  1. WOOOO!!! Oh dear Trej! That's rather good, and transforms the game virtually beyond anything else i've seen, besides RebEd itself. All my Imperial fleets have moved. Everything has moved. Gosh, it looks like the DeAgostini map.... You're d'man! Edit: Upon closer inspection i've just been noticing you've actually edited the planet images, even in the encyclopedia entries! Excellant, though your choice for Tattooine and Mon Calamari do seem...a little....odd...
  2. Ok guys, Evaders has just uploaded some of the cards i've been pestering him with, one of which is one i'm quietly quite proud of; Russel Crow as Baron Fel! Not because I think it's the 101% article, but because it was my first real attempt at using someone's head onto a card background. Sure, I know when you look closely you can see the obvious failings in my imaging skills, but it works in gameplay quite well. My question is this: how on earth do I 'merge' the neck colours into the card template i'm using? I'm no expert on imaging skills, so a fairly basic brief run through would be much appreciated! It seems more rewarding to create cards, even when using real people, to have a Star Wars themed template/costume! Thanks guys!
  3. ..and I forgot to mention...it's the first place that LucasArts in any capacity have finaly allowed an official publication to state that Star Wars Stormtroopers are, as we guessed a while ago, clones.... Which is quite heavy, given that shags the Thrawn trilogy to some respects... Emmm... We all ponder. Now it's my assumption that anybody in an Imperial fully encased helmet is a clone; AT-AT drivers, TIE Pilots, Scout Troopers, perhaps even to Death Star Gunners; which is why 'our heros' didn't give a flying Woo when they laughed off casually the destruction of the Death Stars... Just theories guys... But quite concrete now GL has firmly got underway with the conlcusion of our universe's final secrets...
  4. I discovered this COW-TROOPER on the net yesterday; spent quite alot of today trying to think of something witty to throw it at the site....but could think of nothing I guess if anyone is hit by a swift blast of wit to underscore this wierd image, here's the spot to light the match, so to speak! Anyway, you can just picture the unfortunate Imperial Captain's expression as he turns to Lord Vader on the bridge: NO YOU FOOL! I SAID SET A COURSE FOR CORUSCANT! Dinochick! Click Here! I'm sure you'll understand! BTW: As some of you might or might not know, i've got a job with a new company after thirteen or so years at the last one doing one thing or another. The bottem line is is that I used numerous corporate email addresses to create msn groups in order to host images, that have appeared on this site. If you didn't save the cool Star Wars ones I uploaded onto my space, and subsequently this site; take some time to hark back through all the gibberish i've been posting here and save what you want. Time shouldn't be to dramatic, the new management are to thick to suss out what the msn warning emails will be about, but once the groups go, all the cool stuff will be gone forever! I've naturally been saving what I can. I pay for secure webspace now, if anyone is interested contact me for the coolest place in the galaxy! An avatar you've always wanted to host, but not known how to? Star Wars stuff you think is cool, but need online hosting space? I might just be able to help! Contact me
  5. Yes Glandry, this tips me to the dark-side as I sense it does you... The cars passing my secret location usually only get a volley of bricks or three before my anger and frustration is calmed enough to wander off home mumbling about how much could be done with the game if lucasarts gave us some answers to the bloody programing of the game.... which is addressed in the thread 'If you could talk to game's developers...' It's agonizing! Now days, we've got the talent and tech know how to blast this game yonder with such a shuve it's limited graphical-game play would be blissfully ignored by all the other stuff we could imput, like a decent cut scene of Imperial Commandos taking out the Rebel-vermin's backyard... Good thoughts though Glandry, don't go for the bricks, I was of course stretching the fine fibre of truth...
  6. The only way such a thing is possible, and it's nothing to do with which side you're on, but down to how tight your available maintenance pool is; which does effect the speed at which things are built. Having said that, and I have no idea of the status of your current game, BoShek, dude; but your opponent might have overlooked the fact his trusty collections of one and two shipyards/training facilities/construction yards, just might not keep up with your four, five and sixes! I shall now go and mumble somewhere else.
  7. Emmm.... given all his posts seemed to have been edited once, my guess is that he's removed the original post text to this pretty red... Question is why
  8. I stumbled across some hyperspace backgrounds for ships this morning whilst looking for something else. Have a look in Strategy.DLL, numbers 10426 and 10423; might be what you're looking for!
  9. Wow! That sounds very exciting Mask! There's no chance of peak of the remodelled game play galaxy for us guys not involved in making the TC is there? Or do we have to be patient....mumble...
  10. Thanks guys/gals! What my little speech was really trying to say was that a site is only the cool place to hang out due to the quality of the people who hang out there. So what I was mumbling about was really raising a glass, of some very fine wine, to the site! thanks all the same!
  11. Wow! I've only just noticed! I guess a few Woo words might be in order! This is an excellant site (for an excellant game), so a big woo to JediIgor for paying the bills, and Evaders for keeping it up and running. Hats off to you, gentlemen! Also a big Wooo to you guys who have contributed to the site in the time i've been here, and made it the cool place to keep comming back to; you know who you are, Scathane, SOCL, Mask, Elvis, Trej, Pucho, TK, LaForge, Paul,Untimely, DinoChick, amongst others....heck to everybody! Let's keep it going guys, we've achieved so much already! http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TQDtNo0Yg!OdmoETNIZ3AAwztqHYtyGCljVVMKgln!O1QGToyqvmrW3dSdDe8F1srg*OS32H70bhe9bOlQhcOTuyeVJRdIHSuMs!sRmOMweYvVYLnIUwFg/swrebellion-rocks.gif?dc=4675434507488738497
  12. Cool Scathe! Work on that dude in your own sublime pace! Reminded of that today, I sent this: Jason, Assuming you did pass on my message, did the 'game's developer,' respond in any fashion other than silence? As stated previously, all i'm asking your help to achieve is to expand my personnal amuzement for the game, given you guys seemed to have left absent from the original game. With better tactical battle ship-models, i'm now in the final process of expanding the fighter options for both sides from four to seven. A snag! I badly need the game's original source code in order to accomplish this! Help! The game is what, now about six years old; you dudes have done nothing with any expansion, please let me have the joy of injecting some serious new lease of life in my favourite game! I just need your help with the source code! Or are you guys holding back because you've already got something in the pipe-line? In good faith, -Jahled Ok; before some of you dudes get creative with my inbox, I do not pretend to be an expert or submiter of the cool stuff like new ship models or fighters, respect to the dudes producing such stuff! My soul desire is to have the oppitunity to have game-play with stuff like I said; which would require the bloody source code. Can you grasp how cool the game would be? Call me a lost course, but keep going we must....
  13. Ok, bored as I was today, and without jobs to deliver, I found myself in Forbidden Planet, a Sci-Fi comic book store in central London. Browsing, I found myself strangely drawn to the 'ST...' section of the comics section, and began casting my fingers through titles, until suddenly I found my fingers lifting 'Empire Volume One-Betrayal,' from the shelves. WOOOO!!! IT IS AWESOME! The art is fantastic, after a number of questionable rescent titles, and the story suitably dark, concerning itself with the Empire just before A New Hope.' Go and give LucasArts your hard earned bucks for this one, they will hopefully notice and give us more of the same.....
  14. A number of ways. Chiefly i've allowed the rebels to secure entire sectors, while i've being doing the same but by leaving one system for them. (It's always that crap one with two energy slots!) except for Seswenna or what ever it's called; that's far to important to allow any rebel presance). I've also being deploying an extremely patient attitude; ensuring that systems are well defended before I move on. Systems that are essentially undefendable; thoughs you would invest more maintenance in system defences than you get out of their resources, i've been ignoring. The result has been large swathes of the galaxy under rebel control, including entire sectors, and only one natural disaster. As long as I keep my Imperial Fleets strong patroling Imperial space, and constantly circulating my damaged fighter squadrons to systems with ship yards (damaged ships and squadrons repair faster), the rebels aren't really a concern.... though I am a bit worried about the fleet gathering over Besbin i've just discovered...that includes twelve Bulwark Battle Cruisers...
  15. The Empire overlooked the fact that nobody reads English in the Star Wars universe.....
  16. Hello dude! You seem as elusive as Elvis!
  17. I'm actually getting serious game-play evidence that you suffer natural disarsters in accordance with how successful you are being during the game. My latest campaign against the rebel vermin has been one of serious 'playing turtle,' resulting in not one of the dreaded event (@about day 1200) but frequent messages telling me I have new resources and system energy. This is game three i've held back to see what the AI does. Very revealing.... I think i'll kidnap a view more rebel scum to drop them on a very injured Skywalker to see how force-sensitive they are, before my Jedi move in for the kill.
  18. Don't believe anything Mask said, Untimely; all conflicts end thus! BTW: Mask dude, I forgot my responsibilities!!! Voice recording will resume tomorrow, boss.
  19. Indeed oh Masked One! The Admiral is back!!!
  20. If any of you guys not from the UK can access our television, there's a series called 'Holby City,' on Tuesday nights which has the actors who plays Wedge and Captain Pancake or whatever he's called from the Episode One, both as doctors. Don't thank me, because it's an ER rip-off, and is a bit crap, in my opinion. But it is fun to our Wedge being surgical with something other than TIE fighters...
  21. Err...How Embarissing... I linked the wrong one!! ...I can't remember what the right one was. Damn. Such is life!
  22. I found this piece of Porn on the internet earlier today. I'm as shocked as you are.
  23. Don't get me started!
  24. Welcome back Untimely! I hope RL hasn't been to hard or harsh in the last couple of months. It seems like a looonnnggg time! I know what you're saying about 'returning to Rebellion,' same here; despite what graphical delights newer games offer, there's some magic about the game time just can't exstinguish. Welcome back!
  25. Given everything is available somewhere by using resource hacker, I guess if you did some methodical searching using that tool, you'll find it somewhere; and be able to import a new image. When you do, let the rest of us know, dude!
