  1. It's probably as hot as Puerto Rico, tropical and humid with a nice breeze. But then again, I'm speculating. And who better to answer the question than someone who lives there and who had the question addressed to them. So, without further ado. . . . . . . . . . . . Trej? . . .
  2. Sounds cool! Thanks, bro!
  3. Thank you, Scath. Nope, sorry. Keep at it, though! Indeed! Gasp! Are these words of insurrection and rebellion I here? I third it! Nope! Nope, but you're on the right track with the idea of it being a name! KEEP TRYING!
  4. Should I? As a matter of fact I finished Vector Prime about an hour ago in record time (within five days . . . and, of course, not five days of 24-hour reading). It was good, but as I expressed before, I thought some of the scenes seemed rather . . . well, stupid. For example, the scene where Han and Chewie are flying through Lando's Folly in the TIE Bomber and all the stupid antics that surrounded that (their being scared and all the chaos, etc) just didn't have me in the STAR WARS mine-set because, in my opinion, they seemed out of character. Along with that, I was annoyed to find Solo still talking about his smuggler days and how he still had old friends. That just seemed completely wrong. By this novel, Han Solo has spent more days as a Rebel/Republican (for lack of better terminology) than he has a a smuggler! For the grace of everything that is good and right, how the hell would he keep old friends from that long ago when he doesn't even talk to them and probably hasn't seen them since before his final Kessel run. I could understand references to such in the Thrawn and Jedi Academy novels, they were closer to those times, but over two decades later? Please! It simply doesn't seem realistic! Yes, the novel was good, but I am quite bitter and sore about quite a few things in it. By the way, I am now reading (starting today) Dark Tide I: Onslaught and am, already, almost a fourth of the way through the book. Looks like I'm going to have to make another book run soon. So Salvatore wrote the AOTC novelization? Hmm...perhaps I'll buy a copy (even though anything before ANH doesn't interest me all that much...but that's the same thing I said recently about anything post-ROTJ, so we'll see...) By the way, IMO, I do not think our discussion of the STAR WARS novel authors to be off-topic here since it directly relates to the X-Wing Series Novels. I hope that doesn't get me kicked out. By the way, when does the Empire finally make an appearance in the NJO? I'm starving to finally read something about them!
  5. Thanks for the answer to my question, Jaheld . . . it kind of cleared things up. But, jeez! It would be a whole lot easier to simply post the GIF in the forum than to put the link. I mean, the link screwed up the way the page is viewed. But with the new rules . . . I believe I answered Elvis' question already way back when I first posted in this thread, but to keep the ball rolling . . . I agree with you wormie, traveling amongst the stars would be far more fascinating than traveling from nation to nation here on Earth where every ounce of information about that nation has already long-since been pounded into your brain by the schools you were forced to attend as a child. Plus, if you hate where you are, you can move away . . . and I mean you can move far away to the point you surround you could very possibly never see those people and those places again. And, of course, you'll never have to worry about running out of places to visit. Wait a second, couldn't a question such as Elvis' be considered off-topic?
  6. No, Scath, I was actually referring to the Mulder/Scully comment; and the raining frog things simply didn't explain much concerning the Mulder/Scully comment. I'm bound to get shot soon . . .
  7. Well, the Madalorian armor goes back to a war called the Mandalorian War, which was originally suppose to be the thing that actually sparked the Clone Wars. The original idea had been the Mandalorians to be the clones fighting the Republic, but apparently that idea has been either completely discarded or been deverted into saying that the Mandalorian War took place separatley from the Clone Wars. But then again, this is recalling from information I read a VERY long time ago, so it may be anywhere from a little off to completely fiction. So, Lemelisk wasn't the original engineer of the Death Star?
  8. Have all of you gone mad? Get back on topic before we're all executed! So . . . what about Trej's avatar, ehh? Pretty cool.
  9. Shh, Scath. The walls have ears . . . 8O
  10. His most loyal subject? Have you forgotten a character by the name of Pellaeon, or what about Brandei, or Dorja, or Tschel? And (according to what you said) what about Voss Parck, Soontir Fel, Isard, Brosh, Stent, Dreel, Sorn, or the rest of those at the Hand of Thrawn? Perhaps if someone like Pellaeon had killed Thrawn your statement and comparison would be correct. How kind of you.
  11. Well, let's disucss the topic . . . Um . . . Well . . . . . . hmm. So . . . err . . . when does the book come out?

Hey, guys, sorry about the lack of posts lately, but my computer now takes any overly-long amount of time to load the forums (2 minutes as compared to It's pissing the hell out of me! Secondly, with the new warnings and the crack-down, I have actually become rather fearful of posting due to the higher possibility of getting kicked out. And, yes, I do realize that everything I just posted as off topic. At the old forums I used to be part of, I left because of the over-enforced rules, the fear EVERYONE had of getting kicked out, and the lack of any fun. But at the same time, they had a part of the forum that would be called "Lounge" or "Nonsense" where you could create threads about anything you wanted be on or off topic. Sadly, at most of those forums, those parts of the forums were closed down due to the webmaster's lack of liking.
  13. What exactly is it that you do, Elvis? (if you don't mind me asking)
  14. How does Hutt Illustrated relate to this topic? Well, of course, everyone knows that Drayson once worked for them! DUH!
  15. Interesting to see how everyone has suddenly changed with the present events in these forums. Some quick notes: Jahled almost left the forums, we seemed to have almost lost the whole Zoot situation, Trej seemed to yell at me back in another thread (about a conspiracy), and Scath trying to stay mellow (or so it seems). Interesting . . . So anyhow, do you actually think (especially in light of present events) that I could convince the admin to try and change the ranks and insignia to the correct and matching ones?
  16. Well, I still wonder: why is the tip invisble unless you highlight it? It kind of turns out like this: See! (highlight back)

Thanks, Andy, it's e-mailed and away! Thank you very much for hosting it, I greatly appreciate it! I just hope I'm able to use it in the future in these forums . . .
  18. Nope. Usually I would say "Keep trying!" but as of late, I feel uncomfortable posting and in fear of ending up losing my account for breaking a rule. This particular thread is probably one of the trouble-threads Evaders was probably referring to and that worries me. Simply put: I'm afraid to post for fear of getting booted out. But the O doesn't stand for of.
  19. They're not going to tell you.

Thanks! Post back when you find out if you have enough space, or not.
  21. I second everything Scathane has posted. Concerning the issue of the ranks and their insignia: I indeed have volunteered my time to help improve and correct both. I know the ranks for Army, Navy, and Fighter Forces for both Imperial and Rebel/Republic, as well as the insignia for both. This, being a brief post, I would also like say that I even though we sometimes get off-topic for a few posts, we usually tend to come back to it or end up discussing something related or just as deserving. For example, a thread may be created to discuss a certain novel and we may end up discussing the author of a totally different novel, but the mere fact that we are dicussing and using the stimulants supplied by these forums to spark new ideas and discussion (along with the fact we're using our minds) should make you guys quite happy. We may not be discussing what the thread says 100% of the time, but you can bet we're discussing something just as good and deserving as such. I also wanted to point out that a thread devoted to only one topic, never coming close to deviating to another that is closely related or our conversations would take is get pretty boring. That's one of the reasons I left the old forums I used to be part of and came here, they would not allow discussion of the topic and related ideas within the thread. Lastly, at this point I'm almost afraid to post because I don't want to kicked out for accidentally posting off topic (this was written without any sarcasim but with all seriousness intended). I think that such regulations can scare new members away. I know such because in the old forums I used to be part of, you were either a one of the "elite" in the forums who followed all the rules and were usually consisted of moderators, admin, and one or two older members; or you were a newbie and eventually kicked out for breaking rules that were too heavily enforced or you left because you simply couldn't get the "at home"/"friendly" feeling from the others. Here . . . well, it almost feels like we're all brothers and sisters.
  22. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I grew up in these forums around useless statistics and its master! It can't die, it simply can't! Post it in Outside Interests, Scath!
  23. Well, indeed. So, did we ever figure out the true reason of the EasterEgg? Conspiracy, perhaps?
  24. I must admit, it's one of my favourite threads! As is it mine. It's also quite long and could take a lengthy amount of time to sift all the insane antics and stupidity (as well as serious discussion and practical arguements) we've had in there. Great, thread, though. Always something new.
