I've seen a flaw in your plan. If, in the course of events you try this online, you may find that the Rebel player has many fighter squadrons on all of their planets (if you can indeed station fighters on planets). All they would do is sit back and let you have your DS because to try to use it against them would be folly unless you had a lot of TIEs and other anti-starfighter cruisers to repel them. It would probably work against the AI though.

What cutscenes did you have in mind? Maybe when you are invading a planet there would be a cutscene and in it there would be the video of dropships (and acclamators) dropping down to let out the troops and vehicles?

That's very true. Think how much an Imperator-class Star Destroyer costs. Then think how many crew members are on a Star Destroyer. Finally multiplay that by three and you get how much money he costed the Empire and how many people died as a result. In our terms (US anyway) it would be involuntary manslaughter, but on a massive scale. Yes, he deserved to be executed for that. Incompetence will not be tolerated

Yeah. I mean Han found Kyp Durron, albeit in EU. If Kyle can detect new heroes then Han/Chewie should also. Maybe they are using them more as smugglers and unofficial Alliance people since the tech. only goes up to Yavin, and they did not officially join until after Yavin?

Agreed. And I like Rebel Starfighters. Oh yeah and I like young jedi too not old sith guys that look like they're on their last legs (although I admit Obi-Wan does as well )

Yeah that kind of thing tended to happen to those who screwed up under Vader's command. Anyway I believe that if vehicles are not allowed to pass into the shield, then the generator should be outside of the shielded area so that one person cannot just camp in their shield area.

Well that is..... well unfortunate, units don't make a game for me, its the small things like this...I was hoping for the ability to divide my land forces into two while one attacks from the front the other flanks. Now when I want to attack something all my units will take the same path, oh well Sparky So just take your units and divide them into task forces and use waypoints to have one attack and the other(s) to flank.

I think they raised the shield on Hoth after they realized that the Imperials had found their base.

Yeah I also wonder how many weapon types you will get to choose from for hardpoints. I hope you can add quad laser batteries.

Well I think mission profile would depend on how the person used it. Some players would use Venator's as fighter carriers, while others may use them as frontline cap. ships to engage directly in combat instead of waiting back.

Thats the problem, we live in s society that tolerates and even agrees with idiots like this and worse. Even so, I don't think making him take a nap would have been the best desicion over something lke that... I would've been up on assualt charges and sued for more money than I had anyhow. To be quite honest, I gave up on humanity back in 7th grade. As to avoid a flame war, I won't say why I did so. Anyways, I always keep a good degree of pessimism on about everything anymore. So, back on topic... How are they going to answer questions? Is this going to be a free for all or what? I mean, its not like you can raise a hand for them to call on you or something. I don't know, because I have never done one of these before, but I imagine that people submit questions (live) and one person selects the "best" few and actually asks them on the chat. Like I said I don't really know.

c'mon people just because the SSD wasn't in doesn't mean you need to be skeptical of what a Petroglyph employee has told us will be in the game (or at least alluded to it).

sure. Q1. Will there be an SSD? I seriously hope that no one asks that question. I will probably log in and watch/read it, but I don't really have any questions that I want to ask. I trust that Petroglyph is doing the game the way we'll like it and creating a great RTS that will be played for many years from now.
