You're probably bumping into the frustrating game colour palettes! From my experiance replacing stuff for Reloaded it became apparent the game engine uses multiple palettes; one for the dll folder, one for the tactical folder, etc, which is incredibly annoying.

Granted dude, but: my qualm with the fight sceens was sort of like, for example you and me having a Jedi Duel inwhich one of us, quite frankly is hurling a teddy bear at the other. *visualize mode*

Amen bro... but heck, the game is so old now to newer SW titles; isn't the continued interest somewhat short of... remarkable? Or is it that the game, with Revolution's RebEd, has given it a lease of life quite frankly unheard of in the gaming community? Obviously true, I was just a little shocked at the stats, that's all... Actually, i've suspected this for years now , just the SW gamming community late waking up to the fact some older games haven't necessarilly been outclassed...

What I haven't enjoyed seeing in the last two prequals was the 'cartoonish' Jedi fight sceens we were spared in TPM; I mean, I appreciate Yoda being 3ft tall poses a problem in a fight, but the sheer extent of the leaping about was more akin to rather over the top Hong Kong martial Art films rather popular at the moment... which I don't like..

That it certainly would! This is a very good example of what personally can't get 100% right. In photoshop i've figured the blending options with inner/outer glow etc, and the obvious transparency the author used, but can't figure the edge-glow effect* A2-D2's holographic 'beam' is obviously noise, by that option, altered slightly over ten or so frames.... Actually I beg to differ... The CC-9600 Frigate has a turbo laser range of 75... The strike Cruiser has Turbo laser AND ion cannon ranges of 60... ..with speed and maneuverability to match, these guys are the dark horses of the game.
