  1. Wow this is pretty nice...lol so you can order them around? Nice...but a PS3 is still mostly just a cheap blu-ray player lol. Looks interesting, but I'm still not likely to ever get a PS3, or any console...gah why can't they ever make this kind of stuff for PC...I mean, buy a webcam and a mic...that works no? lol.

You probably have a hardpoint incorrectly attached (as in attaching to an incorrect bone); have two destructible, targetable hardpoints on the same bone; or you have the line of code which prevents it from dying after hardpoint death ( or something... its on the ZC Palace.) There is nothing wrong with the Venator, in fact mine dies 100% of the time when its hardpoints all get blown off. === Shields are used. Autoresolve stinks. Deal with it, unless you want to completely rewrite all of the Category_Masks and Autoreslove_Health, etc...

  6. is unused in ships with hardpoints except as a base health for stuff like the Hypervelocity cannon and Area of Effect blasts that damage the entire hull rather than the ship itself, so it can be anything and it generally won't affect it much.

  9. Actually, Right-clicking on it won't even show the third. Tried and tested, thank you very much. The hot key may be the only way to activated it, but I know for SURE the AI can access the third ability, but not the player.
  10. What are you talking about? The only things that don't have bump maps are like...the small props that are basically a cube! Even the larger props have bump maps! Without bump maps, they suck. And no, all the FoC models worth a damn have bump maps. Those that don't have 6 times as many polys as the XWA ones. Look, trust me, I won't take saying "you don't need it". You don't need skins for your models either, all you need is the base mesh and a few bones...now look, this is your B/CRS...notice the yellowish glow (I don't know where that's from), all the bones facing the same direction, and the general flatness of the whole ship. Now compare to the Crusader-Class Corvette (about the same size), whereas there is a sense of texture, even though the model itself is relatively flat as well below the circular things. Yes, its more work, but I do think the results are quite visible and worth the effort...a good bump-map will help the low-poly model look better! If you have a good high-poly model, the bump map may not be necessary, but the fact remains that the XWA models are in fact NOT high poly, but low-poly.   11. Major off topic but I play Pearl. lol. Its been sucking out my soul...still. Yes, avoiding the anime is necessary if you're going to play the game and not go "its so stupid, its a kid's game". Lol.
  12. Well hell of course the models need to be "improved" They're from X-Wing Alliance! You have any Idea how low-poly they are? the good skin makes up for some of that, but I'd really suggest you make a bump-map for them and a shadow mesh. Oh, also watch your Fire-Bone facing. they're all facing to one side = not good, it'll only fire say, to port, so be sure to rotate them to point where they should fire. Its not just nitpicking, its how it looks right, else you'd have it firing through the ship itself, and one side may be bristling with guns, but still be a total blind-spot. Or maybe use XWAUP models, slap on a good bump-map and use the base XWA skins, but thats not it. Just some tips to improve model quality. I won't go on about Damage Particles and Blast Decals, though those would look good too...they're just for fluff.
  13. Eh, the only XML you need change is Campaigns_Underworld_GC.xml Add Mara_Jade_Team and Kyle_Katarn_Team as a starting force for empire/rebels...its so obvious, you'll get it INSTANTLY when you open the file.

Right, I can convert models...I might convert something...if I knew what the terms on the tutorial meant lol. yes I do , well I didn't for a while until I got the new game then it came back. lol. I don't know why I'm making a new hero for the ZC, another fanon thing...meaning somewill ask me to write it on SWFanon wiki, and i didn't even start on the first one yet...how about, someone post it for me, I'll put the description in the XML for it lol.

  18. You can hear ALL sounds in space from turbolaser fire to TIE scream to Torpedo sounds to explosions! The truth is that in the Star Wars universe, there is...something in space that lest you hear sound. Or that it'll just be hellishly boring without SFX. (try playing EaW with projectile sounds off..*yawn*...imagine watching a movie like that *double yawn*)

  20. lol, I got 3DSMax 8, so I can convert warlords when I learn how to, but I won't. mainly because I can't be bothered. Might try later though lol. Or I may try moddeling...(won't go very well) And that Pokemon Pearl is sucking out my soul and calling to me as I type this *glances over shoulder @ my Nintendo DS*...I can't be bothered to do any mod work lol...   22. Why can't they kill off a main character NORMALLY? They never do that. It always has to be something grandoise, it takes a fricken moon to kill him off. Yes, I'm happy they did it or it'd be some kid show where its always a happy ending. I generally try to kill off my main characters in most stories I write in a normal way.

  24. Oh I tried that in Eaw because I had the source LUAs to edit to change the units not supposed to be in, but alas, it is not the case in FoC
