  1. I'm just surprised that there have been so many replies 'overnight'.
  2. Some of you may like this. http://www.channel4.com/film/chatvotewin/microsites/F/forceometer/ I got a 4. It said I was Han Solo. Also: After reading that, I almost deleted this post.
  3. http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/4020/20060112xwing4cg.th.png I kept this one very plain. Let me know what you think.
  4. Commander Tex, whats the procedure for transfering to Intel and where can I get a hold of the Zoot file?
  5. Does my promotion to Lt. Commander (with this post) qualify me to take over Intel?
  6. Did you miss the part where I still need to put myself through college?
  7. YES! When your attempt to earn an 'honest' buck interferes with my entertainment, I will blame you for me being bored.
  8. *Disgustedly* Well who's in charge of Intel then sir?
  9. I can go with that. I got a good laugh. Tofu's 2000+ Post Rank: "The Essentially Omnonsensical Being" You wanna change that so it makes a little more sense Scath?
  10. Were you being sincere or sarcastic?
  11. This is correct, with the exception of 'Agent' being used in place of 'Alpha'. That was my fault, thanks for catching that SM. Like BS I thought something was wrong. I was basing what I wrote off of what I remembered reading 6+ months ago. D16, I have to disagree with you. Alpha Red wasn't developed by Danni, Cilghal, or Jaina. It was largely the Chiss that developed the virus. They [the Chiss] still would have encountered the Vong. They would have gotten examples of Vong Bio-tech. AR's development WASN'T predicated on the discoveries made at Eclipse Station. I'm not saying that they weren't useful, just that they weren't neccesary. BS, I agree with you about the Eclipse. I would build something that big just for the demoralizing effect it would have on the enemy. The guns, shields, and hull are all just bonuses as far as I'm concerned. NOTHING in SW is indestructable. Even the Sun Crusher suffered severe damage when hit w/ the Death Star Prototype's Superlaser. It would've been POSSIBLE to destroy DS2 from the outside, but as many have already said, losses would've been severe. Which would you prefer Tofu, a scientifically accurate movie where ships in space make no noise, or a movie where you get to hear the engines and the explosions in space?
  12. *Doesn't know if he should be pleased that so many are quoting/responding to his posts, or worried that it seems that many of the replies are aimed against him.... Decides 'Screw it, they want to argue or debate, I'm all for it. * I only brought up C-14 to support myself when I said that science isn't always right. Tofu, you're wrong. the Half-life of C-14 is a little over 5700 years. See these sites: http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1997/MargaretKong.shtml, http://www.scenta.co.uk/tcaep/nonxml/science/constant/details/Carbon-14%20half%20life.htm, http://science.howstuffworks.com/carbon-142.htm, http://www.ndt-ed.org/EducationResources/CommunityCollege/Radiography/Physics/carbondating.htm. Another thing Tofu, i is the symbol for the square root of -1. So, the square root of -4=2i. So far what I've used this on the most is the quadratic equation. Scath, for arguments (sp?) sake, I'll say that the Earth was created/organized largely as it is today using pre-existing matter. Also, "essentially omnonsense"=never makes any sense? GAT, thank you for the information. I'll look it up when I get the chance.
  13. I'll be the first to admit that I allow myself to get carried away. Do I honestly expect the Chinese to start WW3, no not really. Do I think them capable of using nukes, I wouldn't put it past them, BUT I would be surprised if they actually did it.
  14. So you're going to punish ME for TOFU's stupid comments? Scath, I thought you were better than that. You should just be punishing the idiot that made the comment, not all the whole SWR community.
  15. That's an AWESOME buy Zer. I'm jealous. I've probably spent between $750 and $1000 on my personal collection of SW books. You just picked up 75% of my collection for 7%of the price.
  16. So why is Zoot's marker off the coast of Japan when his location says 'Downtown London'?
  17. In that case I'll look for one today or tomorrow and see what they say. EDIT: I JUST (1:10 PM CST) asked what they (ST fans) call us (SW fans). I await their replies. http://www.trekfansunited.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9474&pid=334673&st=0entry334673. That's the link to the other, inferior site for an inferior SciFi community.
  18. I just started sketching it on 16 Dec. My abilities are limited to 2D. I've gotten pretty good at top-view 2D X-Wings. I made it up Krytos. Any similarity is do to the popularity of Mon Cal engineering.
  19. Did you understand the way I had phrased it the first time?
  20. I've got a couple of things to say to this...First of all we all know that matter can't be created or destroyed, it can only change its form. Keeping that in mind, who's to say that the matter that was used to create this solar system (or even just this planet) wasn't taken from other places in the universe? Why couldn't another planet, or several other planets, have been destroyed and then the remains used to create something else? Second - There's a technique called Carbon-Dating. I had to know something about it for some science class back either late in my grade school career or early in middle school, which was sufficciently long ago that I don't remember the specifics behind the technique, so I won't even pretend to go into them. Getting back to my point, I read/heard somewhere that some guy's dog died. He decided that he wanted to see just how accurate Carbon Dating was, so he froze the body, then he baked it, and he did all sorts of things to it, finally burying it in his back yard. a few days or weeks later he dug up the body and took it to some scientist, told them he had dug it up in his back yard and asked them to date it for him. They ran their tests and when the results came back, the results said the dog had been dead anywhere between 300 and 500 years. Now just imagine what a world-wide flood would do to those numbers.... To me thats proof positive that science isn't always right. Third - I had one at one point, I know I did.....guess the family history of Alzheimer's is hitting me at a young age...
  21. Thank you Pparis. You are mostly correct, I'm not sure of the book, It's been too long since I actually read through them to know for certain. It was GAI that released Agent Red. AR DID find its way to Couruscant/Yuuzhan'tar, and it WAS then sent after Zonama Sekot. I'll double check on the book and let everyone know on Thursday at the latest. (Won't be at this computer tomorrow.)
  22. Sorry, must've misinterpreted the reference.
  23. This COULD be wrong, but here's what I've come up with. Just let me know if I've mad a mistake and I'll correct it. EDITS ARE IN RED Zoot - on account of the fact that the location is the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (Jahled or Sneaky_Zoot, let me know if the Zoot marker was placed there deliberately, IF either of you placed it.)Scath implied this is THE Zoot Wuherclone - I couldn't find any posts by anyone with this name or a name resembling it. This name DOES sound familiar to me though. Registered Member Ender702 - See Wuherclone for explanation. Registered Member RedBeard - I couldn't remember this name as a post-er on this forum, but I looked anyway, without success. Not a member. Vel - Same as RedBeard May be Vel Koon, Registered Member Easter Egg - Didn't even bother looking as Tofu placed this one and then mentioned it. Rebellion Reloaded Labs - Didn't bother looking. Sounded more like someone throwing a marker out onto the map.
  24. I'll keep this one short and sweet do to the nature of the post Scath just quoted. *offers up a sheepish grin by way of apology* I just want to let everyone know that, despite the way in which I wrote that, I wasn't all that excited when I wrote that post. Scath, yes I think there is such a thing as an esentially omnipotent being. I won't elaborate at this time, but if someone asks me to I am willing to.
  25. Or a group of 2 ft tall scavengers. Sorry Scath, gotta vote you down.
