It would have been on SF2, but nevermind. A couple of years ago we also could receive TRS1 and TSI1 along with both SF-Channels. Looks like we got more swiss tv programs in former than you´ve ever had as a swiss.

And you watched it where? On that site I´ve posted above? Yesterdays match "Netherlands vs. Russia" was a real surprise. Of course the dutch team belonged to the favorites of that championship also in my opinion. They just seemed to be the strongest team. And now they have been thrown out of the competition by the russian team which rather had an underdog position with 3:1. Fabulous! But I also feel a bit sad with the dutch fans, because I know some dutch people. After the game was over some riots seemed to take place in Basel and the swiss police called for back up so it seemed that nearly all german police units rushed there. Never saw/heard such a large amount of sirens. In the end it all seemed quite harmless. It was just a couple of frustrated dutch fans who made some trouble, but nothing serious.

BTW, just if Mad reads that today. "Apocalypse Now - Redux" will be aired today on swiss television (SF2) at about 11.45 pm.

Isn´t "Why we fight" the documentary with former Secretary of Defense William McNamara? I always wanted to watch it. Is it online somewhere? Edit: Aargh! Just remembered that those are two different documentaries. I saw "Why we fight" some while ago. That docu I´ve mentioned above has been shown on cinemas a couple of years ago and I believe it´s called "Shadows of War" if I´m right. Would love to see that docu.

Thursday match, Germany vs. Portugal, was indeed one of the best matches I ever saw of the german team. That was awesome! Today my town is infested with lots of dutch fans wearing an orange t-shirt (their team colour and that of the house of Oranje). Because today its the Netherlands vs. Russia and I hope it won´t be too hard for Russia, because I think that they won´t have the slightest chance. It´s said that they had some trouble with the 4th referee outside of the field. Today it´s Germany vs. Portugal. There was a time when I always also logged in to the chatroom when I was logged in to the forum. But except of SOCL nobody ever joined it. But if I see that you´re logged in, sharpeye, I would join of course.

Germany won 1:0. But it wasn´t a very good game IMO. It was like "oh, we´re supposed to win this. So let´s shoot a goal". If they do play like that on thursday vs. Portugal they are out of the race. Yeah, I also don´t care if either Italy or France wins. Both teams played so bad it was just sad. Like you´ve just mentioned before, the dutch team has always won every match so far. They seem to be the strongest teams, followed by Portugal, Germany (if they have a good day ) and than Spain and Sweden. Well still: Go, Germany, Go!

To not go way to off-topic in this thread I have decided to answer to Evaders´ post here. And for those two games it´s even two overdimensioned. I don´t need the most modern machine for my purposes and usage. I also asked a mate of myne who is on track with all those modern hardware aso and he also suggested to rather buy everything separated, because he believed it would be much cheaper than. But he totally forgot about the fact that you also would have to pay the shipment for evey single item which you would have to buy in several shops. It´s not that I feel that Intel has bad processors but I rather do prefer AMD for several reasons.

He he, it could be. But I´m not sure. All those guys around here will rather deny it and claim that this could be just one of his drones and no photo has been taken of Zoot himself so his appearance is still unknown.

Interesting find. Where is that bunker? Haven´t found any reference for that or did I just overread it? It has been partly demolished after the french and american army set over the rhine. You still could see all those holes in the wall which the old Wehrmacht soldiers broke in by themselves to get all those shells out, because at the end of the war they were in need of metal so they collected what they could. It´s a cubic like bunker of about 6 x 6 meters. On the flat roof there was supposed to be an AA-Gun. Those kind of bunkers where all along the Rhine back in those days.

Germany lost thursday´s match versus Croatia 1:2. They played really bad. Don´t know what was wrong. Maybe they thought it would be an easy walkthrough or something like that.
