Well, I don't like to speculate before having the actual thing in my hand, but I'll go ahead and do it. What I've seen so far, I don't particularly like it. I think I'm going to miss the old blue print-like drawings they had in the original one. Along with that, if I remember correctly what the new ones look like, I'm going to also miss the blue print-like forward and side views. I just hope the information proves more valuable than the original one. Along with that, I hope they don't just put the Executor in, but just classify it as the class itself than just that specific ship (same for the Eclipse, but that's a special case, I suppose). I guess I make a better review when I actually get the book in my hands. What do you think of it as of now, Scath?

Well, here's the big question. If Australia, New Zealand, and Canada and are still technically under British rule, what would happen if the British government and/or the monarch suddenly decided to start exercising those powers of governing? I'm sure it wouldn't go over well with anyone, but would it be legal and/or would it be legally enforced? And, ultimately, would anyone take it seriously?

Well, that's quite true. Granted, I do respect what they tell us to do, I still think that there could possibly be another way around it, if not a way that would set easier. Not saying that we should be allowed to revolt, after all, it is their site, but at the same time we are free to express what we think/believe on that matter, and any other matter for that's the purpose to forum: the expression and discussion of matters and opinions/beliefs, is it not?

Well, yes and no (actually, no and yes, respectively). No, there have not been two republics in the SW EU timeline, there has only been one, the New Republic. The EU timeline, to my understanding, is everything after Return of the Jedi, so only one galactic republic then. Yes, though, there was a galactic republic (referred to as the Old Republic) before the Galactic Empire and there was a one (referred to as the New Republic) after.

Nope. Nope, but I was once nicknamed Santa Claus because of the SC. Well, I suppose that tells you that at least the letters SC are part of my name. Correct. Saul being my first name and my father's name and my grandfather's name. Nope. Got that from my e-mail, didn't you? Well, you are correct, but it's actually Cardonaa. So here's what you guys have so far:S = Saul, O = ?, C = Cardona, L = ?. Here's a few clues that probably won't help much: As you have probably all ready figured it out, SOCL are the intials of my name (it's so much easier using them than making up an alias for everywhere I go. This way if I'm part of another forum, it's always me . . . never seen another SOCL). Saul is my first name and Cardona is my first last name (my father's last name). O is the first letter of my middle name and L is the first letter of my mom's last name. Now, I know those clues were interesting, but I also know they won't help much . . . have fun! By the way, today, April 26, is my birthday! Yes, it indeed is my birthday! Happy birthday to me! Just wanted to share that with my forum brother and sisters . . . my forum family!

I know what you mean. I'll take it as it comes because, ultimately, that's the way it is. Of course, there's no denying it, we all have our wants and hopes that it'll turn out different. For some of is it's that hope that we won't see the Executor crash into the second Death Star, for others it's that hope of not seeing Solo frozen in carbonite. But it comes as it comes and, happily, it usually comes to point we can all be happy with (except the prequels . . . the quality of which is still in debate).

I feeling is quite mutual Scath. I believe, though, that hyperspace is the only realistic (that sounds like an oxy-moron) way we'll ever be able to conduct interstellar travel. I believe this because of a few factors: boredom and lack of gravity. The boredom of traveling from here to the nearest habitable system (even at a VERY fast speed) would drive you insane and probably kill you before you got there. Lack of gravity would cause your muscles to basically "shrivel" up due to the lack of need you would have for them. This happens to astronaughts and cosmonaughts quite frequently when they go in space and most prominently aboard the space station. A strenous daily exercise routine would be in order without any form of gravity. Luckily for us, the longest trip we have to worry about is . . . what(?) 8 months to Mars?

I see. Interesting. So what is Farscape? What I meant by the Zahn-Crichton comment (if I haven't posted it yet) is that I've, lately, been reading a lot by Timothy Zahn and Michael Crichton. Speaking of books, I--in record time (2 days)--finished Dark Tide I - Onslaught! It was great! I think it's Stackpole at his best and, in my personal opinion, much better than the X-Wing Novels he wrote. I just started Ruin and am VERY excited since, at last, we get a view at the Empire and one of my favorite characters of all time: Pellaeon! :D And as Grand Admiral, if I'm not mistaken! A very deserving rank for him!

I agree, though, that the Costa Ricans speak the best Spanish all around (even better than the Spanish themselves). You speak truth. I have begun drafting up a poltically correct e-mail to send them. We shall then see and hope. There were to world wars . . . there could be a second Zoot War if someone's master plan werer to be implemented incorrectly . . . Let us hope that once my master plan is underway, it doesn't mess up and cause the start of a second Zoot War . . .

Well, I wasn't that rude to the Rebels. I gave them the ability to use Victory-class Star Destroyers (Mark I's, to be specific). By the way, I was trying to change the "Imperial"-class Star Destroyer in the game to Imperator-class, but RebEd didn't allow me due to too many letters. Is there a way around this?
