Im still waiting a bit longer to see what ATi has to offer.. (if you want a card that lasted long you should have bought a 9700 or 9600 four years ago.. or five, i dont remember ^^) Ill buy whichever one looks more appealing, however with this new comp, If i do decide to go ati again im going to have an AMD proc. Nvidia chipset, and an ATI GFX card.. (intel got denied ^^)

If you have AGP upgrade to either 7600 (dont remember which one was AGP .. might be GT) Or an x850 pro X850 is faster but 7600 supports shader model 3 (which actually doesnt matter since they look exactly the same, its just a bit more efficient than SM 2.0 PCI-E either stick with what you got or get a sub 200 dollar one to wait for Dx 10 mid range cards mid year. Maybe x1950gt or equivalent (199 dollars.. some may be more but ive seen some for 180)

yeah i know thats another hamper to this, the entry, the eclipse might be a little easier than the DS 2, making it a unit. You know what would be cooler, making the DS 2 the level 5 IMp space station ^^ -

I could help you guys convert some.. and release the max files / converted DDS textures.. but if i do i may have to wait on some models since im putting some in mods

Well both are good.. .. I use both.. . firefox is okay... i just hate it sometimes how if its not a common file it tries to display the file textwize.. like all the code n stuff.. and wont download.. (like links to Rar files) and sometimes crashes Firefox... I find that really annoying..-.-

Use the "max 8 exporter" then extract the files from shaders.meg (they should be FXo's) then use those in 3ds max 8 rather than the standard shaders.. then export.. works fine exept for any Rskin shaders.. Those dont work.. but all the others do (so unless you do animation with a skeleton.. you'll be fine)
