Arrgh! Totally forgot the time difference between us and China. So if I would like to watch the german female beach volleyball-team (yummy) than I would have to stay up till early in the morning. No way! So I have to record it. BTW just saw the german female hockey-team in the news. There are also some nice ladies in it. Just keep in mind: its all just about sports!

Thanks for the explanation, Krytos. And I believe I know where youve got the link for that site from. My personal believe is that they are building the first superlaser and Mad sits somewhere in a dark room wearing a black cape and thinks about what to atomize first. "Fire at will, Commander!" The swiss already own all the money of this world and dont need us anymore. So they will simply blast us all away. BTW I really hope that these guys know what they are doing there.

Most impressive indeed! Yeah, the comments are really funny: But a nooby question. What is this thing for??

I saw in my TV journal that there were some soccer-matches on the olympics this afternoon. First: Damn! I missed them! Second: How is that possible?? The olympics will just start tomorrow???

The Berlin Zoo told that Knut the cuddly polarbear is now in his puberty. I always wonder how they can recognise something like that. Now I know how: http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/1894/isknutpu2.jpg

Its getting a bit weird about what NASA has to say about Mars. What they confirm and not confirm. First they made a press-conference announcing that frozen water has been found, than on the weekend they even have a meeting with G.W. to brief him about some further discoveries theyd made and after that on tuesday they claim that Mars would even be less inhabitable as they first thought. Even the briefing has been denied. Than some come forward and telling that this toxic ground maybe isnt too bad at all. Back and forward, back and forward. http://estimateofthesituation.blogspot.com/2008/08/news-unbroken-nasa-denies-white-house.html http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/080804-phoenix-perchlorate.html The russians sense a plot: http://english.pravda.ru/science/tech/04-08-2008/105985-mars-0 http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080805/sc_nm/space_mars_dc;_ylt=At_UkuVZiMgyrrYOV5sn_UUPLBIF http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9111698 My point is either youve discovered something or you havent. If you havent than there wouldnt be any use of making an official press-conference to announce the world that youve found something important. Maybe the Bush administration told them something like that: "Nooo! Why are you telling such kind of things??? Now the people want us going up there. We cant afford that anymore!!!!" Those NASA guys are professionals and know about what they are talking. They arent noobs at all. So this is a very strange acting.

A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed by EVE. He plays it now for years.

@Mad That model looks awesome. Well done! For which kind of game is this? And here are some pics of his workshop: http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/6193/4faaf43aab7e060e4d3fd88wa1.th.jpg http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/1518/b326713ce43fc543d1388adro1.th.jpg If youre wondering why there are so much people sitting around it. Theres an open air cinema currently and Ive got the noise from there all evening. The bell which rings before any movie starts is quite enjoyable especially when it rings for the late night show. Oh, dont worry. There is not one single cool movie you can watch there. Its mostly some womens movies. You know that Glen Close with Jeff Daniels kind. Can you see these blue things around that building? These are some of his infamous sculptures. You can make a guess what it is.

Propably found a vid which shows one of these objects in the Hudson Valley-vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF9Ft7j1eqw&feature=related Just look at its lights. It also makes a jetlike sound, but I cant see any jet propulsions. Last thursday it seemed that one amazings news hunted the other. First the news about hydrocarbonate liquids on the Saturn moon Titan: http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/home/index.cfm And right after that the news about ... tata(!) ... water on Mars: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25954096 And it could be that we may get some more incredible news in the next months: http://www.universetoday.com/2008/08/02/the-white-house-is-briefed-phoenix-about-to-announce-potential-for-life-on-mars/ Its interesting. Maybe youve heard about it back in april when William Shatner, Cpt. Kirk, claimed to have heard that soon we will get some news about Mars: http://trekmovie.com/2008/04/09/shatner-claims-to-know-about-life-on-mars/ Kirk knew it all. Well just an example that we all are on the bottomline when it comes to tell us some news. LLF I completely see where youre coming from. If I wouldnt have had observed some unknown objects myself I also wouldnt believe those UFO stories at all. My parents also didnt until they saw one by themselfs as they were taking a walk outside back in the early 90s. It was earthshaking for them, which is for everyone who sees something like that for the first time. I have to add that my city is near an airport and planes of all sorts and sizes are coming and going, so people around here know to differ which is a plane and which is not.

As a matter of fact they do. Is it known as a UFO haven? They live near the town of Pine Bush, which is very famous (locally) for "UFO experiences". Interesting site. Have to take a closer look at it later. I dont know if its some kind of UFO hotspot, but it looks like if you read through that site. I only have seen a video a couple of weeks ago of alleged weird looking government-crafts, which could belong to so called black-projects. But the user has deleted his video. Luckily I found it again plus some others which is said have been taken in that region. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACjy1lPFe1M&feature=related Brittains high court, the House of Lords, refused today to stop the extradition to the US of hacker Gary McKinnon who has been accused for hacking into several systems of the Pentagon and NASA. If he will be extradited to the US the 42 year old hacker could face a penalty of 60 years in a US prison. Some say thats a death sentence. "American officials involved in this case have stated that they want to see him 'fry'.", his lawyer said. His intention hacking into these systems was for finding evidence for a UFO cover up. Which he claims he has found. http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/07/30/uk.hacker.ap/index.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7532713.stm I feel that would be a very hard sentence which he doesnt deserve. He didnt really hacked those systems, because they werent even protected by passwords, firewalls etc. Everybody with limited knowledge could access these systems with ease, he says. He even left messages there that they should protect their systems. He claims he just read and didnt erase anything like the US government claims. 60 years behind bars is too much for something like that. There have been bankers who were responsible for worldwide crashes on the financial markets and when they were caught they just got a couple of years. Thats just not right.

Really? Do you know those documentaries of which they used the parts? Could be also interesting to watch them.
-
I saw the first two parts of that series and tried to play the PC version of the very first part of Resident Evil, but it was impossible. It has been so badly ported. You were unable to control the character in the game the right way. You always became the victim of these slow moving Zombies. They always try to bring up an explanation why there are zombies in that movie. Either its a pleague, some form of radiation or some kind of chemicals which make them return from dead. I dont need that. Just let them slurp and hunt human flesh. Thats all what is needed.

So you dont have any telescope today? As a kid of about 10 - 12 I was also very into astronomy and would have loved to own a telescope with which I could see Mars, Venus or at least watch the Moon much better. About the subject of mind over matter I believe that it has nothing to do with religion. Its at least how I feel about that. The question why a government would hide contact with ET is a big subject. It could be just for the sake of advanced weapon- and propulsion-systems which could have been essential during the cold-war. Why they are able to hide something big like this is maybe because of there compartementalisation which already helped them to invent the A-Bomb during WWII without any public notice. Compartmentalisation means that if you are assigned for a special duty you will only be told about what you need to know to fulfill your job and you wont be allowed to tell anybody what you are doing. So they wont tell you all and everything. Like Mitchell in another interview already stated (which I can post if requested) that because of that compartementalisation people may have their offices next to each other in one and the same building, but they probably never will know what each other is currently working on. So for example your a driver in the army and you are told to drive Team A to Point B you only will be told about their mission if you need to know to do your job otherwise you wont get knowledge what Team A has to do at Point B. Thats just a very simple example about such kind of procedure. Ok, maybe Aldrin, Mitchell and Co. werent any kind of scientists when they travelled to the moon and rather were just some kind of labour-rats who have been sent there to collect some stone samples just because an ape was not able to handle that. There may be no evidence of what they saw, but why does the accounts of eye-wittnesses dont count? Just because were not willing to accept? And why were there no missions to the moon anymore?
-
I guess I dont surprise anyone here when I say that Im not a fan of those Resident Evil-flics. But I also have to admit that after seeing the classic Zombie movies "Dawn of the Dead" (the original) and Lucio Fulcis "Zombie" other movies with the same topic have it hard to top that. Even Romero failed by himself to capture the feeling of his first two Zombie-movies again.

Oooh, I love the music! Its always like some kind of little holiday playing it.

LLF youve found something interesting. Ive listened to several interviews Edgar Mitchell gave the last couples of days and also read some transcripts. If youve read his wiki-entry you may see that soon after his return from his moon-mission he left NASA. Whatever he allegedly encountered on the moon altered his view on many things about life and whats it all about. Ill try to be as careful in explaining these things to you as possible and please keep in mind that I dont consider to call myself an ufologist, but what Ive heard is that the UFO-field itself does not only deal with the nature of UFOs, it also deals with mind over matter. Its alleged that these beings from wherever they may come from are not only technically advanced they are also spiritually much more advanced than we could imagine. Thats very hard to understand and to cope with, guys, and I also have my problems with that, but maybe these theories about that kind of spirituality could have inspired him to engage himself in such kind of studies. When I say spiritual its not meant in that exact way somebody who beliefs in any kind of god or something like that. Its really some kind of mind over matter. Jedilike stuff if you want so. Finding a more scientific dude to explain all that?? Who??? You cant study that kind of science. Look at all these so called scientists who give interviews just for the sake to debunker all and everything instead of doing some serious research about that matter. Some are simply afraid of their own reputation or their pensions or whatever and prefer to stay out of that business. Even ordinary people try to avoid that topic because its been systematically ridiculled in all these years and I dont see any kind of change yet.

When I tried to model that repucblic cruiser mentioned above, Colonel Olorin suggested to try Blender instead of Sketchup. I tried to cope with it but I failed. But I guess if you are firm in using editors and stuff you wont have any problem making models with it.

Zeitgeist - The Movie Don´t watch it if you are a very religious person! I´d say it needs an open mind to watch it.

Rated and commented as wished. May I suggest to change your titel from "Ultimate N00b" to "SWR Anchorman"? Don´t laugh but this is my Moms favorite show: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=9214243232625235338&q=Jakers!+The+Adventures+of+Piggley+Winks&ei=G-CISOf1C4b82gLv3J3TBw
