I found out earlier today that I'm going to be a father sometime next year. My wife and I are very excited.

If any of you plan on seeing Year One, don't. At least wait for it to come out on DVD or for it to be shown on TV. I wouldn't say it's a bad movie, but it isn't exactly a good one either. It's the kind of movie you don't want to pay full price to see, and if you do see it you wouldn't want to see it again. It's mildly entertaining and mildly funny. But that's about it. Save your money.

I also saw Hangover, and must say that so far it is the funniest movie this year.
-
I saw Transformers 2 also. Which should really be called "The Adventures of Shia Lebauf and the Giant Robots From Outerspace." The humans had way too much screen time, and not enough Autobots and Decepticons. After all, that's who the movie is supposed to be, or should be about. There were times the movie dragged, like the big battle at the end. There were also times where the comedy seemed forced.

I guess I can put this in Randomness... I was listening to the radio and a familiar song came on which made me think back to 1998-1999. It conjured up memories of games (Rebellion), music, school, family, and friends (some of which I haven't spoke to in years). It brought back a thousand memories of good times. Life was simpler then. The world seemed new and exciting. Now I've graduated, got a career, and a ball n' chain attached to me leg. Does anyone else get these kind of blues? I miss yesterday...

I gave Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop a try, and I just could not get into it. It was for the Wii, and from what I understand it has some differences from its X-box predecessor. I think having to fight zombie Poodles and Parrots ruined the game for me. Anyway, looking forward to RE5 next week!

I saw The Wrestler last night, and it's one of my favorite movies this year. Great movie. Sad, but great. It does a good job of showing what some of the people in that business go through.

Just got back from seeing Mall Cop. Well, what can I say...blah. It had some funny moments. It was more cute than funny. Was it an ok movie? Yeah. Would I pay full price to watch it again? No. Would I buy it on DVD? No.

Ok, I just had one of the creepiest, yet coolest dreams ever. I dreamed that the world was overrun by zombies. In the beginning, we were being informed on the news about some strange new disease. Next thing you know, everyone is bording up their homes as zombies start pouring into our neighborhood. In one part of the dream we all escaped to this fortified hotel where we were supposed to be safe, but somehow one of our fellow residents got infected and we had to evacuate. During the process I got separated from my wife, only to find out later that her and some of the other survivors made it to a fortified shopping mall (like Dawn of the Dead). Somehow I managed to find a working van, drove to the mall and while doing so plowed through undead hordes. When I got there, it was too late as the mall had been overrun and they had got my wife. Depressed and accepting defeat, I walked up to the top floor of the mall where one of the stores was some sort of disco dance floor. (What it's doing in a mall I don't know). Behind me I can hear the dead following me up. When I reach the room I take a seat and realize that across the room is zombie sitting in one of the chairs. It appears that it's just sitting there listening to the music too. It saw me but didn't make an immediate move to attack me. However, I can hear the groaning of the other zombies as they lumber up the stairs toward us. That was the end of the dream.

Have you all seen the video for I Get It by Chevelle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsyNNKb4wLg LOL, talk about getting back at your boss.

I watched the original Planet of the Apes movie the other day. This movie is an awesome classic, and I love the ending. It blows away that 2001 remake.

***Force Unleashed Storyline- SPOILERS***

Did you all see the Gungan that was frozen in carbonite in the trophy room? Hehehe... -
I started playing this game Friday, and finished in Sunday. It is definitely one of the best Star Wars games, with little or no complaints from me. Two things come to mind... 1) Near the end of the game, after you've leveled up you character and have all kinds of crazy Force powers and lighstaber skills, you still are relatively weak. You would think that if Vader's apprentice can cause a Star Destroyer to crash by using the Force (and he does), then he would have no problem hurling a chicken walker and a bunch of Stormtroopers across the room. Surely Vader's apprentice would put the beat down on the opposition as he neared the end of the game. Wrong. Even at the last level, with Force-lightning and Force grip maxed out, I still had to run, duck, and even hide (that's right: HIDE) when it came to fighting enemies. I don't know, I guess by the last level I was expecting to be able to rip through enemies like the were nothing. Kind of how like Vader does at the beginning of the game. 2) I have the PS3 version, which has superior graphics to the Wii version. However, the Wii version has an extra feature that allows for two players to select characters from the Star Wars: PT, OT, and Expanded Universe and fight it out.

I thought the idea of Vader and the Emperor technically creating the Rebellion a little far-fetched. All in all, it was a good gaming experience. I have finished the game, and got both endings. -
I survived Ike, and I just got my power back a few days ago.
-
The first time I ever built and used a Death Star was when I was in a stalemate with the Rebels. So I used the weapon to tip the balance of power in my favor. However, I used it sparingly when it came to destroying planets. I think I destroyed 3 Rebel worlds, and the rest of the time I used it in fleet battles to take out capital ships.

I have recently rediscovered Knights of the Old Republic. I'm also planning to get KOTOR II soon.

Yee Haw! A fellow Texan (lurking) in the forums. I do believe most of the Houston skyline has its buildings lined with microscopic magnifying glasses to make the pedestrians "fry" during the day Howdy Partner!

Okay, do any of you know a person like this: On Fridays, I usually go out to lunch from work. The last two times I have, I have seen this one particular guy walking down the street. He's always wearing black clothes, black sunglasses, and to top it all off, a black leather jacket. Mind you, that I live in Houston, TX. The heat down here this time of year is similar to that of a jungle due to the humidity. Guess you got to look cool, even if you have to sweat to do so. But damn do I have to resist the urge to yell out at him: "Hey budy, you don't look cool, you look stupid!" He kind of reminds me of another guy in college who used to come to school during the summer wearing his black trench coat.

I usually got to bed at 11:40 PM and wake up at 6:40 AM. I wish I didn't have to sleep. If you think about it, it is such a waste of time.
