An excellent point! Carracks are very deadly when used en masse with some Star Destroyers. Not only that, but Carracks also provide the only starfighter protection the Empire gets at the beginning of the game (for the newbies: laser cannons are much more deadly against starfighters than turbolasers). Back to the point: ships will use their tractor beams against the ship they are targetting. The tractor beam shows up as a blue "haze" around the targetted ship. Depending on the power of the targetted ship, the tractor beam can slow down or completely stop an enemy ship...or it can do nothing if the targetted ship is more powerful!

I'm not sure where that command would be embedded. I'd love to see that changed, though. Who is our resident programmer?

Hmm...interesting take on this news story. What I've heard in the American press is these weapons would only be used if WMD were used on Iraq's neighbors, and they were considering 'mini-nukes' to minimize consequences and civilian casualties. I don't think you'll ever again see any nuclear weapon used on areas that were primarily civilian populated (like Nagasaki and Hiroshima). I think everyone knows that would be a terrible human rights violation. These 'mini-nukes' are supposed to burrow into the ground and destroy bunkers and underground military complexes...at least that's what I heard. My thought is nuclear weapons, even 'mini-nukes', should be a last resort weapon. The US has many other weapons that don't have the physical and political side-effects that nukes have. Conventional weapons can do any job that needs to be done. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of nukes...but I think they're a necessary evil to be used more as a deterrent than anything.

Unless there were more characters in Reb II! But think of the Imperials...can anybody think of more than one or two pilots in the Empire? Sure, the Rebs have everyone in Rogue Squadron, Wraith, etc. but the Imps would be pilot-deficient, unless some were just made up...Pilot VV-47, Pilot BN-29, etc. I don't like the idea of one side having more characters for certain missions...especially when the Empire would be at a disadvantage... LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!! Erm...excuse me...

That's the story I've heard, but I also heard the club was operating the second floor illegally (health code violation). BTW, I can't blame people for running when they got a whiff of pepper spray. That stuff is really powerful! I don't think there was really that much of a "chemical attack" scare as much as people just trying to get away from the pepper spray.

I know that! Commanders have to be on a capital ship...I mean having Flight Leader's assigned to fighters as stand-alone units! More tactics would be nice...BTW, does anyone ever assign fighters to protect cap ships? I tried it once, and the stupid fighters just kind of buzzed around without actually joining the fray.

I'm not saying I don't like the fighter, I just think with it's limited production, it shouldn't be included in the TC. It's a neat looking fighter, and has great stats, but it needs to fit in with the TC's theme. It could be supplied as an optional card, but then all cards available currently can be used. I'm just saying when the TC is bundled together for download, the C-Wing might not be the best choice for inclusion.

I think there should certainly be a limit on starfighters. I think we discussed this earlier, but I think starfighters should be treated like independent squadrons, capable of having flight leaders (instead of Admirals) and issuing attack orders independently (such as three squadrons of X-Wings being sent on an attack run on an Imperial fleet themselves).
