  1. actually.. theres quite an easy way to convert from C to F and back to F from C that you can do in your head... (just an FYI for when you need it...) for C to F.. lets say its 10C ... times by two (20C) take away ten percent (20 - 2.0 = 18) add 32 (18+32=50) and thats it.. 50F I have found this to be dead on every time.. and now for from F to C .. simply subtract 32 (50-32 = 18) then multiply by 55% (or .55) so 50% + 5% = 9 + .9 = 9.9 degress C rounded to 10 C ... not too bad i dont think...
  2. Do you have the ones with the statue of liberty and the american flag?.. supposedly i was told that if they don't have the 39 cent mark on it then they are good for when they change the postage... hence why they made them like that.. so we dont have to go out and buy 1 cent stamps everytime they chagne the freakin postage... oh and thought i would include this.. cuz... i think its pretty cool... saw it on usps.com for all info on what stamps are getting introduced this year (im pretty sure for collecting) go here
  3. Time Travel does exist... rather interesting clip.. maybe the guy is just a nut?
  4. Yep... they are being released (officially) on May 25th to celebrate the Star Wars Premiere of 1977 and to be used as the "official" enactment of the 41 cent postage rate... but.. meh.. not like i mail much anyway..
  5. Some people take things way too seriously....
  6. oh hell yea im gonna go see that, been waiting for it now since i heard about it last year..

  9. hahahaha eagle, thats great... mmm shawarmas!.. lol
  10. It got removed.. ... so i couldnt see it?... anyone care to explain?
  11. i'm just gonna throw this in there.. the movie y'all are talking about is titled 28 Days Later. 28 Days is a Sandra Bullock movie about an alcoholic in rehab... just thought i would clear that up for y'all... and yea... From Dusk til Dawn was a bad ass movie..
  12. hahaha.. thats a good one J.. love it.
  13. i saw it twice over the weekend... absolutely fantastic movie.. one of the best I've seen in awhile. and yea.. you have to be 17 to buy a ticket for a rated R movie.. or accompanied by a parent or guardian... your brother cant even buy the ticket for you (i tried that when I was 16 long ago).. its kinda stupid.. but it has its purposes... i guess.. but back to 300.... absolutely fantastic.. the movie gives the "historical" story in such a way as to not make the movie boring.. quite genius really.. the "politcal" parts last only long enough to update you on the story and then you are flashed back to the battle quick enough not to get bored... it was quite perfect timing in my opinion..
  14. Are you guys too young to remember the Original Glove and the horrible sales it experienced? .. hahaha.. i remember this thing... quite hope they do nothing of the sort to the Wii...
  15. where'd you get the background for the luke/leia gif?... it almost looks like the cover art to the People in Planes CD..... but thats me...
  16. oh no.. they are here.. and in high numbers... always asking if i found jesus... so i say is he hiding?..
  17. OOC: Its coming, I promise. I wont say this too loud, but work is the only place I can really work on my post. However, work is really busy lately so Ive been unable to work on it too much due to that I'm not taking my breaks and just getting through lunch quickly.. but Its slowly coming. It should be done soon. I'm gonna get in touch with Tex about a few things, but other than that I think I'm good..
  18. Believe it or not, I was working on such a project my last semester in college. I looked into designing such a vehicle, which could just be pumped full of water. The problem with hydrogen fueled cars is that hydrogen is VERY explosive and such a solution to the problem of transportation of such a dangerous gas would be just what you said.. fuel cars off water, let them make it into hydrogen for their fuel cells.... problem is.. its not quite feasible. There are too many efficiency drains in the cycle. And the car would basically have to be a hybrid.. but with technological advances, it could happen someday... E... I think you are forgetting the probelm of "Nuclear Waste". The problem isnt that people are afraid of only nuclear meltdowns, they are also scared of where the waste would go and what we would do with it... our current solution of burying the waste scares too many people, and has caused too many problems.. people are afraid of becoming the perfect nuclear family... literally.. hahaha..
  19. but god does that song F***ing rock.. i love sepultura..
  20. I hope to see it this weekend... it comes out today.. so.. yea... hoping to see it tomorrow or tonight.. but.. if i do see it i'll let you know how it is..
  21. The reason I asked.. is because that they can easily plan a trip for you by plotting out your driving route and such. They often can suggest sights to be seen and other interesting things. However, that aside (because that can take the fun out of it) i would at least stop by a local office and see if they have books on the different states which you are going to end up driving through. They are often very informative as to where one can stay and what one has the chance to see. I've heard that the Natural Bridge Caverns just north of San Antonio are quite nice, but I have yet to make my way up there. I'm sure Tex will have alot of suggestions, he seems as the sight seeing type.. I'm too lazy to see too much.. lol. Ive also heard Big Bend is nice.. its out in West Texas on the Mexican border and could be a quick swing by trip on your way out of Texas towards New Mexico...
  22. If your planning in July expect it to be BLAZING hot.. but thats me.. im originally from the north so Texas is way too hot for me at times... My family and I once drove from Houston to Canada and we went through Dallas over to New Mexico then Arizona and up to the Grand Canyon.. its a pretty nice drive.. lots of scenery... just dont expect too many cities once your into and past West Texas... its pretty open out there.. if your going to Austin definately swing down to San Antonio and see the Alamo.. its pretty neat.. it all depends what you're into really, as to where you want to go and see... i mean.. if your not down with historical structures its probably not a wise idea to go see the missions in san antonio.. anyways... Verdex you have AAA by chance?
  23. Well, you can see which wonders are in the top 7 places for the next 7 days... heres a link http://www.new7wonders.com/ranking I'm quite happy with the bottom 7.. but a little sad to see a few in the middle 7... but i just thought of it.. if china votes for their wall.... noone will be able to top those votes.. cuz.. 1 billion people strong.. thats tough to top.. although.. i doubt that many people are actually voting.. whatever.. there was a joke in there somewhere.. but i lost it..
  24. hehehehehehehe... i found this video on myspace... hehe.. i love robot chicken..
  25. I'll "pray" for you too J God didn't create evil. Man excels at ignorance Just rambling ... In order for good to exist evil also too must exist.. so.. therefore.. God must have made evil in order to appear as good before man... plus.. didnt God create the angels??... and Lucifer is an angel.. who fell.. to become Satan.. and all that is evil.... therefore God created evil... well... I think i may be wrong somewhere in there... enlighten me..
