  1. Well I got the game. It's a pretty nice add on. As opposed to popular rumors you can pick up your zip line and re-use it in the same life. Just by using 'g' and this goes as well for the grappling hook.
  2. We saw the raclaw in the first offcial trailer so i surspect we can. If we can then there would be somthing like an animal training building or unit that tames the creature/s on the planet. Did you mean rancor by any chance? Anyway I don't think that that is a part of this game. The indigenous life will be there. Low intelligence animals will probably attack both sides (rancors) or would just be peaceable (banthas, tauntauns). The more intelligent species, from the FAQ that Rogue made on the LEC forums, will be able to be "wooed" to a side or maybe even lend aid to both sides. I took that to mean new alien units available to your side, but I'm not sure that that is exactly correct.
  3. *You should check this game out Ghostly* This is an RTS game that allows you to play as a hero unit and cut a swath through your opponent. I believe that somewhere it says that you can do a mode where one person controls the hero and one person controls the RTS aspects, but I'm not totally sure. Anyway it's a somewhat innovative approach in my opinion (I personally haven't seen games trying to do the TP/FP and RTS combo yet. Well none that are out yet anyway.)
  4. Uh oh. I find that demo question somewhat ominous. Oh well as long as they release one before February I'll be fine. I also found it confusing where Rogue talked about the gameplay options. You would think that the campaign would be the open ended rebellion-like game instead of it being a mission based campaign like in most other games.

    The Dark Side

Lol. I didn't turn my sound up when it told me to. So it wasn't very loud (must have been my force instincts ).
  6. Actually I'll give you guys the real reason for the lightsaber. For some reason that picture of the cover has a weird colored lightsaber, but on the cover of the actual book (that I own) Luke has his green lightsaber. I guess it's just some discoloration thing or something. Here's the cover on my book: http://images.darkhorse.com/darkhorse/downloads/desktops/swdarkempire1/swdarkempire1_400.jpg
  7. I voted for none, not because I hate consoles. Just that I usually play RTS games and the best platform for RTS's is the pc. Not to mention I browse the web and can write my college essays on a pc. So I use the PC because it is most useful to me. (Not to mention I am poor )
  8. Yeah. TIE Scouts do have hyperdrives. Here is where I found that tidbit of information: http://www.theforce.net/swtc/tie.html#tiesr As far as whether they will have hyperdrives in EaW, I'd say that it's safe to assume yes. (It would ruin their use if they didn't)
  9. Ok folks let's get back on topic. Let it be known that NO ONE is to flame any other person on this forum or the appropriate mods and/or admins will be informed and consequences may be dealt out depending on the severity of the infraction(s). We want this to be a friendly forum for all people. (finally got that off my chest) On topic: I voted that the graphics were excellent. Why? Because graphics do not matter as much as gamepley in my opinion. However I do find the graphics nice and as Megajames noted I think that the blockade runner looks very crisp and nice. (see avatar)
  10. If there is a cinematic portion of the game (recording battles) then it would be cool to be able to watch the battle replays from the bridge of one of your ships in the thick of the fighting. I don't think they'll add a bridge cam., but I hope that they consider adding it to an expansion.
  11. Maybe at the beginning of each campaign as the rebels you get to decide what ships you start out with. Like say you get a cap of the combat effectiveness total of all your ships, but you get to pick how you use that cap. P.S. Megajames: Your post count has gone up 40 since I was on 6 hours ago. Most of the posts I have seen have been one-liners and/or off topic. Fosh has already warned you about this, so I'm just giving you a friendly nudge and heads up. I know you are enthusiastic, but please try to keep from posting every little thought that you have. Thanks!
  12. I agree. The BFME worldbuilder was rotten. There was so much stuff and no documentation to help either. I once thought I'd try to make a map and messed for 5 minutes and gave up. I think Petro will give us a good editor.
  13. I think that they are making sure that BF2 is going solidly and then they will release more information. It is surprising however to see them still not giving out more information (unit lists etc.) even three weeks after the release of BF2. With the demo supposed to be out in December they (LA) need to start giving the information out and soon at that.
  14. I never said that it was in Dorkhunter. It's just that some people say they want the ability to have simultaneous fights on different planets.
  15. Well yeah. After they had rewired and done some repairs because of the effects of the ion blast they caught. I was just saying for the purposes of battle that if your side won and you had disabled a couple cruisers then they would be easy kills. After a while the crews would be able to repair their ships and join combat again.
  16. Ion cannons will be very powerful weapons. As seen in ESB the ion cannon took out a SD. No, I'm not saying the SD was destroyed, but it left it pretty much dead in space. A ship that is dead in space will eventually be drawn by the planet's gravity and burn in the atmosphere. Since that's not in EaW (gravity of planets: at least I don't think so) it'll probably just disable the ship and make it an easy kill.
  17. Darn AI they can see the whole battlefield at once, they can organise their army in a second,... That is exactly why I didn't think there should be simultaneous battles in the campaign on different planets. Sure it might be fair with two humans playing each other, but when you're playing an AI and they can be omniscient and control both battles it would be rather unfair (IMO) to the human player.
  18. The LEC forums are down. (I couldn't connect either) Hopefully they are getting some much needed maintenance.
  19. Well I can see that I am in the minority of those who thought Force Commander was actually a decent game (I didn't say great). I still play it from time to time and find it preferable to SWGB. Not saying Focom is perfect, just that it's an ok game.
  20. Hehe. I'd clone him and put him on all the planets you own. Then you'd blow up all your planets.
  21. Never have played the tabletop games for Warhammer, but this game looks very neat. I like the customization of armies especially.
  22. *Laughs* I saw that on a game preview thingy (EBgames wasn't it). The guy was raving about how cool it was and such and called the Mon Cals "Kalmari Crusers" and I was like "that guy has just lost whatever Star Wars credibility he had."
  23. I already have it pre-ordered. Also have it pre-ordered for a friend (b-day present).
  24. This game looks good. I never played the original NWN except for the demo.
  25. Is Oblivion a first person only RPG? From the screens it looks like it.
