I've still got my original manual. A couple years back a guy I knew was getting rid of a bunch of older computer games. Among them was Rebellion. I now have 1 CD (my original got scratched, thank God for copies, and later lost in a move), 2 manuals, and 1 poster. I need to start playing off a back-up copy again. I need to find a nice, safe spot for my original disc. Maybe I'll put it in my MR Ep. III Yoda's Lightsaber box. That should be safe.

I haven't seen it on my computer in Platteville, or on my girlfriend's in Dubuque. I've used both IE7 and Firefox on both computers. We're both using the most recent versions of each browser.

There's a thought, J. Has anyone tried sending in a scratched/broken disc, asking if it could be replaced?

I scout Coruscant w/ a gunship. Then I pick and choose from the fleet that I've got near by and try to make the battle fair. Then I bring in the rest of the fleet w/ Luke and other Jedi. They clear out the system defenses. Assault, and diplomacy. Rebuild defenses while diplomacy is running.

Why? Could you be a little more specific? What from the first quote did you want addressed? I think SW should belong to the fans because if we weren't around, GL wouldn't bother w/ it anymore. He only cares because it allows him to make money, NOT because he still cares about SW.

I was thinking the View Two picture looked like it had been taken more recently than RotJ, even.

The new layout is pretty sharp if you ask me. Sure, it will take a little while to adjust to it, but I like it.

I got 7/20. BFG=Big Fucking Gun. Naming the security guard from Half-Life is only easy if you've played the game. I have not spent the money on it TO play it.

I understand what both of you are saying, but in my mind, and I put that in bold for a reason, SW belongs to the fans now. I know we have no legal right to the series, and no say in what GL puts in there. I also know that I've put a lot of time and money into it. It's like someone came in and took a magnet to portions of my hard drive, or went into my room at home and took a hack saw to my swords. Things are damaged and lost.

Seeing as no one has posted comments there in most of a year, I'll put my thoughts here. First, as Tex said, you could write a better/more informed essay after gathering more, or even all the data available concerning the Empire. The EU has all kinds of information about the Empire, and the attrocities that were commited in its name. Second, Alderaan by itself shoots your arguement to kingdom-come. A regional government's actions do not justify the slaughtering of the regional populace. Third, the Empire did not REALLY form legally. Palpy just said, 'We're now an Empire, and I'm your emperor.' Sure, the Senate cheered, but that was more from Palpy's charisma than the fact they were an Empire, IMO. Fourth, unless I'm mistaken, Captain Antilles was dead when Vader "lets go." I had other points, but I got distracted before I could get them down.

It could be that the one in RotS is the DS Prototype seen in the Jedi Academy Trilogy. Then again, it could just be a crock of shit put out by the Supreme Dumbass, GL.

Perhaps I should drop in here and offer an update. The vast majority of people on this site first knew me as a spammer. That ended when I came home from college at the end of the Spring '06 semester. I'm not a very patient person and waiting on the dial up connection wasn't worth it to me. I went back to Platteville to continue w/ college and just never really sat around at the computer as much. I would stop in every once in a while, as a few of you noticed, I'm sure. Winter/Semester break came around at the end of December and I came home. There is a DSL connection here now. I have spent much of break travelling around the midwest, though. As it is I usually only stop in for the Zoot Wars II thread in the RP section. I'm behind by about 30 books. Those are the Sith/OR Era and Legacy Era books. Granted, there are a couple NR books I don't own. I'm still totally lost when you guys start talking about the Legacy books.

I think mine's pretty self-explanatory, if you've read the books. The only reason I'm saying anything is that I've been lurking too much and my post count has been suffering.
