I was reading in the bath today the Illustated Companion to the Attack of the Clones. Concerning John Williams it states: Williams is already looking forward to Episode III. A pity, to say the least. Fact: At one time there existed EIGHT species of tiger, there now only exists 5, all of them SEVERLY ENDANGERED to the point that one of the species is considered hopeless. This is indeed a sad point, for tigers are big and fluffy, and as someone who realishes wildlife like you, will think the wolrd a more gray place without them. However, they also possess teeth and claws capable of tearing us to shreds, and would generally do so if you bumped into one in the wild, and given the human popluation continues to grow their compatibility with humanity is put into question. Holy shit! Dude, how long ago was this? Back in the 90's at some dark point. As I think Teukros tried to convey, words brake down into meaninglessness when you try and express that moment of devestation when you realize your records are gone.... What hurt most was the time, effort, and energy it took me to get those records, and the realization there was no way I was going to be able to replace them in anything short of the other side of five years. CD has enabled me to get most of what I lost back, though in most cases on Japanese import, which costs muchos money. One thing I will say about vinal though, is that my experiances of trying to DJ with CDs has been an absolute nightmere. oh... Rush-Bastille day

This vinal-junky gibberish is gobblidegook. As soon as you put a needle of whatever quality on a hunk of plastic called a piece of vinal, you encounter loss of quality. Figure. Ten feet behind me i've got about seven grands's worth of stereo, cables of course included. My stint as a DJ ended essentially ended when a braindead girl in carge of a box of my finnest extremely expensive records left it on a flight of stairs waiting for a minincab here in London. I lost vinal LPs from Brazil that had cost me anything from £30 to over £100 each. That night I was destroyed. The morning after I made the decision to go to a Buddhist monestry for three weeks. Which I did, shortly after. But now i've overcome my loss, i've been able to replace my losses on CD with carefully searching on the web.... and gosh they sound better on top-spec hi-fi equipment.....
