I didn't get to play any space maps. However I'm going to review it anyway. Surprisingly the gameplay is very similar to Battlefront 1 . If you enjoyed Battlefront 1 then you most likely will like #2 as well. The heroes are a neat added feature, and yes in the hands of a capable person can be devastating. If you want a game that is similar to Battlefield 2 then this probably isn't the game for you. There are a few vehicles, but the gameplay mostly centers around infantry. A few well placed rockets kill off most light vehicles (it takes a lot to kill an AT-AT). Overall it's an enjoyable game with a few bugs and fun gameplay. The graphics are pretty nice, but are not amazing by any stretch of the imagination (a slight improvement over Battlefront 1), but it looks decent on a good system (mine and I didn't say that to brag). Multiplayer is very stable although there is some lag and there are lots of servers. My rating: 8.3/10

If you watch the new trailer at about 0:40 you'll see the battlefront like spawn areas. If you haven't played battlefront then look for a hologrammed rebel logo projected up off of the ground (bright green).

Don't be so hard on yourself. That would be a great strategy for a retreat. If you find yourself outgunned by a fleet that comes to one of your planets that happens to have an asteroid field around it, then escape through the asteroids. Chances are that the enemy may follow you, but if they don't then your fleet escapes without significant loss (to asteroids).

Lytyr you are dead on when you say that the shot goes by the SD. I just watched that part of footage and went frame by frame. The shot goes by the SD without touching it and then the SD explodes.

Heroes should die and should stay dead! I don't want this to be like BFME (a fun game to be sure), where you could respawn your heroes for a fee.

I was playing Battlefront 1 online. I accidentally went too close to the Sarlaac and it picked me up. Instead of eating me it then proceeded to toss me from one of its tentacles to another for 3 minutes until the round ended. I was not given a death either.

Yeah that's a really big flaw in his plan. All you have to do is not follow them into the asteroids and they have to come out eventually or they'll all get blown up by the asteroids.

no no, in the new star wars eu book, some of chewbaccas hair is found floating in space around that destroyed planet. The evil ones take his dna and clone him making a huge chewbaccain army!!!!! man I could write for EU. Man I thought some of the stuff writers came up with was dumb, but this tops it all. Well Generals by itself costs about $20, so getting 11 more games for $20 is a steal. Especially because it is C&C.

Twi'leks would never even get to put on a stormtrooper helmet. Stormtroopers are all human males (at least there is no evidence to combat that). Very few are the women or alien species that got to serve in the Empire's military. For discussion sake though a twi'lek would have to cut holes in the back of the helmet to accomodate their lekku.

One more registered user to go. I might add that I just finished modding our 100 player version of EaW. Provided everyone's pc is at least a P3 we should be good to go.

We have another strategy game from the Warhammer universe this time not Warhammer 40k. Looks very nice, although I've never played the table-top warhammer games. Going to keep my eye on this one. From the angle I'd tend to agree with you Stellar. There is no way that shot could have come from the Neb. B. because if you back track where is comes from then there is no way it could have fired it and gotten that far ahead before the laser hits. Also the angling is up and to the right, which would make it possible that it came from the surface of the planet.

That made me laugh for a while.

I need to mod our 100 person multiplayer version of EaW to a special 300 player multiplayer version of EaW. Let's get ready to rumble . I get Fosh and Nightmarekato and Ghostly on my team. Props to Petro for taking the time to make us such a fun game 3 more recruits until the party. Darkmark you'd better find that piece of pizza you were saving... PS. I don't understand what your saying or mean.. It's self-evident what he is saying Jmaster. He's asking whether anyone knows how the game would react if some way some how two fleets bound for two separate planets managed to arrive at precisely the same time. As for answering it, I'd say that you'd play one battle at a time and then move on to any others that occur at the "same time". I do not have the official answer though and my idea should be taken as speculation.

I voted Rebel because of fighters, but if Chiss are in then I'm with Fosh.
