  1. I was at London Zoo again yesterday. The baby Otters have just been let out from the protection of their enclosure: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RgAQA0kVofg2TM6aSeu!CDMFjH8olHZ7CUkMOs*vRhKKFNfgPZA2wXoIAb*ABE4f8eRkB6RWIJDzBOd7xxuBiw86CuHsWK6QjpE53IBKkJI/Untitled-2.jpg Cute aren't they? Naturally I couldn't wait to get home and bring the full weight of the Empire against them: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QgCJAgYTD3ZBPtW7XZldJzMcLKpgDqXUxwMYJs6DX6H6qT4eVcXXFinQDHwPnhOzkcPTvanPmilcB3yLN59jm*3FaQh5Vcr8KEbppf0HZO0/DS.gif ----- I'm beginning to suspect I may need help...
  2. It was renamed, but I think by the authorities to 'protect' kids from having what they percieved as 'assassins' as their heros. This is probably true as far as sensitivity on the part of Lucasarts, especially when you consider the IRA were still fighting their 'rebellion' when the game was released. ..which is why it seems a mystery why it was marketed in the rest of Europe as Supremecy as well....
  3. In a round about way. La_Forge let me know his brother was visiting London and suggested I meet up with him to exchange a few things. So I met him outside the British museum, collected a huge box of extremely nice goodies, and had time to show his bro and his girl an extremely cool place full of replica light sabers and Klingon axes not least. I'm off to Hungary when a certain task is achieved to put my feet up for a while a share a few beers with him...
  4. The one I found was meant to create construction points I guess, but it doesn't seem to work... DarthTex: That was my sole purpose, to try and find means to contact the designer of it, but there's no lead. Has anyone attempted to contact Revolution btw, at least to get the RebEd source code?
  5. East Finchley, London.
  6. Nice one M! I actually found the resource editor very late last night, and am once more completely dispirited. There is no means to contact the author, and it doesn't seem to work in any case. Ho hum.
  7. Forgive me for not having PCs when I was at school... Torrents?
  8. Yes I was wondering about that too. But as far as I know, it's almost impossible to crack a source code. Vakundok and Mask did some cracking, but I think those were just tries for understanding the hexadecimal lines stored in the dat files. If you have a lot of freetime, you possibly could hack it too, by changing some numbers in those files, and wait what will happen. Emm... here's something i've just thought/remembered about, but there was a resources editor/cheat for the game (which I can't find on my HD)* where you could generate maintenance points. The person who developed this must have had some reasonable knowledge of the game-files to produce this. This is something I will privately pursue if someone can provide me with the said editor. Further: Not just the ability to edit starting energy etc, but to drastically increase the new system energy/resources event; in the long term, perhaps even have the option to 'build' system energy/resources. Makes sense. Gives the side with just six sectors left to the opponant, means to strike back... *someone please help me on this.
  9. Sadly we can't help you other than by directing you to the Lucasarts site (if you live in the states), or Ebay for a fresh copy. Good hunting! EDIT:http://search.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Rebellion_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8
  10. Breakdancing...? http://voffka.com/archives/yoda_dog.jpg Got bigger ears though...
  11. I hope so DC. Now please tell us what sort of fiendish experiment you are conducting in your avatar, with such glee, and upon what...
  12. The word is he's not going to do the prequals; though you never know. Apparently his hosting space collapsed due to linkage strain, so their obvious popluarity (hopefully) will go to his head, and he will... His profile where I found it says he's doing Raiders of the Lost Ark next...
  13. The trilogy is complete: http://x11.putfile.com/11/30501141218.gif
  14. http://www.sayagain.co.uk/b3tapix/images/atatat.gif I only found it.... that is all.
  15. At the end of RotS Palpatine tells Anakin to order the droid ships to stand down (switch themselves off) given they control the droids, as seen in PM, that answers your question. What has George Bush got to do with this, though?
  16. Speaking all of which, check out this clever use of said program, with the witching season an' all, I found: http://www.sayagain.co.uk/b3tapix/images/vladimpaler.gif Vlad the impala...
  17. Running the risk of perhaps being wrong, doesn't ImageReady only come with the full version of PhotoShop, which is rather expensive at retail? It is a handy tool though...
  18. It is, along with the limitations of outer rim systems (Yay, lets colonize and defend a system with one energy slot, and two building-options)the killing point of the game. The programmers around here who have given the game so much can't address this without the source code, as was said previously. Given most of you lot seem to either be at school or university, and ultimately with access to reverse engineering software and/or expertize that could ultimately solve this problem (not least), i'm still stunned none of you guys haven't ventured the possibility. It's not as if you have to announce your findings here where it might poke the ears of the vile fiends at Lucasarts. Contact me, for example, independantly. I know who can get the real magic out of this wonderful title. I think it will endure longer than the upcomming Star Wars Red Alert.
  19. http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RAAAALoUwNX18yD7aGviwZkpJfe6kPYGtzaZ7TlFGlGARyy3IZAEabExD4NwVqoLzz!kyCGwslAAAHGz9CUAXS5VHGir6U5wUenMJDhemrk/yodawoo.gif Happy birthday dude!
  20. I think it's reasonably obvious from the prequals by now that Palpatine 'engineered' the entire separatist conflict from the onset in his cunningly-disguise as Darth Sidious. To suggest the Droid armies could be used by the Jedi is a tab close to overlooking the obvious... In my mind, Palpatine orchestrated everything from the beginning, for his his excuse to create the Empire and it's awesome military machine, which in turn destroy the Jedi. He always controlled the droid armies from the start. Crafty fellow. Very crafty Sith...
  21. I was at pains which of the three posts you just wrote I agreed on most, so I just quoted the last. I enjoyed the Thrawn books when they came out, but have since more or less given up on Star Wars expanded stuff, this Vong stuff included for the little i've been exposed to. It's not just the badly written stuff i'm constantly reminded is now offical canon, but the shear stupidity that all this entails. So I go a step further than Paul, and think by and large the entire expanded universe to be uninteresting...
  22. Must be in the pipline by now, so you know which SW site to check out..
  23. The dude made Empire Strikes Back: http://x2.putfile.com/10/29700173131.gif
  24. Not a bad choice GAT, and you're reasons as to why. I liked Oliver Reed in his hayday before his love of drink started to nibble into his capacity to make films. Ian McKellen is an extremely good actor, as was demonstrated in his quite incredible performance in LotR for actors who are still alive.
  25. What was most incredible about the first one was the file size! The dude kept it under 200K for all that animated action. Most impressive. Anyway... trick or treat, anyone: http://members.aol.com/xsgerry/tot.jpg
