that doesn't beat my 356+ transports and over a cupple thousand ships left the game on auto run over night to see what ai would do. i lagged so bad i had to quit the game cause it froze. and the campain was OVER! (couldn't even get past hypro jump into space battle )

rome total war had the following experience upgrades general infulance in a radius around troops fatuige moral weather that effects fatuige, and moral. aka if rtw could do all that. the devs could have done just experiece.

just think of rome total war. if you've had a unit long enough to become 3 bar gold, then it was WORTH pwning anything the enemy could throw at you. (one legionary could wipe out a green army (sometimes without even being gold bar)) exp is EVERYTHING in rts games. this is no exception. exp would make your ships fight harder and last longer. making elite units hard to get and extreamly devastating in a battle.... and even maybe a mission to "distroy the elite ship" .... (not mission but game nessasity, kill them fast or die yourself) again exp is a must

broad side cursers pwn anything.... get 3 of them and you can just about wipe out the center of their fleet. even if it's capital ships.... though concussion is better vs fighters.... still does some effect vs other ships.....

^^ suport the above post. all depends on where the enemy is. also somtimes drawing one or two ships from all the planets is enough to give you a battle fleet big enough to defend a hot zone. and then once thats done relocating that fleet for quick counter action may lead you to victory. all depends on enemys movements.... i know i've left whole plants just open knowing that the enemy had no means to get there. (back door left open to help blow out whats coming in the front door)

when you hyper jump away damage seems to increase by about 10.... so be carefull

took the words right out of my mouth. you need to bomb it. and if you can't then send in a huge amount of troops to hit the generator. once the generater is down so is the shield and when thats down you can just walk right in

if you play age of myth (titans) you can command the units in the background when in mp as well.... it seems to be an occuring bug with most mp games..... anyways after many hours of waiting in aom:te you start to play around and those units in the backgound can start to do naughty things :

you have got to be kidding me. ever play Rome Total War? if you have then you know that compelete conquest on uber hard takes atleast 2 weeks maybe a month (depending on if you play ALLL day and super good it's 2 weeks) a month for normal players anyways if you try rtw with mods like rtr and such, then you can get games going that could take a cupple months +. nubian campain is the only one that took me more then a month though with that you start out with negitive cash , scatterd units, lots of land between your cities which takes forever to get an army to a weak zone. and your right next to the easyist nation to play (carthiginians) which makes it near impossiable to beat.... (BUT I HAVE!) sorry to rant. but it's just funny to hear someone say that

me either :-\ though i think he is just trying to state how good corrvets are vs fighters. and how people should have 3+ of them in each battle squadren. in my mind i use corrvets as fighter. may sound odd but they last longer. do more damage. and are only a little more money. well worth the extra cash if you can afford it!

ya... if your wanting to mine farm. use either the west outer planets. i had a whole row of them with all mines. and got +10k from just 5 planets.... when i started to pick up the pace i just started throwing money onto the rebles..... i litterly just out produced them by even half way through the game.... acc pwns so much

you should make certian planet types. having two of one type of building really is the best way to go so make a planet of all barracks one of all factories one of reserch.... ect.... but i hope your right about pirates. other wise this would get boring fast

i was talking about your fireing was more accurate when you attack hard points. not how much overall damage it does

^^ so basicly build up ;D - I personally would go buildup with the imps and hopping (<---that sounds kinda wierd :) with the rebles. main because if i was the empire i'd want to get my AT-AT asap and if i was the rebles i would have a good ossortment of (fast) ships at a relitivly low tec, which would let me planet hop better. more views? i know we all got to decide at one point.

i've noticed you get more acc when you attack hard points... anyone else see this?

just so i know what do you people this is better planet hop (which costs money to build raiding forces and mass defense, but gives alot in return) or build up (which means you get a few stragical plantes and build up a strong defense for a huge battle) planet hop would gain more money, but would leave you extreamly open for a all out counter attack. while a build up would allow for less money but better units in a more confined area allowing you to take out another planet hopper somewhat faster... your views? anyone?

were just proving a point. this could also be shown in the orginial demo. lets say only 3-6 planets are in play. and your enemy takes over the space for ALL of them. now you may have land forces on all those planets (except one) so now the enemy have a huge space force, yet no land forces to even take over one planet. but you have huge land forces and are traped from building anything space related.... see the error?

thats the point. lets say your losing. bomb the planet and you can come back with more units and win. orbital bombing would be like a DS but just keep the planet there
