Dark Empire Series
Does anyone know if there are actual novels for the Dark Empire series? All I can find are the Dark Horse comic ones. Oh yeah. Anyone who says ships get phased out quickly look at the cover of this Dark Empire book. http://a1204.g.akamai.net/7/1204/1401/04061114011/images.barnesandnoble.com/images/7870000/7870203.jpg To the left of Luke's head is an Acclamator.

Sounds like C-3P0 and R2 Are Now Confirmed
Naw . They built him leg prosthetics to use. Think of a person with arm and leg extensions and you'll get the idea.

the ewok was just a running joke, there was no actual ewok pilot. No... there really was, he was genetically modified like his Gamorrean friend and thus much smarter then the rest of the species, of course killing any chance for procreation. Re-read the X-wing series? Yup. It was all a joke until Lara Notsil was on the Iron Fist and came across the animal tech lab where animals had their intelligence boosted artificially. Then she actually found an ewok.

Random Game Information About ships, buildings etc
Well we'll be able to hopefully find out the correct combat power when we get our hands on the demo. It would be neat if some time soon they had a unit list. Say by the end of December or early January.

What would you name your capital ships?
Sorry if there is a topic like this (I don't think there is). Anyway since it was learned from the live chat with some of the devs that ships will come with names already picked for them (from the SW Universe) and that you could choose to rename them if you wish. I just figured I'd make a topic where people could share some of the various names they wanted to use for renaming their ships. Portha, Portha's Pride, PFF_Garbageben Those are my first few. Portha, for those of you who haven't read the X-Wing series of books, was a trandoshan (think bossk) that helped Wedge when he made the Imp. Center guy choose the core on Coruscant. Basically it's just a random name I found and picked to use.

SW: Battlefront II
Give me 4 weeks and I'll have unlimited time to play Battlefront 2. Hopefully within a week or two after that the EaW demo will come out as well.

Transports and Tribulations
I don't think that the rebels need an interdictor. Cookie cutter balancing is bad for a game. If the Empire is running away from your fleets then just take the planet and be happy that they're running away and giving you a planet.

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2
My brother says that he got like 16 troopers in one throw once.

Transports and Tribulations
I don't think that's how this game is going to work. You can't contact fleets in hyperspace in the SW Universe and therefore you won't be able to call back your fleets once you've sent them (you can retreat back as soon as you leave hyperspace though provided the other side isn't the Empire and doesn't have an interdictor).

What happens when you are atacked?
Maybe there will be a preconflict overview that shows what ships each side has and how many of each type of fighter each side has. It would make it more realistic than having to go into the battle not knowing what you're facing. In SW ships were identified almost as soon as they jumped out of hyperspace. Plus if the battle looked lopsided in your favor you could instead choose to "auto-resolve" instead of wasting 10 minutes decimating an enemy fleet.

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2
Still it would have been cool to have Luke and Vader duel in the carbon freezing chamber.

Transports and Tribulations
Well if you had several invasion fleets you could also go for 3 or 4 planets all at one time. Try to time it so that all the fleets arrive in a close time interval. Then if you won all the battles you could send in invasion fleets. If the other player only tried to take 2 back or something then that would be 2 planets that you could do ground combat on and hopefully secure.

Fighters, how they dogfight
Agreed. With that in mind Rebel fighters will probably be produced separate from capital ships. Hopefully they will be free moving because they do have hyperdrives. Imperial fighters are without hyperdrives so it makes sense for them to have to be acquisitioned for/from a capital ship. That makes me wonder if you can garrison support fighter squadrons on your planets (in case you don't have a spacestation).
-
Capital ships or fighters?
I'd really like to have a 5 squadron to 1 capital ship ratio at least. Yeah I love starfighters even though I know capital ships are the real steak and potatoes.
-
Traps?
It looks like that from the videos I have seen. The explored space map is in the very center of the map (the view that is) and the planet is still in the backdrop.
-
Transports and Tribulations
It's a pretty good idea. I wonder though if in the time that you send for your invasion fleet if the other player (AI or human) would send in another fleet to try to retake it. If they got there sooner and defeated your fleet then they would be sitting there when your invasion fleet came. That's just something you'd have to risk of course.

Ahh... No Experience System
I was talking about the speed of the actual game Ghostly, not how fast time passes. I meant that in the fastest mode your units go super fast and at slower speeds units go slower than normal.
