What I was talking about is indeed the official release! I dont buy illegal copys! I ask myself why they didnt just cut out the added scenes of the special edition. Than it would be the remastered original movie. Would´ve been easy and the picture quality would be much better.

Lucasfilms released the original star wars trilogy on dvd for the first time. Well, ok there has been the special edition on dvd before. But this is the original trilogy whitout these cheesy digital scenes and sfx as bonus-dvds paired with the special edition. All I can say is: don´t buy it The movies, especially the first two parts, have a bad picture-quality. Sometimes it looks like u´ve got snow on the screen. A friend of mine said, "well, these movies are old". But I got some flics from the early seventies which have a much better picture-quality and look like new releases! And the special edition was fully digitalized. So why the hack they did such a bad job on these??? So if u have the original trilogy on tape or laserdisc or whatever you really don´t have to buy the new release.
