  1. --stares with bugged-out eyes at Mitth, looks around frantically, then slowly, slowly back away-- Mitth: "SOCL, what's wrong?" SOCL: "Never met...it?" --SOCL continues to back away in sheer fear, then turns and breaks into an all-out sprint...-- Doom, doom, doom, doom...
  2. I have a rather fat and stupid English Beagle. I was thinking about getting a kitty, but then remembered the last kitty I ran into (Jahled...) and, well, thought it over...
  3. My game was on a reinstalled computer lent out to a friend and, thus, I cannot access. So...SOCL, would you be kind enough to send it to me again so that I may have "Above" on this computer? I'm not kidding Um...sure, no prob. Just give me a sec while I pull it up from my laptop and tranfer it to this one, then I'll e-mail it out. Anyone else want a copy? EDIT: Oh, hey, since I'm doing you this favor, could you maybe figure out how to get the image in my sig to work?
  4. I have played Red Alert before and loved it. Isn't that then one where Einstein goes back in time and kills Hitler, stopping the rise of Nazi Germany, but bringing about an era of Soviet domination...or something? The only problem is getting my hands on a copy since they're rather old games...
  5. Let's revive an old thread, shall we? I'm actually still stuck in this game. I finally got inside and into the office and whatnot, but now I can't figure out what to do... And the FBI guys are rather scary...
  6. Yes - someone blows up! Really?! :D Do we get to choose who?! --eyes Scath and Trej, wherever he is-- It was hillarious! I showed my dad, a chaplain, and he was rolling! I remember first hearing about it on NPR's All Things Considered--surprisingly, they too were laughing. Is it true she did it to destroy the "good kid" image she said Hollywood had of her?
  7. Well, my laptop isn't too bad, I just feel bad cramming it with excessively enormous games. I felt bad when I uploaded Rome; imagine how I felt when I tried to run Half-Life 2 on it... Isn't that game a sci-fi, though? I'm hoping for more real-world vehicles and storylines and whatnot, especially World War I and II vintage... EDIT/ADDED: What about this game? Seems to be something like a third-person shooter, but also strategy? Any thoughts?
  8. I think it was actually 1 debate in about 3 different threads. Most of that was probably my fault. I am rather vocal about my opinions concerning your species... We couldn't tell...
  9. 7000 posts. You've got some time, my friend. Better to wait until Scath gets old and dies than wait for that far-off day. Hey, speaking of insanely huge post counts, does something special happen at 10,000?
  10. Hey, wow, sounds similar to my life! My girlfriend of two years decided to start sleeping with another guy in our last month, then broke up with me the day before Valentine's Day. Now, because I've moved away and basically started my life over, she's started accusing me of all sorts of stupid crazybad (yes, one word) stuff, none of which is true, so I'm having to deal it out in the legal system... Otherwise? Well, still looking for a new job and a new university--waiting for responses from George Mason, Virginia Commonwealth, and a few others. Hopefully they'll be as nice as the last place and also give me a job... Ooo, publications! What do they concern?
  11. Oh my! That game looks freakin' awesome!!!
  12. I am so out of my league, I don't even understand why I'm posting here...
  13. I am a Star Wars geek... Right. I'm the astromech, you're the geek. Something you don't understand? Hey, that would be rather cool, though--the part about doing a joint collaboration over the web, not the astromech fighting a geek thing...
  14. I agree, Axis & Allies is only good on the board. Then again, there was an Axis & Allies PC game that came out a few years back that ran a limited supply. Finding one on eBay could cost you upwards of $150! The new one is...well...sucks. I have Hearts of Iron II and it pretty much bit simply because it took too long to build armies and go to war. I mean, I'm just as bit interested in a deep, realistic game, probably more so than the next guy, but Hearts of Iron II was just...well...boring. I spent three and half hours playing the game and was still waiting to raise my first Infantry regiment. What a waste of money, I must say. Games like AoE2 and Rome: Total War are pretty cool, though I'm looking more towards AoE2 than Rome. The latter I believed suffered from a lot of what Hearts of Iron II suffers, as well as taking far too much memory on my poor little laptop (laptop computer, that is). I guess, something that is rather deep like AoE2, but not so deep that I want to shoot myself waiting for the game to figure itself out... If that makes any sense.
  15. Oh...well... That makes sense.
  16. Some members actually think they can get back at me... I say let them... I think Scath has a point, Mitth. If you dig long and hard enough in these threads, you'll probably find the numerous times Trej or Jahled or I tried to get back at Scath and had it explode in our faces.
  17. Hey there!! Great to see you again! Hey there, beautiful, how you been? It's equally great to see...um...read you again!... ... What's new, dinochick?
  18. Um...where's the rest of it? The mountains, the beach, the ocean? .... ...oh...that is the rest of it?...
  19. Lord loitnan...? Did I miss something?
  20. I would think it's more a question of time than money... I bet we could make a film like that as well...In point of fact, I believe in our case it would take more money than brains. Why, you ask? Well, there is that whole Atlantic Ocean problem... Besides, a Grand Vizier astromech fighting a Star Wars geek? C'mon...
  21. Oh, yeah... Ouch! The BEAK is strong in this one... And yet, Scath, you have the power to BREAK... Which I don't.
  22. No, I think he looks like Mick Jagger... BEAKed again... Man, I have got to get my groove back!
  23. Jeez, this is the most addictive thing I have ever seen online!
  24. Actually, truthfully...still no. Why does Scath have to be scared?
  25. I know that maybe this seems like an odd question, but does anyone have any recommendations for a good world-war strategy game? I mean, I know there's Hearts of Iron and Axis & Allies, but they aren't quite what I'm looking for. Rather, I want something similar to perhaps Age of Empires II where there are campaigns that follow history, but there are also fun "destroy everyone" games one can play. I doubt it exists, but if anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears.
