Abe Lincoln once said something on the lines of 'Democracy will work until politicians figure out how to make democracy work for them.' I know I most likely mis-quoted that, so don't anyone get all bent out of shape if you know the actual wording. Guess what my friends, that day has arrived. Think back to the end of June when the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that a local gov't could kick someone out off their land and then give said land to a developer, just because they think a retail outlet would do the community more good financially. You all know what that means don't you? It means that if Walmart or some other business decides they could make buku bucks if they just had a store where your house is at, they can legally take it from you. http://www.620wtmj.com/_content/talk/charliesykes/index.asp?id=8&entry=8519 (Here's a link if you want some more info on that. I don't know all the particulars, I assume they have to buy the land for market value, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have to, but just the fact that you can't keep your house anymore just plain pisses me off.) We're getting close to the Empire that so many of you love. "So this is how Democracy ends, with thunderous applause." (Again I apologize if I missed a word here and/or there.) I'm willing to debate anyone who wants to.
