  1. Shannon Doherty was in the show, now she isn't, Rose McGowan i sin her place.
  2. UNTIMELY! You heretic! How dare you to recommend recommend to run in 256 colors. Do you not appreciate the milliions of colors that your eyes can perceived that you do suggest to use 256 colors. For this you shall rot in a 16 color Hell. Long live 16 bits or more....
  3. I can't keep up with you guys arguing more strongly on the Iraqi issue, partly because my own country isn't involved in it. Costa Rica and the rest of Latin America iis agaisnt the war for the more obvious reasons: 1. Influence on the future, oil prices will rise, some of our countries depend on it and any rise will undoubtly affect the economy pretty hard. 2. Some of our countries have been governed by puppet rulers. Latin America knows better than any other region sof the world what it's like to be ruled by the U.S. nicaragua, a land on the northern border of Costa RIca was ruled by Anastasio Somoza for a a very long time. He was a dictator at best a butcher at worst. Civilians were ruthlessly "silenced" and he also "took advantage" of the Nicaraguan money reserves. HE was on the pay-roll of the U.S., as one U-.s president put it: "Somza may be a son of a bitch, bu the is our son of a bitch." The U.S. installed rulers or U.S. supported have unstabilized the region, Guerillas, Counter-Guerrillas, COunter-Counter Guerrillas, PAramilitaries. SOme of this governors installed to keep a check on the communist influence in SOuth America. Nicaragua became a WEst-East front in latin America. Nicaragua is now a poor land and more Nicaraguans are immigrating into our country. Sure Saddam has to go, and the only ones with the right to do it are the Iraqis, no other country or government in the world can actually force him to go, and they are the ones to set up a government later. In the last two centuries there has been little political evolution. Anarchism, Leninism and Marxism have become taboos, and because we are greatly influenced by the Western hemisphere he think of the Republic and Democracy as right goverments. But both of them are really old, Greeks had democracy, ROmans had a REpublic. No one had come up with new government forms, because tehre is no need for it, the ones sitting in the government won't start planning to overthrow themselves and found a new more functional government. There is no evolution in the governmental ideals and theories, that branch of human science has been athrophied. Wardrums keep sounding, media keeps announcing a war as if were a movie. Gulf Wars Episode II: Attack of the Gringos. Then they state some facts. I doubt sincerely that the war is to remove Saddam or to disarm Iraq, more than that the actual war is going on in Europe. London, Madrid, Rome vs. Paris, Berlin and Moscow. Poland and the "New Europeans" are inbetween, as well as the Scandinavians, Dutch, Ires, Belges. In teh second half of the 20th century the U.S. economy ruled the world. WIth the Euro and the consolidation of a european"unity", there is a new rival to the dollar. The U.S. wants to rule the worlds, and therefore has to break the European unity. More than oil or safety for Israel and the entire world or to free the Earth from Saddam and his mustache, the U.S want to spilt Europe, perhaps even the Nato to ocntinue their world supremacy.
  4. OOC: This is the Galaxy map pictured in the NJO books. http://www32.brinkster.com/trejiuvanat/map.htm This is if anyone hasn't been following fleet movements and stuff. Yaga Minor is somewhere in the Empire, Bastion is the Satirnaynian system. On the other side of the galaxy is Tatooine, Ryloth. Tatooine is where the REbel fleet is currently located.
  5. I am from Costa Rica a nice little country somewhere in the middle of the american continent. I have both American and Canadian friends, as well as German and Taiwanese. I agree taht one gets to hear bad tales about the U.S. Americans. Swarmer, sure they do jokes about Canadians and Igloos. But I have spoken to some that actually believed that he had no cars, nor technology in Costa Rica, he wasn't joking either. I once had a serious discussion with German about politics, eventually he told me I should stick to planting coffee trees, I was quite angry at him . First of all we aren't Indios (percentage of actual Indios is less than 10%) nor are we completely devoted to agriculture, tourism is waht generates more money andwe even have an Intel fabirc around and coffee isn't grown in trees, it's a tall bush. . I'm sure some of you didn't know that, the coffee part, that is. AS most Latinamericans we actually get slightly angry at the use of the term American for U.S. American, up from Canada down to Chile we are all American.
  6. For the Imps The TIE Int, eventually Thrawn equipped them with shileds, not very strong but still fast and deadly. A-9, mass-production, shields, so ugly Rebel will only want to kill them. Scimitar, Assualt Bomber, fast (for a bomber), pretty good weapons, actually featured in the Thrawn trilogy(Assault on Mrlsst). Defender, probably the best Imp fighter. While V-38 had cloak and all it only appeared in Reb Assualt II, not in the book or comics, the game wasn't considered in the essential chronology, Tie FIghter was, the TIe/Def also appears in Isard's Revenge. The TIE Dorid could subsittute the A-9 as the mass-production fighter per excellence, it's much of the same thing. But having a Non-Sienar fighter would show that the Empire isn't what it formerly was, we could also give them Preybirds instead. Cheap and weak but have hyperdrive and shields. About the Rebel Fighter weren't they already chosen. Gank? Igor?
  7. OOC: I think I'll fill in Garth's blanks. "I'd say that there has been quite some progress." Garth said proudly. "The info a lone would be worth a kilo of medals." Slicers. They keep thinking that because they excel at something the whole universe is at their feet. Loor thought contemptly, he did not trust slicers much. "Continue." "Yes, sir. There were three Rebel fleets operating in the sector lately. Most of them were of equivalent sizes, I doubt anything can actually harm your big majestical Imperial fleet." "The specifications, please." "Of course. But first I'll tell you that the fleet moved out of the sector, two of them are still near at hand, one at Ithor the other at Obroa-Skai. The third one, left the hyperdrive engaged for more time and now they are at the other side of the galaxy." "The location." "The Corellian Run, almost Wild Space. Tatooine, Ryloth, Zhar perhaps, might be even in Alzoc III or Geonosis. But that's the weird fleet, that has more flags and certain files I can't open." That last sentence came only with some difficulty out of him. Something you can't find out. Now that's something big."The specifications." Loor ordered. "Oh, yes. almost twelve Mon Cal cruisers various kinds from Light Cruisers to 80bs. Some Corvettes, and lots of Fighter CArriers, I will transmit a copy of the report to the bridge. The one file I can't hack is from Starfighter command." "Keep up your work." Then Loor was gone. The now cold Arallian dish didn't seem to enticing now. Garth sat again in front of the computer and wouldn't allow to be defeated by the REbels encrypters. OOC: Now that was fun. [/i]
  8. I've made some cards, and while I don't wish the cards leader position, smonica is better qualified for that, I can help to create some cards. Also I am part of the_mask's cookitrooper bataillon..um.. I mean the DLL Entries group, I can serve to coordinate some efforts, if necessary...
  9. I don't know about "Windowing" things, but last I knew one could Alt-Tab out of Rebellion. You had to have another program open, let's say Word then start Reb. I pressed Alt-P to put the game in pause, you wouldn't want your boss hearing Emp-22 reporting a Rebel blockade while you should be working, then ALt-Tab. Also Alt-Esc works, and every time a screensaver starts you get to the desktop with Rebellion still working or playing music.
  10. I would like to quote Han Solo on that last issue [...] "That's not what the Empire would have done, Commander," Han said. "What the Empire would have done was build a super-colossal Yuuzhan Vong-killing machine. They would have called it the Nova Colossus or the Galaxy Destructor or the Nostril of Palpatine or somethign equally grandiose. They would have spent billions of credits, employed thousands of contractors and subcontractors, and equipped it with the latest in death-dealing technology. And you know what would have happened? It wouldn't have worked. They'd forget to bolt down a metal plate over an access hatch leading to the main reactors, or some otehr mistake, and a hotshot enemy pilot would drop a bomb down there and blow the whole thing up. Now that's what the EMpire would have done." [...]
  11. "On the from authorities?" Iulan repeated SKywalker's words. "no, not exactly. There were some episodes with them back on COruscant, when I went to the lower, the very lower levels." "What would you want to do there?" WEdge Antilles asked, he wasn't suprised having known Luke, Corran and other Jedi trainees, he knew that they had a knack for being in the worst possible places. "I was lookin for infomration on the Clone Wars, my grandmother had told me some stories about my great-uncle, he was the JEdi in my family, so I wanted to know more. She told that of teh years of the CLone Wars she knew little, only that at the end of them he died fighting far away. I decided to go down there because if anyone knew about the CLone WArs he would have hidden himself there. I found a frined of my great-uncle, he told me of his death and that he had served under GEneral Kenobi." When mentioning Kenobi, Luke wanted to say something. But ELvis spoke first. "Interesting, but we have somethign else to do first. And you can come along." "Yes, sir." Iulan said. Elvis lead the way to a debriefing room, Iulan knew that it wasn't in use, and that Intelligence had been installing some equipment there. Zag Fel was already waiting for them there. "I brought all of you here to watch this." Elvis punched a key and a holo blossomed up, a recreation from Iulan's raid on the Satirnaynian system was tonights show. BOth Luek and Wedge commented some maneuver. Already nearing the end ELvis paused the holo when the Corvette arrived. "Watch carefully please." Iulan already knew it the corvette opened the hangar and nothing came out, energy reading had been made suggesting that somethign the size of a shuttle or bigger had left the hangar. Iulan hand't seen a thing. "nothing there." Wedge said. "I thought the same thign still I decided to leave." Iulan said. "You had a hunch? THat's good." Luke added. GEneral Elvis put the sequence of the Corvette again. Their private intel session had started...
  12. Iulan was sick of absolutely sick of it and he couldn't help it. Ironically he was sick a sickness. During the last debriefing he had gotten the flue from one of Elvis's pilots. BEcause it spread really fast the MD-1s had sent him on quarintine. For three days now, he had been in his room stashed away, receiving scarce visits of MD-1s and some friends that dared to break some rules and pay him a quick visit. But still most of his friends were busy with relocating the fleet to Tatooine. Sneeze. From his viewport he saw the desert planet hour after hour and concluded that it was backwater at its worst. From Yaga Minor to Tatooine, some change there. Iulan wondered what would happen with the campaign they had started. The names of YAga Minor and GArgon in his mind as well as the mysterious Corvette that had scared him in the Satirnaynian system. HE wondered that reasons about this relocation. Sneeze again. Would it be the Hutts, the Twi'Lek. Or simply a base form which they could cover the Outer RIm and Wild Space along the COrellian Run. Sneeze. The door chimed and it opened automatically, it would tdo so only to Md-1s and Iulan guessed it was time for one more protein soup. He was actually pleased that the droid did not bring the soup on a tray. Iulan was suspicious at once. Now, where do you have the soup? Iulan knew that the droid would give him soup, he had been kept in that regime for the last three days. He hated the soup. One hatch opened in the chest of the droid. You've hidden the soup, you droid from hell! But no soup came from the dorids chest, instead he put a small pills jar on his table. "The disease has stopped from spreading, you will still suffer some of the symtoms." Sneeze. "But you are out of quarantine. Take this pills regularly, each 8 hours.." Iulan thanked him took a pill and walked out of his room. Next stop, the cafeteria. no, next stop hangar, he couldn't be certain if the mechs had toyed with his X-Wing more than usual. In the hangar he was suprised to see Elvis there with other two men, both heroes, both legends he wanted to live up to. Luke Skywalker and Wedge ANtilles. Elvis noticed Iulan and led both men to him. "Luke, Wedge this is Iulan Stora. He's the one that came up with the tactic in the last battle." Dont' sneeze now. Sneezing in fron tof heores is not proper behaivor "Congratulations, that was quick thinking." Wegde shook his hand as did Luke after him. Elvis began to speak again, "There's another matter with him too. HE has JEdi ancestors in his family, and for a while I've been wondering if he has the ability too. Luke, would you mind to see if he actually has it?" "Now, let's see." The Tatooinian Jedi put his hands on Iulan head probing his mind...
  13. Iulan hadn't needed much time to jump in the cockpit of his E-Wing. While he had used X-WIngs for the last mission, Fel's emerald Squad would eb using E-WIngs today. Quickly we went throught the check-up flightlist. "Emerald Five, four lit." Iulan reported and blasted into space. "Emeralds, here Leader break by pairs, Five and Six coordinate with Shadow Five and Six against the squint squadron coming from Proud Order." "Copy, sir." Iulan reported. "Six on me." Two E-Wings and two A-Wings aginst a squad of Interceptor. Iulan took a glance at his recent promotion and flew towards the cloud. Almost against his wish he whispered to himself. May the Force be with us. He checked the weapon readings and switched for torps, he ordered Six and the Shadow to use warheads first. Iulan waited until he was in ange and shot the torps he quickly switched to lasers and shot. Hopefully this battle woudl end soon. A quick glance at the white bulk that was teh Proud Order made him rethink it. Hopefully it ends soon in our favor. OOC: I'm gonna be a little more sporadic in a my appearances.
  14. Untimely, I hadn't seen you around for a while. Yes, Clone Camp is a pretty good game l play it often enough to like it. Kill gungans and stupid little tradefed droids has become more like a sport for me. Does anyone know if there's a mod to change a whole civ for another. Let's say to get rid of the Gungans and have something like Yuuzhan VOng. That would be cool.
  15. that was my first thought too. Anyway, that was a discussion int he forums of theForce.net, the link to the discussion i found in the old Unofficial NJO page at http://unjoh.com I do hope it's still there. I've no time to look it up.
  16. I once destroyed Coruscant, just for the fun of it. I didn't have to worry about the Rebels capturing it.
  17. I put a new website at brinkster. http://www32.brinkster.com/trejiuvanat There are sixteen cards so far, not bad for a weekend. Considering I spent most of it figuring out how to use Lithunwrap properly on xwa-converted models. Once I return I'l put together the downloads, and hopefulll the models. Tsunami: Booster's there you can download him when you want. As for Boba in NJo there was some wild thoery going on if Boba was the major in Sernpidal.
  18. Kapp appeared more in the X-W Comics, in books he only appeared in Isard's Revenge here he leads a Noghri commadno team to rescue the prisoners. Page is better known than Kapp. Too bad we cannot set a research order on the SpecForces.
  19. I think you can only give the assasination missions to the specforces. In RebEd go to SpecForces select infitlrators or any other rebel specforce unit and change in the dropdown: Available mission are those of: selec there Noghri Death Commandos. Your rebel specforces should now be able to assasinate....
  20. What a breaktaking narration, you should perhaps try the RPG... Anyway it is good (?) to know that there will be more than one DS per game.
  21. I agree, Tsunami. It would be overkill to have both sovereign and Eclipse, unless you give them high maintenance and contruction points to avoid lots of them appearing everywhere. I looked up their stats and cam eo the conclusion that the Soverign has only very slightly shields and hull. Weapon and weapons arc and range are identical. I have to see about he starfighters. Anyway I'd go for Eclipse.
  22. Well I made eight cards and put together a website for them. the eight are: Corran, Elegos, Face Loran, Ghent, Karrde, Daala, Pellaeon and Zsinj. The address is http://trejiuvanat.tripod.com I'm going on monday on vacation, so tehre won't be much new cards in the next two/three weeks. But i'll make some new tomorrow...
  23. I don't think that would work, nor does adding new ship names.
  24. Yes either luke is hypspace, or busy in some mission.
  25. Yeah, a way to do it in Photoshop would help me.
