Trust me (I've done this a lot XD) if you're gonna import XWA models, import ones from the upgrade and mod sites, cuz the originals suck...really badly, lol. There's lots of killer XWA models out there if you look. ;D -

Just make it developed and mechanical (no natural features, just artificial structures). Kinda run-down and not nice like Coruscant.

Unfortunately, emulators for the Next-Gen consoles (starting with Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox) rarely work, if they even exist. You're better off just forking over a few cents for a Gamecube or a few dollars for a Wii if you want to play Gamecube games).

Ugh, it's sorta like KotOR but the characters attack way after you press buttons making combos hard and overall combat/movement very stiff and clunky...aside from that it was pretty cool.

I assume by "remaking" you mean porting. Remaking it would be one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard...then again I thought it kinda sucked so I think porting it is a bad idea too...

Have you tried opening that mission in the FoC Map Editor? Maybe the properties were changed from the default for that map...
