  1. Has LucasArts come out w/ a game that DIDN'T use DirectX? I know I don't own any of them if they exist.
  2. Its a good idea...I'll keep it in mind for the next game I start. Thanks
  3. The order of the first two is gonna sound weird, but its chronologically accurate... SNES - Was a gift for my older brother, younger brother (at the time there were only 3 of us) and myself. Currently at my mother's/brother's home, still used. NES - Picked up from a guy we went to church w/ just bc he didn't want it anymore. Same location, I think it still gets used... GameBoy Pocket - in a dresser drawer, used only rarely. Gamecube - My personal non-PC videogame system. Sitting on my dresser at home, spent most of the day on it yesterday. GBA - sits in the bathroom on the counter next to the toilet...need I say more?
  4. I still can't decide which one I like more...I really like the idea of not maxing out your level in 2, not to mention the extra lightsaber mods. Does anyone know when/if they're going to come out with a KotOR 3???
  5. I play large galaxy bc I found small and medium even easier.
  6. Am I the only one who finds playing against the computer so easy that you actually have to use RebEd to give your opponent the CLEAR advantage, just to get a decent game??? I play Large galaxy, Full victory (HQ+Big Shot Characters), and Hard difficulty setting.
  7. Leia was recieving combat training starting about age 12 i think. she was young. Bail decided that if his daughter was gonna be a Rebel, she ought to be able to defend herself.
  8. A-wings are fine if you wanna constantly replace fighters. The X-wing is sooo much more resilient. B-wings are what you wanna use against capital ships. Y-wings are what you use before you get B-wings.
  9. 1 SSD vs 1 Bulwark, no Admirals, no fighters, just ship against ship, the SSD should win. Their Shields are slightly stronger, they've got slightly better weaponry. You do make a good point about the fighters tho.
  10. By the time I decided to try it, the Empire didn't have much left, I had to go searching for a fleet to fight, when I finally found one, I had to wait for 3-5 min just for the fleets to get close enough together to begin taking shots at each other.
  11. This is true, but I'd still want to have a 3rd and/or 4th Carrier w/ X-Wings, just to keep the B-Wings safe.
  12. Fair enough...will keep that in mind the next time my fingers work faster than my brain.
  13. The dauntless doesnt have anywhere near enough firepower to take on an SSD, so even w/ the extra fighters, idve still been screwed
  14. Listen* sorry
  15. I ;isten to Abbot and Costello often, and I'm only 20. I loved your modern day rendition of it.
  16. Yes the Katana fleet. When i got the game bout a year after it came out the computer i had was running on a pentium 60 (sys. req. was spossed to b 90) it had 16K RAM. i started a Rebel game and i still have that file. i played that particular game for 5 years (at least) on that dinosaur of a computer
  17. also going back the the original post...our Patriots r guided by ground/ship based radar. when launched from Aegis ships, the Aegis' air radar just emits the radar pulse, then the Patriot has a radar reciever that catches the reflection.
  18. The General raises an interesting idea...'Industrial' Espionage. To be able to tell your characters to look at your enemies shipyards and steal the blueprints to all their ships.
  19. Am I the only one who has ever created the Dark Force???
  20. 1. Need to be able to make small custom mods to the ships using R&D ppl. ie. customize Strike Cruiser, Corellian Corvette & Gunship, etc. (smaller capital ships) 2. Ways for other Jedi (not Luke or Leia) to 'level up' quickely/effectively (other than pairing them w/ a super strong Luke). (Does that make any sense?) 3. More characters/ships/troops/planets/spec. forces/missions/etc. 4. More options in tactical mode. 5. No making Chewie, other obvious non-Jedi Jedi. (one game I found Chewie to be force sensitive, and trained him to b a Jedi Master.) 6. Orbital defensive platforms.
  21. The battle was played repeatedly using different fighter combinations...it was decided B- and X-wings bc of B-wing capital ship attack supported by X-wings bc of their defensive capabilities (it's a lot harder to kill an X-wing than it is an A- or Y-wing). My friend just likes the Defender too much to be willing to try anything new.....
  22. I was palying head to head w/ a friend, we decided to divide the galaxy in half and have a giant battle. 50 Bulwarks, fully loaded w/ fighters (I think it was decided 65-35 split between B- and X-wings (A-wings die too fast vs Defenders)) vs. 50 SSD's also fully loaded w/ fighters (purely Defenders as I recall). For the first 2 min. it was just fighters closing the distance between the fleets. for the next 3-4 the fighters were carving eachother up. Then the capital ships got into it. EVERY volley a ship would die. After about 10 ships on either side died things really started to slow down. The B-wings did a LOT of damage to the SSD's. when fleets were down to about 20% health (10 capital ships for those who dont wanna think) it was decided NOT to wait the half hour that it would take to finish out the slug-fest, so one of us ran (can't remember who, it was whoever DIDN'T own the host system). It's a good way to play if you like seeing lots of powerful ships blow up really fast.
