? Is that from one of the books, or are you getting the opening scenes of Indian Jones: The Last Crusade (the whip and lion scene) mixed up with Han Solo and Luke's bacta tank scene?
-
Does it really? ...well, now we know the true Grand Master of the Dork Side. That's right, Trej, only the true Grand Master of the Dork Side would know something like that.

Oh, if I only remembered what I typed on my last post in this topic. Well, since I'm in denial of being off-the-wall, I won't look back at the previous page and move on as if nothing has happened. Oh, the horror.

Yes, talk about bringing in the new year with a BANG! Oh, no worries, I remember you guys and a few other people, just not my local friends and neighbors. No worries, though, my memory is slowly, but surely coming back. ...though, do to hip problems from the accident, I have yet to remaster walking and remember how to drive.

Woo, what a trip. Everything was AWESOME! Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia (USA) is probably the best resort I have ever been to in the States! Well, like I said, I was supposed to have returned on the 2nd and sort of did. Want to know what happened? Well...on my last day (New Year's Day), I had just finished having lunch and left the Top of the World Cafe to ride a nice, easy blue-level (intermediate) slope down to the Widowmaker Lift so that I could get back up and ride the black-level (expert) Widowmaker Slope. So, here I am, strapping into my bindings and off I go down the slope... ...next thing I know, I'm lying face up, I can't here a thing, and a lady is trying to get my attention. Finally the sound breaks through, but I can't react, I simply lay there and move my eyes around. Yup, that's right, I had a VERY serious crash. I don't remember it, but the lady who found me near the bottom of the slope said the back of my board caught on a small mound of snow, and at the speed I was going, caused me to literally flip over backwards, making me land on my neck. Ski patrol started questioning me about my name, age, address, and such. I ended up feeding them information that was five years old! I, of course, knew my correct age, but I gave them the wrong home address, phone number, everything! I was rushed to a nearby hospital where it was concluded (after hours of x-rays and CT scans) that I did not perminantly hurt anything, instead I bruised MANY bones, strained a lot of soft tissue, and scrambled my brains up. Well, now I'm home and staying with my parents until I remember how to drive, where I live, my phone number, where I work, and so forth. Yes, I remember my name and such, but it's very creepy having people who are my friends come up to me and tell me that they are my friend, but never remember seeing them. By the way, I have a massive concussion, but the doctors said my memory should return over time...slowly. I do, however, remember SWR, my family, one or two friends, and...Kelly... ...though I hadn't remembered she had passed away until I got home and someone told me.... No worries, I'll be around.

I don't mean to double-post...well, actually...yes I do , but I just wanted to tell you all that I'll disappearing for a week or so. I'm going on vacation to West Virginia to spend a a while snowboarding and skiing. I've been planning this for some time...well, actually, it had been Kelly's idea... ...and I'll be gone until the 2nd or the 3rd. So no worries, I shall return! Oh, and since I won't get to see--err...talk to all of you tomorrow... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Fiendish British feline acts, statistics and smarts, and boring explanation & korrections ...together ... Heh heh heh.

Fool, what have you done?! You have only made his grasp on you tighter! SOCL turns away from Scath, who--by all accounts--is perfectly fine, and turns to a group of...people. "It's too late for our friend, Scath. We must leave him behind--" "Actually, I'm fine," Scath says, his tone tinted with confusion. "You see, he's already gone into denial!" SOCL says very dramatically, the group watching slowly getting bored and walking away. "Now we must find a new astromech..." ...whoa. I have no idea what that was all about. Sorry about that, I don't know what came over me. Actually, it was just me trying to be funny...again.
-
Indeed...heh heh h--OUCH!

Interesting to note that no listed any of the prequel SW movies. Just goes to show that my "little cousin/generation" theory is probably correct regarding the SW movies.

Thank you, Evaders, I was simply very insulted by what was said by R2-Opus2 and needed to get some points straight. Come again...

I saw the movie yesterday and it was great! Actually, great doesn't come close to describing it. I, a not-Lord of the Rings fan, enjoyed it thoroughly. I went in with my doubts (and fears...it's 3 hours and 20 minutes long!), but I came out very pleased! To move on, I want to comment on a few things I saw in the movie. If you haven't seen it yet: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! GO SEE IT! Well, and if you haven't seen it yet, you may not want to read on (some very minor spoilers to follow). First: During the fighting with the giant elephants, did anyone else think: "Use your harpoons and tow-cables!"? Second: When Legolas jumps up on one of the giant elephants and pulls a "bad guy" off the animals back, did anyone else notice the infamous scream? Third: Now, I must say, this kind of pissed me off. When the King of Rohan (however it's spelled) was dying and his daughter rushes to his side, there was a part where--word for word--it was Vader and Luke on the second Death Star! Fourth (& last): Frodo and Sam, finally get into Mordor (sp?) and are forced to dress in Ork (sp?) armor... All I thought was: "Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper?" ...so what does this tell us? Well, obviously, there were some SW rips in there and Director Peter Jackson is, it seems, a Star Wars fan. Star Wars is everywhere, my friends...even Middle Earth.
-
Well, we have a topic somewhat like this for books, so why not movies? Now, I'm sure everyone is going to post at least one STAR WARS film , but be sure to post other of your favorite films. No, this is not blasphemy, but if you insist: Name your second favorite movies (if you're that hardcore of a fan). Here's mine in no particular order: -The Empire Strikes Back -Return Of the Jedi -Jurassic Park -Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (anime) -Gladiator -A Beautiful Mind -Master and Commander: On The Far Side Of The World -Mobile Suit Gundam I (anime) -Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers Of Sorrow (anime) -Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters In Space (anime) -COWBOY BEBOP: Knockin' On Heaven's Door Okay, my list seems pretty, long, but it's the truth.

`Plan to go see it soon (maybe tomorrow night)! I'll come back and vote immediatley after!

I would probably...[sigh]...lose. A psychotic feline and...well...Scath...against me...forget it...there's no hope. ...of course, all three of us could secretly be allies.
