It´s a nice idea, but I dunno. Just think of you load up your work, spend your money to print that in a book and nobody buys it.

That´s really disturbing! One step further to SkyNet or to Cylons.

Nice stop-motion:

Watched "the island" a couple of days ago. It started very interesting, but ended in an action-orgy. It´s really sad, because the story had lots of potentional. First Obi Wan as a clone! What an ironie. Than the fact that all the clones really had to be alive, to feel, to learn, or they couldn´t use their organs. Another thing which should have been more in touch was when McGregor met that guy of whoms clone he is and has to discover that they are entirely different. That aspect would have been very interesting, why their personalities developed that different to each other. Really lots of potential in that story which was left abandoned just for the sake of an intense "rollercoaster-ride".

Very good work, guys! @Kryt Seriously, lots of profesional modellers or programmers started in a modder team. A mod is the perfect demo of your skills. For example nearly everybody of the modder-team of the Battlefield 1942-Mod called "Dessert Combat" got a job at DICE later and became involved in the production of Battlefield 2. I guess there are at least hundreds of modder-forums out there, full of teams who are desperately in search for good modellers. You just have to pick up a mod in which you´ve got interested.

First, welcome to the forum! You may say "hello" to the community in this thread? I once managed to make Luke a master in a very short period. Palpatine was alone on a diplomacy mission on a week imperial planet, while a fleet of mine besieged it. Luke was aboard on one ship of that fleet. I guess it was after he returned from Dagobah. So I took Luke to capture Palpi. When they´ve met, they had a duell of course. Luke got hurt, but managed to escape back to the fleet. He got levelled up and recovered very soon, so I had the chance for another try. This time both got hurt, Luke escaped, got levelled up and recovered very quick again, while Palpi still was hurt. So I took him again and again on this mission until he managed to capture the emperor. Luke´s stats very incredible high at the end and he had the rank of a Jedi Master. He had a combat skill of about 140 or more. Even Vader wouldn´t have been a match if both would have met in that game.

Yes, that´s what I meant. Really nice pics. I like that New Republic SD. I dunno, but these pics in the first thread are very dark. You can just see their lights. And I´ve just watched the trailer, but there was nothing which reminded me of Rebellion. Except the old Rebellion movies in it of course. It was still looking a lot like EAW. But maybe there will be a newer trailer soon. All in all that mod looks really good. Thumbs up!

That looks like a nice idea. Is there any gallery where you can see some pics of the new added ships and characters? Just browsed through the forum and haven´t found anything. But to be honest I´m just a bit too lazy right now.

I dunno, I just find that pic quite funny.

Because that´s the way they can earn more money. As a child my cousin stood up in the middle of the night, walked into a corner for having a pee. My aunt was embarrassed, but he just walked back to his bed without waking up.

@Kryt Very good! Like just mentioned before, search for a modder-team. I´m sure they would be glad to have you in their team. There are lot´s of team, who still look for modellers. @Jahled I want one of these clones!!!

Maybe you have been abducted and those little grey fellas totally forgot where they´ve picked you up.

The older ones look much fluffier if you ask me. Apropos fluffieness: Another german zoo has a baby polarbear Impossible to believe that this baby will come nearly as big as his parents in about half a year later. What kind of bears are on pic 11?
-
Of course. I mentioned just one possible reason for his injuries.

Well I´ve got an AthlonXP 2000 with 512 MB RAM and WinXP HomeEdition. The Folding Software slowed down my PC and caused problems while surfing the I-Net. I would have been glad to help out but it just doesn´t work that good on my computer, sorry.

Well I guess that I´m not the only one who allways thought, when hearing about the clone-wars in the OT, that it was a war against an army of clones. When people heard that the title of Episode II would be "Attack of the clones", many thought that they are the bad guys who attacked the old republic and they had to fight them back. It was also told about Boba Fett that he belonged to a kind of warriors who fought the jedi in the clone-wars era. So my idea was allways about that that in Episode I would have the beginning of the clone-wars in it, which are led by some evil guys. Maybe even led by some Sith. Anakin would be in that age he was in Episode II and was a star-fighter pilot and hasn´t been touched by the dark side yet. In Episode II there would be some epic battles against the clones and/or mandalores or whoever was allied with them. And Anakin starts to turn to the dark side and begins hunting down the jedis, which aren´t that much people like allways shown in the prequells. While all this happens, chancellor Palpatine does what he is really doing in Episode II. Building up his own powers which will result in the rise of the Empire in Episode III, where the remaining Jedi have to flee of Darth Vader and world by world will be succumbed. So all in all a very dark tone for all three episodes. Vaders heavy injuries would have been the result of a crash he had with his star-fighter and not because of a duell with a jedi on a vulcano-planet. I allways questioned why Vader needed a respirator just because his skin was burned.

Forgot to mention that I´ve watched King Kong on swiss television a week ago. It seems that everybody liked the remake so I thought I also shall watch it. It´s clear that it´s very difficult to top a movie which is legendary, but this movie is the worst remake imo, really. When I just think back of that scene, where they discover some sort of brontosaurus-herd or whatever, you soon see something moving in the bushes around them. And I just thought: "Oh, raptors! How original! Nobody had that in a movie up till now." Just because people liked the veloci-raptors in jurrasic park doesn´t mean you should put them in every movie which has dinosaurs in it. After that scenes I thought that I´ve seen enough and switched off tv.

Well I kept it running for a couple of days, but I fear my pc is much too slow.

Is that one of yours, Jahled? http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6844/londonzoolt4.jpg Woman counting butterflys in London Zoo. (source: badische-zeitung.de)

I definately will watch that movie, Mad! I´m sure it will have more atmosphere than the remake has. Allthough the first remake with Charlton Heston is also a very good movie, which I really enjoyed to watch. The reason why nowadays movies mostly suck is quite easy to answer. Thus I will post some quotes by former SW producer Gary Kurtz (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes back), which will explain, why we now have more SFX and action than plot, like in the prequells. You can read the full interview here. It´s really very interesting. The thing is, don´t complain about that you´ve just saw a bad movie in cinema. Read some reviews before going to see the movie itself. At least that´s what I´m allways doing and it helps me much to differ the good ones from the bad. If your girlfriend wants to see that movie, try to convince her to not do it. If that doesn´t work, than you´re doomed.

Hello and welcome, TZOLI!

It´s sad to hear again, that there is another solution for a global problem which hasn´t been developed further until oil got too expensive. But if ever this procedure will be in use, I´m not sure if this really will help to stop global warming, though people would go on driving their cars and thus producing CO2 again. And I´m afraid that we still will have larger amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere than could be effectively recycled back to gasoline.

The commandos look quite nice. If I can have this game for a longer term from my friend, I may try this mod out.

I was glad to help. And there are more guys like me, where I come from.

... and the co-pilot of your Falcon, pardon, car.
