  1. If you look at the shot of the "interdictor" you'll notice that it has the regular SD bump in the middle back on the bottom. I don't believe that the Immobilizer interdictor cruisers had these SD bumps on them.
  2. Yeah. I thought they said you could customize hard points too (manually pick what goes where), but oh well.
  3. Yeah and more than a little...especially this part: "But from my experience, if the currents persist, you'd probably be persuaded to follow their orders. And I didn't like that sensation. At all." Doesn't sound like something anyone would want to try. Plus some maniac will probably try to take over a person with one of these devices. It's just that kind of sick world these days.
  4. Lol. I'm planning on skipping my afternoon chem. lecture. It's really boring and it's all been review so far. EaW is much more important.
  5. The CR90 is the Corellian Corvette and it is on the list.
  6. Here's the topic you are looking for. http://swempireatwar.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=841
  7. What's a myth? You can select weapons for the hardpoints on the ships. Those hardpoints are able to be specifically targeted by attacking ships.
  8. Um...No. The tech. timeline only goes until the Battle of Yavin. Also you only play until the Empire is defeated. It won't be like in EU where the Empire will retain some of its holdings and the Rebellion turns into the New Republic, just a total eradication(spelling?) out of either side.
  9. When you buy the ISD you should get the first set of TIEs at no cost. If you have to replace them, then you should have to pay for them.
  10. It also depends on what aspect he is referring to. In the space battles, I dont think that there will be a problem like that since the ships can float above and below each other to fight. On the ground is a different story, and is the main question you are asking I think. Either it is like you fear and only the "group anchor" units will move in range and all others fire if they lucky to be in range, or it is a mash where every units pushes and shoves each other to get in range, spliting, messingup, spreading out, or otherwise messing up your nice formation. Either one of these will cause problems and it will be interesting to see the subtle ways in which the unit movement and engagement AI will handle things. Yeah. The games where the first wave of units stopped to start firing, then got pushed forward by units in the back of the wave were frustrating, especially when attacking a building that shoots back. The range of the units attacking is greater than the range of the building's firing capabilities, but units get pushed into that firing range causing me to lose units. I hope EaW doesn't have this.
  11. It's too bad Luke didn't know how to force push very well then. All he would have had to do was *push* and then he gets rid of his father. Of course that would ruin the Star Wars universe because Luke would probably turn to the darkside in EP 6 without Vader there and his love for his father. In a way Vader kept Luke from the darkside by not letting him kill the Emperor.
  12. I'm curious as well. Last week it was said that we'd have them in a week and the week is almost up. However they may have been delayed as Petro is very very busy.
  13. I think that he may mean that when you build a SD that it comes with its complement of fighters and bombers without you paying extra. One question Delphi: Can you specify how many squadrons of each for every ship you make? IE have some with 5 squads of fighters and 1 of bombers or 3 of fighters and 3 of bombers?
  14. There is no ranking system that I am aware of. We just play together as a casual group of gamers.
  15. That's what I thought when I first looked at it.
  16. Yay! A new trailer is coming. Hopefully we'll get to see some new units in action and see more cool battle sequences on the space level and on land.
  17. I think the Emperor wanted Luke to supplant Vader as his apprentice. He was disappointed that Anakin had been in the lava and was now a machine, but with Luke he might have thought that here was one of equal power and that he could turn him into his apprentice like he did to Anakin. Just a hypothesis.
  18. Firstly: Calm Down Secondly: Watch the videos and see how the fighters go about dogfighting.
  19. I'd assume yes. Petroglyph is trying to make this game as available as possible to as many gamers as they can, so if you can play more recent RTS games you should be able to play EaW on decent settings.
  20. Then many people would argue that troops are almost useless because a vehicle can run them down. Rocket troops may be some use, but this will add strategic depth by forcing the players to put infantry out of harms way.
  21. That's true, but I think all of us Star Wars fans think force choke whenever we think of Vader executing someone... at least I do.
  22. Do you know what the specs of these machines were? Can you tell us...?
  23. *back at you Read the books and you see that there is a cone that can be escaped. In the trilogy with Thrawn Luke tries to escape an interdictor by trying to get it to overcorrect and therefore let him get out of the gravity cone it projects. The only way you can guarantee no ships can leave would be to get several interdictors to focus their cones to block all hyperspace routes out of the area.
  24. That would suck so bad if the Empire also got the X-Wing. I don't think it will be an Empire starfighter though (more like hope). It doesn't make sense to give the x-wing to the Empire when they already have TIEs. Not to mention that it goes against the Imperial ideals in a starfighter as it is expensive, has shields, and has a hyperdrive.
