  3. I havnt seen a topic on this.. buy my inbox has recieved an email from fileplanet and it says that a foc demo is to be released.. Anyone else gotten this? It says demo release date october 6th.. and foc will be released the 24th hmmm ^^

  6. yeah the specular is in the alpha layer .. its a spec map nonetheless Also the size of the shadow mesh only applies in certain situations.. An example would be like a cube.. with another cube as its shadow mesh.. If both are the exact same size and everything you will get a perfect shadow.. Now if you have the shadow mesh being bigger than the actuall model you might expect almost all the model to be shadowed , and it would look bad -.- So if your shadow mesh isnt exactly the same size.. i would advise you to shrink it down a bit.. unless you have a reason for keeping it the way it is.. or increasing its size But a shadow mesh that is too small can look bad too -.- But yeah shadow mesh is what gives units their shadows on the ground and ect ect.. so you might want to check yours out or give us apic of how its set up so we can help you better
  7. Do you have a shadow mesh? HOw big is it in relation to the unit? How is your specular map set up?

  9. no.. quite a few people know... I just dont happen to because i dont use engine glows anymore... I know a few people who do know.. but.. who knows where they are atm
  10. My tutorial does not show how to resize engines.. so that doesnt work Yes its in the hex edit.. I myself have never tried.. as im steering away from using engines.. But grab bails SSD engine then grab the Y wing engine.. and find out whats different.. that should be the resize. .since they are the same particle

  12. I already have some units in this company mode .. You willl see the disadvantages of this on units with turrets or big units that have turning animations.. .. its a nice change though

  16. 4 Autoblaster Cannons (12 Shot burst with poor armor penetration) Its just better for infantry in my opinion.. .. like having more lasers.

  19. but to know which ones to edit u need to look at the thing u want to edit's XML file and look for TEXT_unitname_text or something similar .. its near the beginning of the unit.. its like or something like that.

Personally maybe having a few "power" hardpoints on the ship that make energy recharge.. .until dead. if u had a whole bunch of ion cannon frigates this wouuld be a nice target with y wings maybe a sensors hardpoint.. a bridge .. and all other types of ship systems I thought they disabled its ability to turn.. So the british had luke with them eh
